* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: Is the protagonist in "Summertime Blues" overworked or is he lazy?
* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: Plenty, especially songs in which Eddie lets loose with rip-roaring soloing, quite hardcore for music from TheFifties.
* BrokenBase: A relatively obscure one, and the base has long since been "reassembled." Towards the end of his career, many die-hard greasers and rockers noticed album covers and photographs featured Cochran in increasingly "pop" attire such as sweaters and colored shirts as opposed to jeans and darker clothes. They didn't like it none.
* CoveredUp:
** "Summertime Blues" has been covered by many artists, perhaps most notably Music/TheWho, Music/AlanJackson, and Music/BlueCheer (and by extension, Music/{{Rush|Band}} who covered their specific version).
** The Music/SexPistols (who consider Cochran a major influence on PunkRock) famously covered "C'mon Everybody".
** Music/SidVicious covered "Something Else" on ''Music/SidSings''.
* EpicRiff: "Summertime Blues" and "C'mon Everybody". The rich, full sound of these riffs were the result of copious overdubbing, a novelty at the time.
* HarsherInHindsight: "Three Stars", a tribute to the victims of "The Day the Music Died", and how they died so young. Cochran would himself pass away less than a year after its recording, at the age of 22.
* SignatureSong: "Summertime Blues" and "C'mon Everybody".
* TearJerker: "Three Stars", for Eddie and listeners both.
