* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation:
** Jesse cheated on Wanda with Christie Boner during the night that he got completely wasted. The signs seem pretty obvious that Christie had the hots for Jesse. So much so that the next day after the forgotten night, she was perfectly comfortable with giving him a nice kiss on the lips, and leading his hand to grope her breast. Both of which was Christie possibly hoping that such actions would jog Jesse's memory of their "[[SexualEuphemism night]]" together.
** How interested was Christie Boner in Jesse? Did she actually develop feelings for him because of SingleWomanSeeksGoodMan? Was she a bit of a GoldDigger believing that Jesse was rich after he gave her 500$ to see her breasts? Or was she just using him as an excuse to try to get away from her seemingly abusive boyfriend, Tommy?
* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: A great set of pop punk songs of the 90s.
* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: The jacuzzi scene and following HoYay scene afterwards.
* BestKnownForTheFanservice: Outside of being a FountainOfMemes, there are a lot of fans who watch it to see Jodi Ann Paterson as a giantess stomping around in a purple bra and miniskirt with lots of panty shots.
* ClicheStorm: This film is simply a quintessence of youth comedies from the 90s. However, this only makes it even more beautiful.
* CriticalDissonance: Critics often didn't get it, but it was well received by the general public and continues to be so years after its release.
* CultClassic: Thanks to its light humor and late 90s/early 2000s nostalgia, it's a go-to movie selection for parties and hang-outs.
* FairForItsDay:
** Tania the transgender stripper. On the one hand she's on the receiving end of an over-the-top UnsettlingGenderReveal and some jokes are made about her deep voice and her strength. On the other hand she's not treated as disparagingly as a lot of the other cast, and is one of the few characters to get a happy ending [[spoiler: running away with the stolen money and her boyfriend, who is a transgender man]], which for a StonerFlick made in 2000 is pretty damn good.
** While some more prudish viewers might take issue with the fact that most of the female cast is heavily sexualized, they can at least take solace in the fact that one of the women [[spoiler:devours a guy who was sexualizing her.]]
* HoYay:
** The scene where the two main characters actually ''make out'' solely to "beat" another driver in some sort of "bad ass" competition during a red light. No to mention when Chester said " I know your body." to Jesse.
* ItsNotSupposedToWinOscars: Fans will not argue with detractors who say that this is a [[LowestCommonDenominator stupid,]] ''[[LowestCommonDenominator stupid]]'' [[LowestCommonDenominator movie]], but also admit that it was never supposed to be anything but a silly, aimless romp for no greater purpose than cheap laughs.
* MemeticMutation:
** "Dude, where's my car?" "Where's your car, dude?" or "Dude, Where's My ______."
** ZOLTAN!
*** Became HilariousInHindsight after ''Anime/MobileSuitGundamNarrative''.
** "And then?"
** "Dude!" "Sweet!" and the ensuing OverlyLongGag.
** "I wanna ride on that ride!" "[[AllMenArePerverts Me too.]]"
** Tommy asking the alien giantess "Do you spit or swallow?"
* NightmareFuel: While the Super Hot giant Alien is mostly PlayedForLaughs and titillation, things take a turn when she proves to be a LiteralManeater and [[SwallowedWhole devours Tommy]] right in front of his muscle head friends.
* RetroactiveRecognition: Jesse's girlfriend is a young Creator/JenniferGarner when she was an unknown during her early film years. She became a lot more recognized world-wide a year later once ''Series/{{Alias}}'' got rolling.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: Where Jesse and Chester's car eventually ended up after it was stolen from the French ostrich owner is left a complete mystery.
* WatchItForTheMeme: The movie is such a FountainOfMemes (just look above for a few examples) that it some people watch it just to see where they all came from.
