* HilariousInHindsight: Its premise is very similar to ''Series/OneHundredDeedsForEddieMcdowd'', but of course, with cats instead of dogs.
* ViewerGenderConfusion: There is a bit of this with Nagi, who at first seems like a tall, boyish-looking girl, then is treated like a boy for more than half an episode, and in the end turns out [[TheUntwist really being a girl]].
* {{Woolseyism}}: Before the series was licensed, the subbing groups worked in their own functional Wooseysism. The small ShowWithinAShow at the end of every episode, Nyankoma ("nyan" being the Japanese onomatopoeia for "meow," and "koma" being [[{{Yonkoma}} a kind of comic strip]]), is Woolseyed into "[=MewView=]."
** Otaku USA (a magazine) notes that Kanako calls Junpei "Kou-sucka" which pretty much fits actually with "Kou-baka". Almost has the same insult meaning.
