* CreativeSterility: Oda eventually seems to reach the reasoning that the Drifters are bringers of new technology, and new knowledge, and seems surprised that people in that world overlooks the potential of their inventions.
** It's not just the people of that world either. Some of the Drifters who have been around for a long time like Abe no Seimei don't realize the potential of what they create and use in that world, which is also mentioned by Oda.
* CrossoverShip: It's not exactly uncommon to see Hijikata with Sakura Saber, due to her being Okita.
* DesignatedHero: Ohhhhhhhhh, yeah. If not for the fact that the enemies they fight are even worse, Shimazu, Oda, and Nasu would definitely be the bad guys. .
* EarWorm: The opening for the Anime, "Gospel of the Throttle REMIX Ver." is very catchy, especially the chorus. "Na na nana na na, na na nana na."
* FanficFuel: Any fic that has a public domain/historical figure fighting alongside the Drifters or the Ends.
* HilariousInHindsight:
** In the 2012 anime adaption of Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure, Creator/TomokazuSugita plays Joseph Joestar, who at one point dresses in drag to try and sneak past a group of Nazis. Then Drifters comes along and he plays Count Saint-Germain, who not only is a cross-dresser, but works for an oppressive country that was literally made by Adolf Hitler.
** The anime adaptation of Drifters aired during the Fall 2016 season... right alongside Brave Witches, meaning we got an anime featuring a DistaffCounterpart of Kanno Naoshi two days before an anime featuring the actual Kanno Naoshi.
* MagnificentBastard: Oda. Oda. Oda.
* SelfFanservice: Oh boy, does it ever hit this trope harder than Nasu. It's fairly obvious that his design is a bit effeminate, and his voice in both versions of the anime doesn't help matters, but when people tend to draw him, they give him luscious lips, wide hips, and an overall more feminine design than he ever really looked like.
* Squick: "The arrowheads are full of shit!"
* ViewerGenderConfusion: Many viewers mistook Yoichi for a girl when they first watched the anime, due to his slender build, hairstyle and feminine face. His voice in the original sub doesn't help matters.
* Woolseyism: In the original audio, Yoichi is voiced by Creator/MitsukiSaiga, a woman, and has a clearly feminine voice, leading Toyohisa to initially assume that he's either a woman or Nobunaga's attendant, Mori Ranmaru. In English, he's voiced by Justin Briner, who, while not having a deep voice, still has a masculine enough tone not to be confused for a woman. As such, the dialogue in the aforementioned scene instead alludes to how Toyohisa would think that Nobunaga would prefer having Ranmaru considering their relationship, to which Nobunaga says, "Would have made these cold nights a lot warmer," alluding to the rumors of their potentially intimate relationship.
