* HoYay: Since this franchise is fueled by HotBlooded guys and ThePowerOfFriendship, this is bound to come up by the bucketful.
** Murayama's newfound respect for Cobra following his ass-whooping-enforced CharacterDevelopment comes off like a puppy crush. He wants Cobra to pay attention to him and like him, and it's endearing as hell. While the other SWORD leaders respect Cobra, Murayama by the end of the third movie.
** Ever since Kohaku saved Tsukumo in a bike accident, and then sold his own bike to pay for his medical bills, Tsukumo has stuck to him like glue. After he , he vows to never leave Kohaku's side again. And that's exactly what he does.
* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments:
** There are a lot of moments filled with ThePowerOfFriendship particularly moments that involved Cobra, Noboru, Yamato and Murayama.
** In the second movie, when it looks like the White rascals are done for, The SWORD gangs all came to save them.
* LauncherOfAThousandShips: Cobra. Everyone gets a turn.
* Narm:
** In the season one finale, Cobra, Yamato, and Noboru all cry when they reconcile in a FriendshipMoment. It's heartwarming until you realize they're in front of all The SWORD gangs in the middle of a battle with Daruma Ikka.
** The CharlesAtlasSuperpower shown in the series can either be really cool or ridiculous. From Yamato's punches can bend Iron bars, and Todoroki's punches a guy so hard that he backflips in the air. It is also noted that you this is a show about gangs and yakizas instead of some superhero movie.
* NightmareFuel:
** There's a lot of pedophiles and sex trafficking in the film. In the end of sky movie there is also a scene where children are being kidnapped from their own homes.
** Rocky's backstory, imagine being a little boy and seeing your mother and sister being abused daily, and one day when you come back from school, you see them, hanged in the ceiling. No wonder He was so hell bent on protecting women.
** What would happen to Lala and all of those girls who were kidnap by Doubt in the first movie if S.W.O.R.D and the Amamiya's hadn't saved them in time.
* PanderingToTheBase: The only reason this show exists is to show off the various singers, dancers and actors under the EXILE/LDH label and monetize it. It worked.
* TearJerker:
** The amount of TraumaCongaLine most of the cast has. Especially Noboru, Rocky, and the Amamiya brothers.
** When The SWORD is in its , watching the rest of the leaders in having HeroicBSOD is heart-wrenching.
** When Cobra is abducted and Yamato, Noboru and the other SWORD leaders desperately search for him at the same time having flashbacks of the times they are with him. All of them seem lost without him, particularly Murayama who sounds like he is about to cry
-->Murayama: I won't forgive you if you die, you bastard. COBRA!

** At the end of The Worst,After fighting In Sword, going to war with Kuryu, Doubts, and the latest opponents KIDRA. Murayama decides to . Although it was treated as an awesome moment, a lot of fans are heart broken that their most favorite character is out of the picture
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter: Jesse from the End of Sky film. His villainous charisma and acrobatic fighting style makes him a perfectly good candidate for a villain. He can even take on Cobra and proves an even match. You think they used him again in the Final Mission film. Nope. He only got three full scenes. And his match with Cobra was never brought up again.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot:
** The Mighty Warriors don't even do anything in third film except for a single scene where they counted their loot.
** In the S.W.O.R.D vs Mighties conflict, fans were hoping for a Leader vs Leader duel and even play a match maker who is fit to fight whom.. but instead throughout the whole gang war most of the leaders are all focuses on underlings and the closest thing we get is when Cobra squares off against Jesse in the second movie and even then it was a no contest and got cast aside in the Final Mission film.
** After two movies of supporting acts most fans are displeased that even in their final mission, all The S.W.O.R.D leaders are on supporting role and get less action and character development, the only exception is Cobra and even he was just a supporting role.
