!!The Web video series
* SugarWiki/AwesomeMoments: Fred finally releasing his video on ''VideoGame/EVEOnline'' after two years of work in November of 2023. ''It is nearly 6 hours long''.
* BrokenBase:
** The ''[=GameLife=]'' episode with [[WebVideo/GuruLarryAndWez Guru Larry]] as a guest commentator. Some people enjoyed Larry's company while other felt he doesn't mesh well with Fredrik's style. Fredrik himself regrets the episode and said he'd refrain from doing such crossovers in the future.
** His content in general has become somewhat of this, with those preferring the ones focusing on "lolcows" and other internet-related topics (e.g., Christine Weston Chandler, [=TempleOS=], Noah Antwiler, etc.) while others preferring the episodes on historical topics (e.g., Henry Darger, Austrian Wine Poisoning, Battle of May Island etc.). There are of course though [[TakeAThirdOption many who enjoy both of kinds of videos]].
* EstrogenBrigade: Fredrik's boyish good looks, aura of studied, intelligent professionalism, and impressively deep voice have gained him quite a few female admirers in the [=YouTube=] comment sections.
* FriendlyFandoms:
** There's been a decent overlap between Knudsen's fans and [[WebVideo/{{Critikal}} Charlie's]] fans thanks to him having reacted to some of the ''Down The Rabbit Hole'' videos in some of his streams. With Knudsen even joining in Critikal's "The Official Podcast" as a guest.
** Between him and fellow documentary [=YouTuber=] WebVideo/AtrocityGuide, especially since it's come out that the two of them look up to one another.
* HarsherInHindsight:
** The episode on Creator/NoahAntwiler, can be considered this for the entirety of Website/ChannelAwesome, with the aforementioned video being posted only a few ''days'' before the "Not So Awesome" document surfaced:
*** The discussion of Noah getting suspended from Channel Awesome for making a somewhat rapey bondage joke on Twitter comes off as darkly ironic in retrospect, considering the site's higher-ups would be accused of covering up allegations that Mike Ellis and Justin "[[WebVideo/YouCanPlayThis JewWario]]" Carmichael did far worse.
*** Fredrik's summation of Spoony as a cautionary tale has only rang more true in the time since the video went up, as Noah's life has continued to go down the toilet following his website going down, getting into a car crash (which [[NeverMyFault he refused to take responsibility for]] even after video evidence showed it was his fault), his girlfriend April leaving him, his house being set for foreclosure, and his dog, Oreo, passing away.
** Within the video itself, the ''[=WingsOfRedemption=]'' clip where he says he's determined to keep up his weight loss goals because he doesn't want to let everybody down and stating that he doesn't want to be obese on his birthday anymore, as well as the later clips of him preparing for the camping trip, while inspiring at the time, became depressing in retrospect because, [[ForegoneConclusion sure enough]], he didn't keep up his weight loss regime and bailed on the camping trip at the last second, [[SelfFulfillingProphecy letting everybody down]] and permanently losing the respect of his friends and fans.
** The video on ''VideoGame/StarCitizen'', released in 2016, ends on an optimistic note about the game's progress and the hopes of its fan community. Unfortunately, as of 2023, the game has continued to languish in DevelopmentHell, with many of its former supporters losing hope and accusing the developers of mismanagement and overspending, as documented [[https://www.forbes.com/sites/mattperez/2019/05/01/exclusive-the-saga-of-star-citizen-a-video-game-that-raised-300-millionbut-may-never-be-ready-to-play/ in this Forbes article]].
* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments: ''The Battle of May Island'' ends with a dedication to every casualty of the incident, by name. Which isn't much, but it's far more than they got from even their own government.
* HilariousInHindsight:
** In the ''Mother Horse Eyes'' video, one of the images shown in the video depicts a link to Wikipedia's article on Time Cube. Fredrik would cover that topic in one of his later episodes.
** Some could find the Creator/NoahAntwiler video ending on Noah's Twitter getting suspended a little amusing when the account was reactivated less than a month later.
** In the ''VideoGame/StarCitizen'' video, Fredrik reports on how the poor launch reception of [[DuelingGames the competing]] ''VideoGame/NoMansSky'' caused disgruntled players to pin their hopes on ''Star Citizen''. In the years since, ''No Man's Sky'' has been widely praised for GrowingTheBeard in its post-launch DLC and updates while ''Star Citizen'' is now unfavorably compared to ''No Man's Sky'' for its protracted development with little progress.
* MemeticMutation:
** After mispronouncing the words "Passing" and "Gunshy" as "Passion" and "Gun-she" during his first Channel Awesome Livestream, his fans latched on to the idea of an anime titled "Passion Gunshee."
** Dozens upon dozens of commentators in the videos where he showed his face have compared Fredrik to [[VideoGame/ResidentEvil4 Leon Kennedy.]]
** Because of the [[TheComicallySerious dead-serious]] tone Knudsen pronounces it in, Purr Cat Cafe's "Meow, Meow, PURR" VerbalTic has become a bit of a meme. "We have no cats, Kathleen" was quickly adopted as well, having become one during the time the Facebook spats were going down and gaining steam once more.
* MisaimedFandom: Some people interpreted ''Creator/NoahAntwiler (Spoony)'' as being essentially a critique on Noah's character in the same way ''[=DarksydePhil=]'' was. As Knudsen made clear in a subsequent livestream, he in no way thought that, and instead presented Noah more as a tragic victim of his own mental illnesses.
* PopularWithFurries: A good portion of Fred's fans are furries, especially on his Patreon Discord. His video on "Furries", which is very respectful compared to most other media towards the community, has certainly helped matters. He even [[https://twitter.com/FredInTheKnud/status/1158805760895115264 won an award from a furry community event]] for said video.
* RetroactiveRecognition: Viewers of the ''[=WingsOfRedemption=]'' episode were surprised to find that the early careers of both Keemstar and [=ProSyndicate=] were intertwined with that of Jordie's. Keemstar's appearance especially led to a lot of jokes about how it was like seeing a supervillain before their origin story.
* {{Squick}}: The first episode of his podcast, The Warrens, is about him and his co-host reading a cookbook about making alcoholic cocktails with semen. It's just as disturbing and [[CrossesTheLineTwice hilarious]] as it sounds.
