* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=924bRfmiJ20 "Thrasher"]]
* SugarWiki/FunnyMoments: During a studio recording session, the band decided to try autotune. The results are hilariously butchered cover renditions of Music/{{Cher}}'s "Believe" and Music/RebeccaBlack's "Friday", complete with an improvised love song sung by Matt. (Note that this all happens around the 3:56 minute mark.)
* GrowingTheBeard: ''Enter the Grave'' was straight retro thrash, while ''Infected Nations'' was a well-meaning if misguided attempt to modernize their sound by adding progressive and darker elements and throw off the retro tag; by contrast, ''Five Serpents Teeth'' is a far more melodic mature and well-realized attempt at coming into their own. In ''Skull'', the band combined the aspects of the band's earlier albums together.
* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments:
** After the TearJerker that was Mike Alexander's death, Evile and friends of the band set up a charity to help Mike's girlfriend and kids, and to promote it they did two benefit concerts composed of covers of Mike's favorite songs.
** It goes even further with "In Memoriam"; the opening bassline is what Alexander plays during soundcheck, while in the video the band decides to hang up some of Mike's basses in his memory.
* SongAssociation - The appearance of "Thrasher" on ''VideoGame/RockBand'' probably didn't hurt their popularity.

** Evile's detractors tend to note that the band sounds [[FollowTheLeader very similar to]] Music/{{Slayer}}.
** With the release of ''Five Serpent's Teeth'' and the release of their music video for "In Memoriam", they've also earned comparisons to Music/{{Metallica}}. Doesn't help either that they also covered the latter's "Through the Never" on a Kerrang! covers album.
