* AlternateCharacterInterpretation: Fujiwara, bka [[spoiler: "Mitsuru"]].
** Is he a tragic figure we're ultimately [[JerkassWoobie meant to sympathize with]], [[AbusiveParents due to his upbringing]] and [[DeadLittleSister family issues?]] Or, is he simply a self-centered {{jerkass}}, with [[http://www.mangapark.com/manga/vulgar-ghost-daydream/v4/c9/62 little regard for anyone]] but himself and [[PerverseSexualLust his obsession with]] [[spoiler: Misaki]]?
** There's also the matter of whether [[spoiler: his stalking Misaki]] is funny, [[DudeNotFunny or creepy?]] The manga has examples that can be argued either way. For instance, when he and [[spoiler: Kadotake]] bond over a CD that has [[spoiler: [[http://www.mangapark.com/manga/vulgar-ghost-daydream/v4/c11/25 recordings of Misaki using the bathroom]]]], is it funny? Or is it disturbing that a couple of guys would bond over an invasion of a woman's privacy?
* BileFascination: Kadotake's interests in Misaki's career as a dominatrix can be interpreted this way. On one hand, he considers it a dodgy line of work and he's even [[http://www.mangapark.com/manga/vulgar-ghost-daydream/v1/c1/15 snarked about it.]] Yet, he's always eager to [[http://www.mangapark.com/manga/vulgar-ghost-daydream/v1/c2/32 hear about the details]] of the type of S&M play she does with her clients and has a morbid fixation about [[spoiler: [[http://www.mangapark.com/manga/vulgar-ghost-daydream/v1/c2/18 her piss]] and whether they drink it.]]
* ComeForTheXStayForTheY: Many will undoubtedly be drawn in by the cover art and the fanservice, [[BetterThanItSounds but may be intrigued by it's unusual premise]] of a dominatrix who acts as a medium [[ParanormalInvestigation to help spirits of the deceased to move on.]]
* FetishFuelStationAttendant: An [[InUniverseExamplesOnly in-universe example]], given Misaki's a {{dominatrix}}, in addition to all of the reasons covered in the MsFanservice entries on the main page.
* JerkassWoobie: One possible interpretation of Fujiwara's character.
* LesYay: Shizue and her girlfriend [[spoiler: as of chapter 16]], [[BiTheWay Kinako]]:
** In chapter 5, Shizue arranges a photo shoot [[http://www.mangapark.com/manga/vulgar-ghost-daydream/v2/c5/14 for a lesbian magazine]], featuring herself and Misaki doing S&M play. During the shoot, Misaki could tell Shizue was getting off on it, which she confirms afterward, when she tells Misaki the shoot got her excited and that [[PornStash the photos]] should be enough [[IllBeInMyBunk to last her]] [[http://www.mangapark.com/manga/vulgar-ghost-daydream/v2/c5/30 for days.]]
** During the Mahjong game, in chapter 16, Kinako suggests that they play according to [[http://www.mangapark.com/manga/vulgar-ghost-daydream/v7/c0/112 "The True Tile Taker's" rules]], as an excuse to [[http://www.mangapark.com/manga/vulgar-ghost-daydream/v7/c0/118 check out Lisa's goods.]] Lisa eventually has to remove her shirt, revealing the semi-transparent nightie underneath. Both Kinako and Shizue [[http://www.mangapark.com/manga/vulgar-ghost-daydream/v7/c0/117 liked what they saw]]
* MemeticSexGoddess: Misaki's as close as any character's likely to get to being an [[InUniverseExamplesOnly in-universe example]] for every reason listed under MsFanservice on the main page.
** You know she's [[HelloNurse da bomb]] when a magazine company asked her to offer a pair of her panties as the first place prize for one of their contests. While, in the manga, not only is she one of the most frequently requested Doms at the Roppongi S&M Club, but Gorou Oukawa[[note]][[FamedInStory a famous]] and very popular former pro wrestler[[/note]], who's one of their most valued patrons [[SingleTargetSexuality will only see]] ''[[http://www.mangapark.com/manga/ghost-talker-s-daydream/v1/c2/3-6 her!]]''
* MoralEventHorizon: Koga's attempt to rape Ai, in the first episode, was already heinous to begin with. But a flashback eventually reveals he broke into her sister's home and tried to rape her as well, but was interrupted by [[spoiler: Miku, her sister's 2 year old daughter, who was playing with her teddy bear. So he took it from her, causing her to tug on his hand to try to get it back. Koga tried to yank his hand away, but Miku's grip tightened on his fingers, which sent her flying across the room and through the window to her death.]] Which caused Ai's sister to blame herself and take her own life.
** The manga version plays this out differently. As in the anime, [[spoiler: Miku's]] death was unintentional but, instead of dying at the scene, she dies at the hospital, due head trauma and internal hemorrhaging. However, Ai's sister wasn't home at the time that it happened. Instead, she flees the hospital and commits suicide out of grief for her daughter.
* NoDubForYou[=/=]NoExportForYou: To date, DarkhorseComics has translated only the first six volumes of the manga, though all ten have been available in Japan, for years. [[http://boards.darkhorse.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=19337 Fans have asked]] if there are any plans to translate the remaining volumes and release them for purchase, but there's been no response.
* TheWoobie: The [[http://www.mangapark.com/manga/ghost-talker-s-daydream/v1/c2/3-1 emotional turmoil]] Ai goes through while trying cope with the deaths of her [[spoiler: 2 year old niece]] and her older sister, is bad enough. Then Koga makes it worse by attempting to rape her, when he finds her alone at her sister's abandoned apartment. Her only solice is "Po", the stuffed bear she'd [[spoiler: [[http://www.mangapark.com/manga/ghost-talker-s-daydream/v1/c2/3-10 given her niece as a present.]]]]
** Even after the truth surrounding their deaths is resolved, she adopts "Po Po" as a coping mechanism. And just when you think life couldn't screw her over, any more that it already had, [[http://www.mangapark.com/manga/ghost-talker-s-daydream/v2/c5/3-15 she gets attacked by a vengeful spirit]] that had possessed a stranger she was trying to help. It's no wonder she brought out [[ReluctantHero Misaki's]] [[BigBrotherInstinct 'big sister']] [[http://www.mangapark.com/manga/ghost-talker-s-daydream/v2/c5/3-3 instinct.]]
