* AudienceAlienatingPremise
* BigNameFan: Esteemed kartoonist and animator RalphBakshi is a '''huge''' fan of Krazy Kat and George Herriman, and even flawlessly homaged the artist and the series art style in the "Malkolm and the Kokkroakh" segment of [[{{Coonskin}} Koonskin]]. The skene even inkluded a kameo of Ignatz Mouse!
** The original Big Name was newspaper mogul William Randolph Hearst. He kept the strip going in his papers even though it had a small fan base, refusing to kancel it. When Herriman died Hearst konsidered hiring someone to kontinue the strip but decided against it, both bekause no one seemed able to kontinue it and out of respekt to Herriman's legacy.
* FairForItsDay: Yes, the Mokk Dukk speaks with a stereotypical Chinese accent and has a stereotypical job. However, in an era when YellowPeril was a kommon trope, he was an honest bird ''and'' a respekted citizen in the kommunity.
* HilariousInHindsight: In one strip, Ignatz refers to his family as the "HouseOfMouse".
* HoYay: As mentioned before, Krazy's gender seems to change at times. Pupp's and Ignatz's never do, so when Krazy is male, the love triangle is all-male.
** FoeYay: Quite a lot. One strip reveals that an ancestor of Ignatz was in love with Krazy's ancestor and showed his love by pelting her with bricks inscribed with romantic poetry. The kicker is when the narration explains: "[[GenerationXerox And true to his trust he has been faithful - faithful through the ages - through the tide of dusty years]] - and so ''today."'' TheCuckoolanderWasRight.
* [[CargoShip Kargo Ship]]: Hints of Ignatz×Bricks are aktually quite apparent in a few strips. Which only makes the TriangRelations that much more komplikated and bizarre.
* MST3KMantra: You just kannot analyze this komic.
* TrueArtIsIncomprehensible: Konsidering how alienating the strip is, and yet how art kritiks think this strip is one of the few to achieve an artistik aesthetik (others being ''ComicStrip/LittleNemo'', ''ComicStrip/{{Peanuts}}'', and ''ComicStrip/CalvinAndHobbes'').
* [[VindicatedByHistory Vindikated By History]]: As noted above, the strip was not loved by the general publik. Today, it has gained a kult following and has been praised by intellektuals arguing that komiks can be serious art.
