* EnsembleDarkhorse: Groo first appeared in ComicBook/DestroyerDuck, a charity comic designed to help Creator/SteveGerber pay for legal battles against Creator/MarvelComics. Though there were other stories (including Gerber's own Destroyer Duck), Groo emerged the favorite -- resulting in long-term success.
* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments:
** The end of the Groo: Friends and Foes mini-series, when Kayli finally got reunited with her father, .
** The end of The Death of Groo the Wanderer, where Groo is given a kiss by Sylvia, the tavern wench he had defended earlier in the story. It's twice as heartwarming considering she's the only person in the story who doesn't hate him.
** The final story of the Pacific Comics run. Groo manages to collapse a massive mobile fortress Chakaal had been trying to lead an attack on, and after the battle against the survivors, the soldiers carry her off on their shoulders cheering. Groo is confused that they aren't cheering for him too, but then a group of children start cheering his name, and he walks away with a proud smile.
* ThemeTune: The official Groo Website has given this song as the theme for Groo, can be listen to here.
* Woolseyism: In the Swedish translations, Groo's TrademarkFavoriteFood was changed to mayonnaise, due to Cheese Dip being basically unknown in Sweden at the time.
