* FoeYayShipping: Tama has done this twice with Yuuto. Once during the ski resort arc ([[spoiler:and in her grown-up form. Naked. ''In the hot springs.'']]) and another after he saves Rinko and the Class President (Shimamura) from their deaths at the ferris wheel.
* GermansLoveDavidHasselhoff: Although ''Omamori Himari'' is obscure in Japan, reaching average rankings on the Oricon charts, it was a huge SleeperHit in North America, with some volumes being featured on ''The New York Times'' Manga Best Seller List on their first week of sales. Volume 0 took this trope up to eleven when it toppled {{Long Runner|s}} ''Manga/OnePiece'' and close-to-long-runner ''Manga/FairyTail'' on its first week! [[https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2012-10-05/new-york-times-manga-best-seller-list-september-23-29 The numbers don't lie!]] It was even ''one ranking short'' of toppling ''Manga/SailorMoon''!
* [[HoYay Les Yay]]:
** The ClassRepresentative on Rinko.
** Occasionally Rinko on Himari.
* {{Moe}}: HaremSeries; Naturally, TokenMiniMoe Shizuku is considered the cutest of the cast. Then we find out she is not so adorable after all...
* NightmareFuel:
** [[CuteMute Adorable little]] Tama [[spoiler: pinned Himari down, ripped her shirt off, and took a [[ImAHumanitarian huge, bloody bite out of her chest]]. Yes, they'd previously stated she ate other Ayakashi, who knew it was that literal in the manga.]]
*** [[spoiler: In the anime, Tama instead leaves bite marks much like a vampire's...in Himari's chest, the first time they meet. The second time, it's in the neck. Toned down for TV, obviously.]]
** For some, Shizuku's [[spoiler:very, very long and snake-like]] tongue probably qualifies for this, too, if it isn't fetish appeal. Though both fuels may overlap...
* NotBadassEnoughForFans: Yuuto is often disliked for letting the girls do all the fighting and [[DistressedDude always needing to be saved]]. [[spoiler:While he does have powers, they seemingly only show up when he or someone important to him is in mortal danger. THEN, any weapon he wields gets magically enchanted, and he is able to summon a PillarOfLight, knocking out even a raging Himari. Also, as of Chapter 43, he's ''coordinating'' their attacks against Tama.]]
* OT3: Yuuto/Himari/Rinko, Yuuto/Himari/Kuesu, Yuuto/Liz/Kuesu, Yuuto/Rinko/Kuesu, the list goes on and on.
** Likely an [=OT4=], maybe even [=OT5=]. Yuuto/Himari/Shizuku/Kuesu, and maybe Rinko or Lizlet added in. Tama, if he can convert her.
** The most likely grouping would be a [=OT4=] of Yuuto, Rinko, Himari, and Kuesu. Rinko because he knows her so well and has known her for so long; Himari because she was the first to know and befriend him (and she's the manga's title); and Kuesu because she was the first ''human'' girl that he met (who also stole his [[SacredFirstKiss first kiss]]).
** Taken up to eleven with the ending chapter where an unconscious Yuuto had an eight-way orgy, which Kuesu started. Apparently, Kuesu isn't actually the jealous type as long as she can go first. Accusations of DoubleStandardRapeFemaleOnMale would be incoming if the instigators weren't already ayakashi, among whom MightMakesRight is the rule.
* ViewerGenderConfusion:
** It's an ImprobablyFemaleCast. There are two kinds of guys, the obviously male, and the kind who are easily confused as female. There's even an UnsettlingGenderReveal, since the characters are as mistaken about the gender of that boy-youkai as the viewers are.
** Sasa, the one-legged youkai in human form? The one with the frilly clothes and skirt? It's a guy.
