* AccidentalInnuendo: Say, you are watching this show as a teenager or a person in their late-teens, and some questions are indeed, indeed accidentally implicating other stuff. Especially in the 2012 revival. Something not that uncommon from the humor used in current Nickelodeon shows (Series/ICarly, Series/Victorious) compared to some of UsefulNotes/TheNineties shows some guest panelists were from (for example, Series/NickelodeonGuts, Series/NickArcade, Series/TheMysteryFilesOfShelbyWoo, etc.)
-->James Maslow: Did you train a goat to milk itself?
* HarsherInHindsight: All mentions of Creator/AmandaBynes being crazy, especially given how her career had been going on in 2012-2013.
* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments:
** Pretty notorious in the second season of the revival series, where some disabled children are selected randomly for contestants in the SSA section of the show, and the panelists--whether the SSA was so silly or not--play along for them to get a prize.
** This is something that just resurfaced (as of late 2013), but Danny Tamberelli has mentioned in some podcasts that he played 'chill' and for fun as a panelist, because he was doing his thing for the kids. That is, too, he had some fans in the way of the show. It's cool and completely heartwarming watching his reactions when some of the contestants do some imitations of him and he's surprised and flattered by them.
** Anytime a pet was involved in the talent or skill. The manner where Lori Beth and/or Amanda wanted to interact with them is certainly cute.
** In a Family Style episode, where the second contestant's talent is "Flatten Fruit on Grandparents' Vineyard", the Secret Slime Action was "wearing a wedding cake", specifically because Creator/MichelleTrachtenberg was wearing a wedding cake on her head. After the sliming, Lori Beth comes over and wipes the slime off the younger girl's face.
** In a Family Style episode, where the second contestant's talent is "Youngest Professional Hockey Game Announcer and Fan", Danny starts off by good-naturedly asking the contestant "Are you the 1992 Barcelona Swimming-- oh, no, wait, sorry," in reference to how the show's host Summer Sanders won four Olympic medals at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Summer is touched by the homage.
* HilariousInHindsight: Danny once mentioning that his fear was singing in front of the stage. This is of course excepting he previously sung in the "Hard Day's Pete" episode of Series/TheAdventuresOfPeteAndPete, and that Summer mentions he is in a band in a later episode. Skip two or three years later, just after leaving Nickelodeon and dedicating time to College, to now (more than a decade later), and he is indeed still in a band, also serving as main vocalist.
* ItsTheSameNowItSucks: For those who always thought the use of the helmets ruined the fun of the Secret Slime Action, the revival series bringing the helmets back was an incredibly dumb decision to make.
* JustHereForGodzilla: Many viewers don't care about the contestants' talents and just want to see their favorite Nickelodeon stars get slimed from performing the Secret Slime Action.
* SugarWiki/MostWonderfulSound:
** The fanfare for a panelist getting a word right. Kendall Schmidt remarked upon this.
** Also the Hint alarm... especially when the Charade Brigade of the first series came to the front to help the panelist to get one of many words.
** For those who enjoy seeing the panelists get slimed, the Secret Slime Action alarm.
** For the contestants, the school bell for time running out at the end of each round. Also, the foghorn for incorrect final guesses.
* QuestionableCasting:
** If you're confused about how Summer Sanders, an Olympic athlete, came to host a kids' game show, don't worry, you're not the only one.
** WesternAnimation/CatDog appeared on the final two taped episodes of Wild Style, in character and rendered in CGI. They were slimed with CGI slime twice: for "Sharing a Seat" and for "Liking Kibble and Catnip".
** Series/CousinSkeeter appeared on a taping session of Family Style and also played the game in character. His designated Secret Slime Action, which had to be done for his final taped game, was "Just Keeping it Real". Unlike [=CatDog=], Skeeter had real slime poured on him, and his puppeteer also got hit.
* RetroactiveRecognition: A five-year-old Music/HunterHayes appeared as a contestant on the original series, his talent being a Cajun singer and accordionist. Made even funnier when Lori Beth says "Hunter, you're dreamy!"
* SpecialEffectFailure: The CGI animation for the two episodes featuring WesternAnimation/CatDog is very primitive.
* TheyChangedItNowItSucks:
** Some fans of the original series have complained that the revival series did away with Billy the Answer Head in favor of the "IT Board."
** Also when Jeff Sutphen was hired to host the revival.
** The games included in the original run to fill time like "Lightning Letters", "Name That Thingy/Critter", "Little Billy" (which would've had to be renamed given the inclusion of "The It Board" instead of "Billy the Answer Head"), "The Drench Bench" and "The Last Laugh" not carrying over into the new version of the show was a bummer.
