* {{Anvilicious}}: The second half of the play is nothing more than Athena teaching the Erinyes about mercy and justice and not to follow a vendetta blindly.
* EndingFatigue: Orestes is acquitted at the middle of the play and promptly disappears. The rest of the play deals with the Erinyes whining and Athena trying to convince them to accept it.
* NightmareFuel: The Erinyes’ humming. At least, it seems that it was to the original public.
* ValuesDissonance: Apollo manages to convince Athena that the man is more important than the woman in a marriage ''and'' in producing children. Sure, he uses her as example since she was born of Zeus without a mother, but still…
** There's also Athena expressing her wish that Athens goes on to have no civil wars... and lots more foreign wars, those are perfectly fine and great.
