* BigLippedAlligatorMoment:
** The live-action scenes, including the puppet show at the start of the film and the knight's dance during the ball. The former is still impressive to watch, since the "puppets" are human dancers on an animated stage.
** The prince opens the ball by trying to conquer the Palace of Love. Cupid himself proclaims love can only be conquered by grace. The prince calls Cinderella to him and her presence makes the palace to open up, revealing the treasures of love. ItMakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext.
* HilariousInHindsight:
** The film opens up with stain glass paintings of Cinderella, dressed as a princess, and the prince, prefiguring things to come. This was year's before Disney's ''WesternAnimation/BeautyAndTheBeast'' had a similar beginning.
** Given the Disney version, it's ironic that Cinderella's cat, Ulysses, is the mascot of the film.
** The sticker book suggests Cinderella was meant to be a blonde, but the restoration gives her more of a reddish hue. This is the complete opposite of what happened to her Disney counterpart.
