* FanPreferredCouple: [[AdventureDuo Donald Duck and Kay K]]. Some would argue Kay is a better trade-in than Daisy.
* HilariousInHindsight: In the 2005 story "Bugged Duck", Donald pretends to be a spy to mess with Huey, Dewey, and Louie, and gets in trouble when a real secret agency believe he's a terrorist. And the story was included with the last Double Duck story published by [[Creator/KaboomComics Boom! Kids]].
* OlderThanTheyThink: Donald is part of a mysterious intelligence agency fighting dangerous criminals working for unspecified hostile foreign powers, and his partner is a mysterious and more experienced female spy. Are we talking about ''Double Duck''? No: this is the plot of "Moldfinger or The Spy Who Ducked-Out On Me", the first of the PIA (Private Intelligence Agency) stories, AffectionateParodies of Franchise/JamesBond (at first) where Donald works to protect Scrooge's economic empire from various threats and is partnered with Daisy (yes, she's a more experienced spy than Donald). While the stories eventually became {{Flanderized}} and Daisy's appearances became more sporadic, the stories still exist and are even referenced in the PKNA crossover.
* WhatDoYouMeanItsForKids: As usual for Italian comics due ValuesDissonance. For example (as typical of Italian Disney stories), you get realistic guns everywhere... Including in Donald's hands. And this time it's not a shotgun with salt shells...
