!The 1963-1966 TV Series:
* SeasonalRot: Season 3. Between the colorization and the frequent time travel and other gimmicks, it just doesn't have the same tone as the previous seasons.
* ValuesDissonance:
** The usual sexism for that period, perhaps leavened by IfItsYouItsOK. In "The Matchmakers", a young couple, Howard and Marsha, have split up and Martin engineers their reunion by sending Howard a message that Marsha is seeing someone else. Howard comes storming up to her door and when she tries to slam it in his face he forces his way in.
** In "Poor Little Rich Cat", we're supposed to be amused/outraged that a woman left $650,000[[note]]over $5 million in 2020 terms[[/note]] to her cat and take it for granted that her relatives are exploiting the fund. Today, many more people are aware of what can happen to a beloved animal when its human dies, and providing for it is considered normal. Also, a trust fund is used to do this, not a will.

!The 1999 Movie:
* BaseBreakingCharacter: Zoot is either the [[EnsembleDarkhorse funniest]] or [[TheScrappy most annoying]] character in the movie.
* BestKnownForTheFanservice: Creator/ElizabethHurley as a shrewd, [[FemmeFatale seductive]] reporter? Yes please!
* NightmareFuel: That big green alien Lizzie turns into at the climax. After turning into it, she violently throws a {{Mook}} into a computer where it explodes, and she eats the other guard whole. The latter turns into an incident of TheMindIsAPlaythingOfTheBody. [[FridgeLogic Consider what probably happened when she ate the guard and turned back to normal]]. Indigestion much?
* {{Squick}}
** The old man with the dancing pecs. Try to [[BrainBleach unsee it]].
** The scientists ripping out Martin's antennae. ''Ouch.''
** Martin's bloated, disgusting belly after gorging himself on ice cream.
** After a chase through the sewers, Martin and Tim find themselves in a toilet, then witness a fat man lift the lid and prepare to drop his pants to use it (mentioning he ate four burritos). While his actual buttocks is not seen on-screen, a shadow of it is shown as he sits on the toilet. Then, they grow to normal size, and drive out of the house taking the man with him, knocking him (with his pants still at his ankles) into a garbage pile across the street.
* WhatDoYouMeanItsForKids: For a family film, there is plenty of un-family friendly elements in it. Plenty of subtle yet somewhat blatant sexual jokes, not to mention {{Mooks}} [[FamilyUnfriendlyDeath getting killed pretty horrifyingly]].
