!!Comic Books:
* AdaptationDisplacement: Darna may be a famous superhero in the Philippines, but her actual comics are not so famous anymore. Nowadays she's better known from the many adaptations of her in movies and TV than from the original comics. The decline and death of the original Filipino comic book industry that produced her may have had something to do with it.
* CommonKnowledge: A CatchPhrase associated with the character is "Ding, ang bato!" ("Ding, the stone!") In spite of what it implies, Ding is not the usual keeper or bearer of the stone, Narda is. It just so happened that in one of the movies Narda called out to Ding to throw the stone to her, as she had lost it for RuleOfDrama and it happened to be near him.
* FoeYayShipping: The biggest ship in the fandom is the titular Darna and her ArchEnemy Valentina, the Queen of Snakes. This started because of the many adaptations in which Valentina has a much larger role than the original comics do (she died in the first story arc) and making her the second most recognizable character after Darna. It reached its highest point when the 2022 TV adaptation premiered and added loads of LesYay between its versions of Darna and Valentina, which led to a boom of brand new shippers.
* NarmCharm: Yes, on the surface Darna may be a blatant ComicBook/WonderWoman rip-off (but also/really a Captain Marvel rip-off based on her powers, transformation and original child to adult dynamic), and Filipinos are certainly not unaware of the American heroes given their colonial history and continuing close ties with America, but all in all they tend to take this in stride.

!!2022 TV Series:
* ActorShipping: The 2022 TV adaptation has a large group of fans shipping the lead actresses Jane De Leon (who plays Narda/Darna) and Janella Salvador (who plays Regina/Valentina). This is mainly due to their on-screen chemistry and real life friendship. This isn't helped by their chumminess in interviews and behind-the-scenes stuff. They even have their own PortmanteauCoupleName, "[=JaneNella=]".
* DieForOurShip: Brian from the 2022 version gets a lot of hate from Narda/Regina shippers, often simply for being the love interest of both. It's fairly common to see shippers bash him for any little thing on sites like Twitter. He is often accused of only being copaganda and kill crazy when it comes to Extras. It doesn't help that many feel that he often pushes his way into Narda's life when not needed and steals focus from the actual main character. He is also often accused of being controlling towards Narda and gets hate for flirting with her alter ego Darna, despite that being a common trope in superhero media.
* EnsembleDarkHorse: For a supporting character who hasn't even had his backstory revealed much at all, Ali is surprisingly popular. He's even earned a popular FanNickname, "Ali Best Boy". Many fans latched onto him being one of the few characters who puts Regina's well being first and formost, along with being the one of the few recurring male characters who has a purpose beyond being a love interest (though he does have feelings for Regina, it's not often focused on). It helps that his actor Mac Manicad has considerable natural charisma despite not being as well known as his co-stars.
* FanNickname: Due to being a fan favorite, Ali is often referred to as "Ali Best Boy" by fans.
* FanPreferredCouple: Narda is canonically paired with Brian, but in the fandom it is more popular to pair her with Regina. This is mainly because of Narda and Regina's quick friendship, many feeling they have better chemistry then Narda and Brian, and the two being destined enemies.
* LesYay: The 2022 TV adaptation has plenty of subtext between Narda and Regina (its versions of Darna and Valentina), due how quickly the two grow close and despite competing for the same guy. Some examples include: When Narda gets hired by Regina's practice, she repeatedly asks when she can see Regina and is more excited to see her then her crush Brian. In one episode when Regina accidentally yells at Narda, they both spend the episode devastated. Regina, in particular, spends the night DrowningHerSorrows out of guilt and when she she sees Narda again, instantly runs over to hug her while proclaiming that she can't lose her. When Regina can't find Narda one episode, she spends the entire episode simply waiting by her desk, before acting suspicious towards Noah in a way that seems unintentionally like a jealous girlfriend, and when Narda lies and says her grandmother was sick, Regina makes sure to send her a fruit basket. When their love interest Brian is hurt one episode, the two spend a prolonged time comforting each other. The subtext is probably not so unintentional, considering that two of the directors (Avel Sunpongco and Benedict Mique) picked up on de Leon and Salvador's strong chemistry. According to de Leon and Salvador, Sunpongco and Benedict have joked that maybe Narda and Regina should end up with each other instead thanks to their actresses' chemistry. The crew and cast are aware of Darlentina's popularity as well, so it's likely that the way they're leaning into the LesYay in newer episodes is in a conscious choice.
* PreemptiveShipping: Before the 2022 version aired a lot of fans started to ship Regina and Brian and thought that they would become the dominant pairing in the fandom, mainly because their actors Janella Salvador and Joshua Garcia had already played characters who were part of a popular ship on another show Series/TheKillerBride. However, once the show got underway many quickly abandoned the ship, due to Brian becoming controversial within the fandom and many feeling that Regina had more chemistry with Narda, leading to "Darlentina" (Regina/Narda) becoming the most popular ship in the fandom.
* PortmanteauCoupleName: The 2022 TV adaptation led to a boom of shippers between the Narda, aka Darna, and Regina, aka Valentina, characters. These shippers dubbed them "Darlentina" or, the often less used, "Reginarda"/"Nargina".
* RomanticPlotTumor: One of the most criticized aspects of the 2022 version is how much time is dedicated to the Narda/Brian/Regina love triangle. It doesn't help that so much time is spent on it at the expense of the actual superhero action and how many fans feel Jane De Leon and Joshua Garcia don't have much chemistry despite how many people InUniverse declare that Narda and Brian are perfect for each other. The Regina and Brian part (despite many feeling that Garcia and Janella Salvador have better chemistry) is also often seen as unnecessary and only there to cause tension between Narda and Regina (who are destined to become arch enemies) when their differing opinions on justice are already fulfilling that role. It doesn't help that many feel that the love triangle takes attention away from more interesting dynamics, such as Regina and Narda or Regina and Ali.
