* BrokenBase:
** Fans are divided as to which particular anime surpasses the other and vice versa.
** All four anime shows, as well as the movies, are divisive in terms of loyalty and faithfulness to the source material.
* CompleteMonster: See Monster/MarvelAnimation.
* HilariousInHindsight:
** This certainly won’t be Man2012}}-Man the only time that Creator/AdrianPasdar would be voicing Iron Man, nor would it seem to be the last.
** In Anime/MarvelAnimeWolverine, Creator/StephanieSheh voices a character named Agent Tsukino. Two years later and she begins voicing another, much more famous character with that surname.
* QuestionableCasting:
** In all things X-Men recently, Creator/SteveBlum has been the voice of Wolverine. In the Marvel Anime X-Men serial, he's also voiced by Blum... but not in Marvel Anime: Wolverine, or any of Wolvie's cameos in the other serials for that matter, in which Creator/MiloVentimiglia voices him, and Creator/SteveBlum voices his EnigmaticMinion rival. WordOfGod claims that they were aiming for a younger voice to match Logan's younger looking Hugh Jackman-ish design rather than his traditional look but retained Blum as Logan on the X-Men story.
** Creator/AdrianPasdar was also frequently criticized as Iron Man, with many finding the voice to be very unfitting.
** Subverted by the Hungarian dub of Anime/MarvelAnimeIronMan. Tony's voiced by the same actor as in the movies (as is generally every character that appeared in movie adaptations), but his performance is so different, lacking all the slick charm, that some thought they had replaced him with an untalented no-name.
* TheScrappy: This version of Logan/Wolverine was not very well received by fans, particularly for his Bishonen appearance and his slender, delinquent PrettyBoy image. Likewise, his voice acting from Creator/MiloVentimiglia was also reviled, with many criticizing him as completely unfit to play Wolverine, despite what the creators intended (see below). Many fans lamented that Creator/SteveBlum, the man most famous for voicing Wolverine, was not even remotely considered for voicing the role, despite him repeatedly proving his vocal versatility, and instead had him voice someone else entirely. Fortunately, by the time the X-Men anime was made, Blum was back to being his famous role to life once again, complete with his characteristic gruff, hairy, bulky, and intimidating appearance that fans recognize.
