* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments: More than a few, particularly when an addict decides to get clean and succeeds at it.
* MemeticMutation:
** The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ee925OTFBCA Best Cry Ever]][[note]]A clip of the American boxer [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rocky_Lockridge Rocky Lockridge]], after having drug problems in his later years, being intervened by his family. The catalyst for this meme was his son Lamar declaring he deeply loves him, and Mr. Lockridge after hearing it, cries loudly and his family hugging him.[[/note]]
** A smaller one has to be one about a meth addict called Aaron, which then later on followed with a black screen with white text stating, "''After injecting meth, Aaron masturbates for 10 to 12 hours''".
** It's like I'm walking on sunshine! [[note]]A particularly imfamous soundbite from Allison, an inhalant addict.[[/note]]
*** I wish I had a father.
** Cristy, a meth addict, has her ''entire episode''. Particularly her terrible eyebrows and her spitting out noodles and getting into a fight with her sister, all while naked. There's a reason she's the most infamous addict on the show.
*** "I'm gonna drink, I'm gonna do drugs, I'm gonna do whatever the fuck I want, because you know what? That's what the government's doing." [[note]] One of her many sage quotes.[[/note]]
* {{Narm}}: Admit it, you've laughed as people huff inhalants, make up their own math while on meth, or try to convince us that flowers are emitting harmful electrical energy.
** And some of the interventions fall into this due to how over-the-top it can get (even if it's legitimate).
* NightmareFuel:
** In "Audrey" (S2, episode 5), the face Audrey makes getting high from heroin is very unsettling, with her eyes rolling back into her head as she stares into the bathroom mirror. And the bathroom mirror is aimed toward the audience.
** The opening of the Kaeleen episode (S15, episode 1). There was no announcer like other cases, it has a trigger warning because of discussion of sexual assault and then the next line has her admit on camera [[WhamLine "I was just raped yesterday".]] Damn.
** In episode 14 of season 24, singer-songsriter and alcoholic Bryceton and his family members narrate how erratic and scary he can become when he doesn't have alcohol or drugs. If Bryceton doesn't have alcohol and spice (marijuana cut with chemicals), he'll become irritable and nothing anyone will say to him will make sense because he is too wound up trying to figure where he is going to get his next fix from.
-->'''Bryceton's mother:''' "And you never know what's going to set him off."
-->''(SmashCut to Bryceton screaming and cursing and waving his hands at the camera angrily [[TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou all from a first person view]])''
-->'''Bryceton:''' "YOU TELL ME THIS AIN'T SOME TWISTED [BLEEP] POLITICAL [BLEEP]! [BLEEP] EVERYBODY! [BLEEP] EVERYBODY! [BLEEP] YOU! [BLEEP] YOU! [BLEEP]!"
* TearJerker: Particularly when the addicts either refuse treatment or are unsuccessful.
** Can even occur when successful. One episode featured a severe alcoholic who eventually went to treatment and got sober. However, the years of drinking had already destroyed his liver and he died three months after treatment. The episode ends with his teenage son praising his father for not dying as an alcoholic [[DyingAsYourself but as a dad]].
** The actual interventions are very emotional, often with the participants and the addict crying. One episode of ''Intervention Canada'' had a letter from the addict's child to the addict.
