* FridgeHorror: One of the Jews had his twin sons taken away. He is hopeful, as he heard [[UsefulNotes/JosefMengele Mengele]] likes twins...[[note]]For those that don't know, Mengele liked twins because it was an identical control group - use one for horrific experiments, and the other is left alone to see what impact said experiments are having.[[/note]]
* SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome: The Whispering Rabbi's speech at the end is widely considered in atheist and antitheist circles to be one of the most eloquent and compelling arguments ever written for the position that [[GodIsEvil the god portrayed in the old testament is an inexcusable psychotic bastard]], and even among those who don't agree with the point, it's still widely considered to be the best scene in the film.
* MoralEventHorizon: Per the whispering Rabbi, God crossed it a long time ago for his actions in the Old Testament. He was just on ''their'' side.
* OneSceneWonder: The final monologue is delivered by a man who never spoke up (the whispering Rabbi) in the rest of the play.
* SignatureScene: The "God is not good" monologue delivered by the Rabbi. It helps that it is the final argument of the trial, and is widely viewed as one of the best arguments for antitheism ''period'' (that even if God exists, he is so psychopathic that we should not worship him).
* TearJerker: Several of the stories of the prisoners are this, but the story of the man forced to choose between his three children who were being taken away from him is possibly one of the worst.
