* GeniusBonus: Death rays of various types have been claimed by inventors since World War I, but of special note is Teleforce, a [[InsistentTerminology Death Beam]] that Nikola Tesla claimed to have invented, which he also insisted was to be used as a defensive weapon only. This could help explain the "peaceful purposes" claim in the movie.
* HilariousInHindsight: This isn't the only time someone's [[Series/ThatMitchellAndWebbLook built a death ray "for peaceful purposes"]].
* {{Narm}}:
** The emergency alarm sounds like a high pitched pogo stick.
** The final shot of a hand tossing Bart's watch to the water. This isn't in all cuts of the film, but it's in the version used in ''[=MST3K=]''.
* {{Padding}}: So much. Long shots of people walking down hallways, long shots of people ''watching'' people walking down hallways, lots of shots of Fargo reloading and reloading and reloading...
* SoBadItsGood: It's almost worth watching for the soundtrack alone.
* SpecialEffectsFailure: Oh my, yes; the helicopter and submarine scenes, especially, which looks like toys and not models.
** Then there's Scarface's fake beard that makes him look like UsefulNotes/AbrahamLincoln or an Amish man. To be fair, even Bart thinks the PaperThinDisguise is ridiculous.
** There's another scene where Bart's car drives off a cliff and into the ocean that has model work at least as bad as the submarine and helicopter scene. It's short, but the model work is just ''that bad'' that it's still obvious that it's a toy.
** The last shot shows a production member (the director? PA? Who knows) dropping the watch; the editor was so lazy they didn't even edit it out. There is a good shot of some cheesy TheSixties Italian suit fashion, though.
* ValuesDissonance: While invading the villains' hideout at the end of the movie, the hero punches what appears to be a female henchman in the face, only to quickly pull off "her" wig and reveal that, in Bart Fargo's own words, "he was no lady!" This reveal has nothing to do with the plot and seems to serve no purpose except to show that, no, the hero didn't ''really'' just [[WouldHitAGirl punch out a woman]]. These days, with transphobia being a hot button topic, the reveal may have the opposite effect.
