%%* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic:
%%** The ''VideoGame/RhythmHeaven'' [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMlkMEcIJ9w episode]].
%%** The ending credits song, "The Massacre" by Music/FantomenK.
%%** "I Love Videogames".
%%* BrokenBase: The "Social Justice Warriors" episode from GDC 2015.
* CrossesTheLineTwice: The moment in the Borderlands 2 episode where Anthony!Ashly tries to commit suicide? Disturbing and unfunny. The moment where Papa Burch comes in and celebrates with a "Fuck Yeah"? Less so.
* EnsembleDarkhorse: Papa Burch is one, he constantly [[AbusiveParents puts down his children]], kills a [[VideoGame/Left4Dead (zombified) man]] for disturbing him while reading, and alters his [[VideoGame/{{Psychonauts}} memory]] to have an excuse to punch Ash. And this is just a small fraction of what makes him so awesome. They even decided to bring him to a [[Webcomic/PennyArcade PAX]] panel due to popular demand. He received a standing ovation upon his introduction.
* FridgeBrilliance:
** The ''VideoGame/TeamFortress2'' episode is presented in interview format, just like the first six "Meet The Team" shorts.
** In the first part of the season 3 finale, "A Death In The Family", [[spoiler: look at what shirt Anthony is wearing. It says "Team Blavis." Then you might realize his mistake before he does.]]
%%* GrowingTheBeard: The finale of Season 1.
* HarsherInHindsight:
** The "World of Warcraft" episode became this due to Anthony Burch's and Ashley Davis's divorce and the controversy behind it.
** The ''Persona 3'' episode, which had Ash [[spoiler: accidentally killing herself imitating the game]]. When you learn about David Fetzer's (Ashly Burch's boyfriend) death by accidental drug overdose (which is debatably considered a form of suicide), watching the video depresses you even more. The episode now warns for suicidal content via annotations.
* HeartwarmingInHindsight:
** Ash holding up the copy of ''VideoGame/HarvestMoon'' in the ''VideoGame/{{BioShock|1}}'' episode (and the subsequent HM episode), if you've read her How Games Saved My Life Tumblr. She opened the blog to exhibit stories of the positive influence of gaming on people's lives, and one of the first posts is her own story. Apparently anxiety problems made it very difficult for her to eat, and ''Harvest Moon'' helped her relax.
** Watching the ''Yoshi's Cookie'' episode has shades of this (with a little bit of HarsherInHindsight thrown in) when Ash's anxiety is taken into account. It puts things into a new perspective considering Ash is essentially acting out being force-fed for the sake of comedy.
* HilariousInHindsight:
** There was an episode where Ash makes a proposal to Nintendo on making a Nintendo Land. Years later, ''VideoGame/NintendoLand'' is released as a crossover game. Of course, their E3 2012 episode lampshades this.
** The ''VideoGame/YoshisCookie'' episode -- a few years later, Ashly got cast as a quirky BigEater in [[Manga/AttackOnTitan Sasha Braus]].
** The ''VideoGame/TeamFortress2'' episode -- Ashly eventually ended up in the series herself, both as co-writer for the ''Expiration Date'' short, and as a voice actress in said short. She plays overworked secretary Miss Pauling.
** The ''VideoGame/SaintsRowTheThird'' episode -- Ashly goes into a coma from the sheer awesome of the game and recovers in time for Papa Burch to bring home ''[[VideoGame/SaintsRowIV Saints Row Fo']]'', which would soon be announced and released in reality. No hitting dinosaurs with dildo lasers in the actual game, sadly. Waitaminute... a game with robot dinosaurs and Ashly Burch? That episode predicted ''VideoGame/HorizonZeroDawn''! Of course there are no dildo lasers involved.
** In ''VideoGame/SaintsRowGatOutOfHell'' Ashly got to provide the voice of Kiki Dewynter ([[TheOtherDarrin replacing the original voice actor]], Megan Hollingshead).
** The ''VideoGame/{{Persona 3}}'' episode becomes this now that Burch is providing the voice of Rei in ''VideoGame/PersonaQShadowOfTheLabyrinth.''
** The ''Adventure Games'' two-parter -- Ashly voices Chloe Price in an adventure game ''VideoGame/LifeIsStrange''.
%%* MemeticBadass: Papa Burch.
* OvershadowedByControversy: Certain controversies relating to Anthony's personal life in late 2014 have become a major NeverLiveItDown moment for various gaming sites and forums, and is speculated to be the main reason for his departure from Gearbox Software.
* TearJerker:
** Ashly's story on the [=HAWPcast=] about her friend's pet wolf Wolfy going missing in ''VideoGame/{{Minecraft}}'', and singing Amazing Grace with him as the sun rose in-game in front of a memorial statue for Wolfy. She goes on to say that her friend's life in-game has been consumed by his lost pet, who claims he can still hear phantom howls coming from inside the mine.
** Ash's episode of the Mental Health Happy Hour podcast, discussing her boyfriend (and ''Must Come Down'' co-star's) death from accidental overdose. The worst part is when she talks about his family checking his internet history, and later informing her that his last Google search was for an engagement ring.
