%%* {{Anvilicious}}: "It's all about loving your parents."
%%* SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome: There's something about ''Bole Chudiyan''. It's the moment where Rahul turns to the camera with an enormous smile on his face and starts singing. It's his first real smile since the {{Intermission}}.
* FanNickname: "K. Jo" for director Karan Johar.
* {{Narm}}: Most of fandom dislikes the scene with British schoolchildren singing the Indian national anthem. It's meant to be meaningful because it ''is'' unusual; many fans simply find it a bit over-the-top.
* TheScrappy: Pooja, though she's made [[RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap a comeback]] in certain sectors of fandom.
* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: A very minor example in the plot revolving around Rohan and Pooja as kids—when Rohan is required to accompany his brother to their neighbourhood, she and her friends harass and tease him, despite just meeting him and the fact that he is clearly upset and not finding it funny, then chase him when he tries to get away; later, the only reason they go to his school is to bully him more. While it's undeniable that Rohan takes payback too far, it's hard to not see where he was coming from; even though they may have meant it in jest, he was clearly not enjoying the joke and they should have left him alone the first time he made it clear he didn't like it. Because of the the tone of the film, it ends well, and it's right he apologised, but for someone who was picked on themselves as a child, it can leave one feeling like Pooja should also have apologised.
* TearJerker:
** Yash disowning Rahul, topped off with the latter sharing a tearful goodbye with his mother Nandini.
** Anjali hysterically breaking down at her father's funeral is just heartbreaking. Also, Rahul had just promised his father that he would not marry Anjali after his disapproval towards their relationship and was just about to tell her this, until he found her at the funeral. It's also a bit heartwarming when he decides to marry her anyway, despite that this invokes the above scene.
** Rahul's goodbye with Rohan before leaving for London.
** Rohan finding out about Rahul's adoption at the beginning of the film (after returning home from ten years of boarding school) and learning the reason behind the latter's depature during the first half of the film.
** This exchange of dialogue between Yash and Nandini, after Rohan departs for London.
---> '''Nandini:''' Your heart aches when your dear ones go far distances, doesn't it?
---> '''Yash:''' And when dear ones create distances in between, it aches even more.
** Sayeeda, Anjali, and later Rahul finding out Rohan's true identity.
** Rahul reuniting with Nandini in London is both this and Heartwarming. The same goes for Yash and Rahul's reconciliation at the end of the film.
** The death of Yash's mother (Rahul and Rohan's paternal grandmother) near the end of the film, where it's revealed that her last wish was to have Rahul at her funeral. [[spoiler:He does end up coming, even though this takes place before his reconciliation with Yash]].
** Nandini's confrontation to Yash about his disownment towards Rahul.
---> '''Nandini:''' Do you know mother always says that a husband is God? No matter what he says... no matter what he thinks, he is always right. You brought Rahul home one day... right. We gave him lots of love... right. He became a part of our family. He became my life... right... absolutely right! Then... one day he left home and went away. Wrong... ''(crying)'' You let him leave... wrong. You separated a mother from her child... wrong. Our family shattered to pieces... wrong. Then how does a husband become God? God can't do any wrong, can he? My husband is just a husband... just a husband... not God! Not God... ''(gets up to leave)''
---> '''Yash:''' Nandini--
---> '''Nandini:''' ''(suddenly snapping)'' [[IronicEcho I said it... didn't I? That's it!]]
%%* TheWoobie: Rahul, Rohan, and Anjali.
