* EnsembleDarkhorse: Honey/Candy, and how. She is the most well-known character of the game -- heck, she is the ''only'' well-known character of this game. Aside from her [[MsFanservice sex appeal]], she was extremely popular among cosplayers in Japan, and even received a (DummiedOut) {{Expy}} in ''VideoGame/SonicTheFighters'' which not only grew to be very popular within the ''Sonic'' fandom, but enough to be undummied in an UpdatedRerelease and was also featured in the [[ComicBook/SonicTheHedgehogArchieComics comics]]. Surprisingly (or unsurprisingly of course) though, she wasn't selected to represent the game in ''VideoGame/ProjectXZone''. That honour went to Bahn instead.
* FirstInstallmentWins: The second game's Dreamcast port [[NoExportForYou never made it to the states]], and some fans aren't even aware that a sequel exists. The first game on the other hand received a Saturn port and a digital HD re-release.
* JustHereForGodzilla: A lot of ''Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog'' fans are interested in the series just to see who Honey the Cat is based off of.
