* AccidentalNightmareFuel: Due to the DerangedAnimation, there's bound to be some critters considered very creepy for kids.
* BizarroEpisode: This short was one of these for ''animation itself.'' It almost single-handedly established that not every piece of animation had to be a rip-off of Disney's latest short. However, Creator/MaxAndDaveFleischer had been producing bizarre animation for some time before this short came out. It helps that Warren Foster was the writer behind a lot of the surreal Fleischer plots, and it ''shows''. ''[[WesternAnimation/SwingYouSinners Swing You Sinners]]'' is probably the only one that matches ''Porky in Wackyland's'' absurdity though.
* EnsembleDarkhorse: The Do-Do. Despite only appearing in two short films (one of which was basically just a rehashing of the other) and only having a couple minutes of screentime in both (he doesn't even show up until almost five minutes into both cartoons) he became fairly popular. Also applied behind the scenes at Warner Bros.: The Do-Do and Wackyland would have faded into obscurity in the 90's were it not for the character and setting reappearing in several episodes of ''WesternAnimation/TinyToonAdventures''. The Do-Do even appeared in the ''Superman & Bugs Bunny'' 4-issue crossover, where he teamed up with Mr. Mxyzptlk, on top of getting his own themed event to coincide with his introduction to ''VideoGame/LooneyTunesWorldOfMayhem''.
* SugarWiki/FunnyMoments:
** The part where Porky is looking for the Do-Do, and then the Creator/WarnerBros [[VanityPlate logo]] [[NoFourthWall pops up]] (complete with steel guitar sound) and then the Do-do pops out of it, hits Porky with a slingshot, and then rides off with the logo into the distance, with the steel guitar sound playing in reverse.
** Also the part where the Dodo stops in mid-air mid-chase and Porky runs into his butt.
* HilariousInHindsight: At one point in the original short, a creature with the head of a dog on one end and the head of a cat on the other appears. Not many fans of 90's Creator/{{Nickelodeon}} [[WesternAnimation/CatDog would be able to dismiss this moment]] (funnier considering Nickelodeon used to broadcast Looney Tunes shorts from 1988 to 1999).
* OnceOriginalNowCommon: Considering so many bizarre, mind screwy things have come about since this short's debut, it really has lost the original intended impact it had back when it first debuted.
* ValuesDissonance: [[{{blackface}} There is a black duck with an oversized mouth]] [[ShoutOut on his knees saying]] ''[[Film/TheJazzSinger Mammy!]]'' [[Film/TheJazzSinger over and over.]]
