* CrossesTheLineTwice:
** Rayna tries getting Intern 2 to date her by saying "I'm risky! I'm underage!"
** The reveal that Scene's teacher in Season 2 is a CovertPervert.
* EnsembleDarkhorse:
** [[GenkiGirl Scene]] is definitely the most popular character on the show among fans. Techno and Intern 2 are quite popular as well.
** Just the entire character of Emo falls under this.
** Rayna is a very popular character as well.
*** And let's not forget Gorgal, played by none other than Felicia Day.
** Harley Morenstein plays Jesus for only one scene, but he's ''very'' funny.
* HarsherInHindsight: Techno and Dubstep have the power to completely heal a person's injury once every 10 years, which they used it on a severely injured Country after thinking that their initial choice is going on just fine right now. Their initial choice? Avicii, who is dead 5 years after the video is released.
* HilariousInHindsight: Janet Varney, the voice of [[WesternAnimation/TheLegendOfKorra Korra]], as a team building expert who fails to get the My Music staff to work together, is particularly hilarious in light of the events of ''Korra'' season 2.[[note]]Long story short, the Water Tribe's about to go to war with itself, and it's partly Korra's fault.[[/note]] Even better, they'd outright name dropped TLOK earlier on in the second season of [=MyMusic=].
* IronWoobie: Country. Throughout her season, she gets multiple limbs broken, out and out ignored at several points, and the other staff don't always acknowledge her as being one of them. She manages to keep her composure, while staying a nice person, for a ridiculously long time.
* JerkassWoobie: Hip-Hop. [[spoiler:He's really a nerd, but owing to Indie's being a colossal {{Jerkass}}, he can't express himself.]]
** Idol in Season 2. She's trying to desperately fit in, but realises too late that she almost alienated her friends for good.
* LikeYouWouldReallyDoIt: Sure, Fine Bros, [[spoiler:you're really going to remove Intern 2 from the cast entirely]]. Sure enough, few fans were surprised when he started turning up again, albeit not in the office for the most part.
* MoralEventHorizon: In the eyes of some fans, Indie comes close to it when he mocks Intern 2 [[spoiler:even after he's left and is working in a supposedly bad job]]. It eventually gets to the point where the usual ExtremeDoormat chooses to stand up to him, and [[spoiler:his new place of work gets Indie arrested]].
** [[spoiler:Jeff or Straight-Edge]] ''does'' cross it for real when he [[spoiler:leaves Scene at the altar in their avatar wedding, after Nerdcore reveals he's cheating on her. It turns out his avatar is something of a murderous psychopath, too]]. This could all be put down to him just enjoying VideoGameCrueltyPotential, but when he reveals that [[spoiler:he just wanted to get into Scene's pants, and then outright ruins her hopes about a first kiss being wonderful]], you're glad that he's leaving.
* OneSceneWonder: Harley Morenstein as Jesus.
** Freddie Wong as DJ Elephant.
* ReplacementScrappy:
** Generally averted for [[spoiler:Country, who replaced Idol]], as she's seen as a refreshing change.
** An interesting case with [[spoiler:Jeff replacing Intern 2]]. He was seen as a great and wonderful character, ''until'' he ended up being the replacement for a large portion of the fanbase. [[spoiler:Needless to say, what real fans he had soon ditched him when he crossed the MoralEventHorizon]].
* RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap: It's fair enough to say that after Hip-Hop got some serious character development, he quickly became a liked character.
* SugarWiki/SheReallyCanAct:
** [[PlayingAgainstType Lia Marie Johnson as Rayna.]]
** Grace Helbig gets quite a few sad scenes in Season 2 which, if commenters are to be believed, actually made them cry.
* ShipTease: Techno and Dubstep. The fact that Tania Gunadi (Techno) fed Chris Clowers (Dubstep) a bit of her native Bahasa during the As Themselves interview only adds to it.
* TearJerker: Idol's scene in which she [[spoiler:leaves the company.]]
** Intern 2 [[spoiler:trying to say goodbye to everyone as Indie forces him to leave. His farewells to everyone else on The Mosh are quite heartbreaking as well.]]
** Scene [[spoiler:being dumped at the altar, then having her first kiss ultimately ruined]]. You'll really hate [[spoiler:Straight-Edge]] after seeing her so upset.
* TheWoobie: Intern 2 due to the amount of abuse he suffers.
** Scene also [[spoiler: after Website/FourChan kills all her online avatars and she becomes distant and emotionless.]] Later, Indie stars bullying her in an effort to get her to choose between the company and school. On top of that, [[spoiler:Jeff turns out to be ''real'' asshole and leaves her at the altar]].
** Rayna in season 2 is being neglected by Metal in favor of Tina and the new baby ([[CrossesTheLineTwice and the remote controlling his video camera]]), slowly turning her into this.
** Hip-Hop in Season 2 is upgraded from JerkassWoobie into this.
