!!YMMV items from the comics:

* EnsembleDarkhorse: The Daltons sometimes became even more popular than Luke.
** Rantaplan, to the point he got his own series;
** A minor exemple with Calamity Jane.
* MyRealDaddy: The majority of the fans refuse to acknowledge Laurent Gerra as Morris' successor.
** Technically, Laurent Gerra is the latest of the numerous Goscinny's successors, while Achdé is pretty faithful to Morris' drawing style.
* SeasonalRot: When Morris died and the series was written by comedian Laurent Gerra.
* VillainDecay: The Dalton Brothers have suffered quite a bit of it over the years. In ''Les Cousins Dalton'', their 1958 debute, they get the best of Lucky Luke, forcing him to service for a time. Within the story each brother is given different character traits. Joe is the mastermind, William obsessed with guns and using everything on sight for target practice, Jack is a master of disguise. Averell was naive but also a superb boxer. In fact he fights Luke to a standstill. Luke only wins by using his cunning, not his fists. The two combatants agree to meet for a rematch and retreat to their own rooms for sleep. Only Luke manages to releases mosquitos in Averell's room. The following day, Luke is fresh after a good night's sleep, Averell has not managed to sleep at all. He can barely walk, much less fight. Since then, several stories portray them as incompetents.
* WeirdAlEffect: At least in Francophone Europe, the Dalton brothers from ''Lucky Luke'' are much more recognizable than the historical Dalton gang.

!!YMMV items from the movies:

* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: In Go West: A Lucky Luke Adventure, there is a woman who sings a musical number that has no relevance to the plot.
* CrowningMusicOfAwesome: The 2009 movie is scored by [[WesternAnimation/{{Coraline}} Bruno Coulais]]. This is inevitable.

!!YMMV items from the cartoons:
* EarWorm[=/=]CrowningMusicOfAwesome: the theme song for ''Les Nouvelles Aventures de Lucky Luke'' is [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5jiulc5DRQ extremely catchy]]

!!YMMV items from the games:

* NightmareFuel: The GBC title ''"Lucky Luke Desperado Train"'' can get pretty creepy at times. Case in point:
** The BGM for the aforementioned "Explosive Mine".
** The SlasherSmile given by the guy in "[[RhythmGame Crazy]] [[UnexpectedGameplayChange Telegram!]]" if you screw up too many times (yup, someone working with a telegraph has a Slasher Smile - go figure).
** The ScareChord played when you die.
** A Continue option (available by collecting a silver coin with a hole in it) where you have to shoot faster than your own shadow: they managed to make the ''[[http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/050711_lucky_luke.jpg former image for the main article]]'' '''''creepy''''' thanks to DramaticWind and [[NothingIsScarier lack of music]].
** Most prominently, the GameOver screen, where you first see someone pointing a Gun at Lucky Luke's back (a Continue Screen available [[EasyModeMockery only in Sheriff mode]]) and then [[GoryDiscretionShot shifts]] to Barnaby the [[InexplicablyIdenticalIndividuals same-as-always]] undertaker as he holds his hands in cynical delight, with a poster reading Game Over (in typical "western" font). Can easily become High Octane for the most sensitive.
* CrowningMusicOfAwesome: one track in particular stands out, "[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TEKIlV40WxI&feature=related Train]]" from the first GB/GBC Lucky Luke game. While the series itself shows pretty good music overall, this one is [[EarWorm bound to get stuck in your head for a while]].
* GoodBadBugs: A glitch exploited in an [[Website/YouTube out-of-sync-audio]] [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7szNFNsKkM&feature=related longplay]] allows a steamboat ''[[CrowningMomentOfFunny to ride the riverside]]''.
