----
* AccidentalAesop: Pretending to die is not funny at all, as Eddy and Ed learn the hard way when Double D decides to leave.
* CatharsisFactor:
** The film addresses several complaints fans had about the series. Kevin and Sarah's [[KarmaHoudiniWarranty Karma Houdini Warranties]] expire as Kevin gets slapped by Nazz[[note]]for caring about his bike more than her safety[[/note]] and his bike is destroyed by the Kankers, and Sarah is given a wet willy by the Kankers and forced (along with Jimmy) to pull their battlewagon; Ed does something smart for once; Double D stands up for himself; Eddy and the kids have a HeelRealization and the Eds are [[EarnYourHappyEnding finally accepted by the kids.]]
** For those who don’t like The Kankers, seeing Sarah give them a beatdown, using her wits to do so, is satisfying.
** For learning that [[BigBrotherBully Eddy's Brother]] was a cruel {{Jerkass}} who tormented Eddy for most of his life and lead to him becoming a scamming {{Jerkass}}, watching him get hit with the door of his own trailer is worth a cheer or two.
* CargoShip: Kevin got shipped with his bike a lot thanks to the movie, where it's an ''entire plot point'' that he cares more about it than Nazz, much to her fury.
%%Do NOT add any Complete Monster examples without the Cleanup threads approval first here: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=6vic3f9h1cy5qivsenw8llok
* CrackPairing: [[AllGirlsWantBadBoys Eddy's Brother/Lee]] and [[AngelDevilShipping Eddy's Brother/Edd]], despite the fact that both of them were repulsed by his behavior, took Eddy's side in the finale and are roughly half his age.
%%* DesignatedVillain: Jonny, during TheStinger.
* DracoInLeatherPants: On occasion, Eddy's Brother. A few fanfic writers write him as either [[ObliviouslyEvil unaware of how much he was tormenting his brother]], or a firm believer in MiseryBuildsCharacter.
* EveryoneIsJesusInPurgatory: Adding upon the theory that the cul-de-sac is purgatory, some have joked that Eddy's brother is down in Hell. It didn't help that the Eds, Kids and Kankers went through [[Literature/TheDivineComedy eight different locations]] before arriving at the trailer park. And in the end, the Eds and the kids appear to [[EarnYourHappyEnding finally make it into Heaven]] while the Kankers stay behind in Hell [[LaserGuidedKarma to torture Eddy's Brother...]]
* FanficFuel:
** Just ''what'' exactly was the [[NoodleIncident scam]] that caused the widespread destruction in the cul-de-sac shown at the beginning of the film and how did it go so horrifically wrong? There are some hints to give an idea, but it's made vague enough that it's really up to interpretation. Unsurprisingly, this has led to many theories and fanfics that attempt to piece together the hints and explain what the scam was and what went wrong.
** The Gourd's announces revenge on the cul-de-sac, [[TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot and then the movie ended]].
* {{Fanon}}: While Eddy's brother [[NoNameGiven is never named]], Matthew and Terry are one of the common names for him. The latter based on [[TheDanza his voice actor]] Terry Klassen, and the former based on rumors from the staff.
* SugarWiki/HeReallyCanAct: Practically ''all'' the voice acting performances, particularly from Creator/MattHill (Ed), Creator/SamuelVincent (Edd), and Creator/TonySampson (Eddy) are really at their best here, as their characters are put into even more dramatic situations than ever before, from Ed’s HeroicBSOD when his buddies fight, to Edd trying to write to his parents then breaking down in TearsOfRemorse at the beginning, to Eddy's HeelRealization DespairSpeech at the end.
* IKnewIt: Quite a few fans predicted that not only would Eddy's older brother appear in the movie, but that he would end up being the movie's BigBad (or, since he's revealed to be the reason behind Eddy's bad behavior, making him the GreaterScopeVillain).
* ItWasHisSled: Eddy's brother isn't the godly hero he makes him out to be, but a borderline abusive bully who's turned his brother into a fearful follower. Also, [[spoiler:the Eds [[EarnYourHappyEnding finally get accepted by the kids at the end.]]]]
* JerkassWoobie: Eddy, after Edd briefly ditches him. He does become a full-fledged woobie after his brother beats him up and reveals that his jerkass behavior was all a facade.
* LoveToHate: Eddy's brother has gained quite a fanbase, for [[HateSink someone who's]] [[BigBrotherBully abusive towards his younger brother]].
* MisaimedFandom: Some viewers (with quite the shallow hatred of Eddy) enjoyed Eddy getting beaten by his abusive brother because of the quicksand prank, ignoring that Eddy had already suffered and ''learned'' from that experience. Others at least decided when Eddy's had enough and thought his brother eventually went too far.
* MoralEventHorizon: Eddy's Brother crosses it very quickly when he begins to hurt Eddy for no other reason but his own sadistic pleasure, and then admits freely that he's always done this to him in his whole life.
* OneSceneWonder: Eddy's brother only appears in the last five minutes of the movie, yet leaves a huge impression.
* RealismInducedHorror: Eddy's brother is one of the best-remembered parts of the movie because his villainy is disturbing and down-to-earth at the same time. When you look past the cartoon violence he dishes out, he's just a callous adult with no great ambitions who beats the crap out of his younger brother and other kids just because he can, and the movie doesn't shy away from showing what kind of effect that has on someone who had to deal with him day in and day out.
* RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap:
** The Kankers, as they try to help the Eds and are noticeably disgusted and terrified when Eddy and Edd get beaten by [[ItWasHisSled you-know-who]]. Contrast this with ''everything else related to them.''
** Sarah and Kevin, as they [[KarmaHoudiniWarranty get some comeuppance for their behavior in the series]] and finally accept the Eds. Kevin in particular is one of the first kids to stand up to Eddy's brother, and later even offers the Eds some of his jawbreakers.
* RonTheDeathEater: Some fanfic writers tend to exaggerate Eddy's brother evilness and the threat he poses to the kids, forgetting that, by the show's standards, [[GlassCannon he was KO'd with no effort]].
* SignatureScene:
** The eerily silent opening credits, made even more effective with no TitleThemeTune and shots of the aftermath of the Eds' scam gone horribly wrong.
** The Eds' car chase from the cul-de-sac while pursued by the EXTREMELY pissed-off Kids[[note]]minus Sarah and Jimmy[[/note]] looking for blood.
** The quicksand prank, resulting in Edd and Eddy's fight.
** The Eds traveling down an empty road at night, illuminated by Edd's jar of fireflies. The imagery was memorable enough to inspire some fan art.
** Eddy's brutal beatdown at the hands of his brother.
** The Eds finally being accepted by the Kids.
* {{Squick}}: Rolf milking a cow and then drinking the milk...without filtering the milk.
* TheWoobie:
** '''Eddy.''' After learning that his brother is an abusive jerkass who frequently beat the living daylights out of him, prompting him to create a {{Jerkass}} facade as a desperate attempt to make friends - then recounting various episodes where Eddy is punished and humiliated... who knows what would have become of him were it not for Ed and Double D's companionship?
** Edd, after the quicksand prank. Especially with his reaction when he believes both his friends are dead, he seems truly broken. He even said he was thinking he had lost "the only two people I have left in this world".
** Jonny. The ending of the movie was happy and heartwarming for everyone...except for Jonny, who is beaten up by the kids, left without friends, and even turns evil. All because of a misunderstanding.
