[[folder: Dangerverse YMMV]]
* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: Which is not helped by the massive amounts of GreyAndGrayMorality which abound.
* EnsembleDarkhorse:
** Dr. Death Defying and Show Pony. Possibly the Little Girl as well.
** In the comics, Red and Blue, the two porno droids, are getting a lot of fame for their tragic story.
* EpilepticTrees: [[http://girlautomatic.tumblr.com This place]] has coverage on what's been going on.
* FanNickname:
** For Korse, "Sir Bald of Evil". Draculoid tends to get shortened to "Drac". Dangercar for the Trans-Am.
** The entire universe seems to have been dubbed the "Dangerverse".
* HarsherInHindsight: In the wake of Music/MyChemicalRomance's break-up, the following lines from ''Goodnite, Dr. Death'' are particularly harsh:
--> You may be gone
--> But out here in the desert
--> Your shadow lives on without you
* HoYay: Many fans interpret the relationship between Dr. Death Defying and Show Pony this way. Also, in the song "Save Yourself, I'll Hold Them Back", the lyrics, "I'm the only friend that makes you cry/ you're a heart attack in black hair dye/ so just save yourself and I'll hold them back tonight," are sung. Considering [[spoiler: Jet Star and the Kobra Kid are already dead at this point]], and considering that the lyrics are being sung by Gerard Way, whose alter-ego is Party Poison, and considering Frank Iero's character Fun Ghoul has dyed-black hair, this is interpreted as ho-yay between Party Poison and Fun Ghoul by [[YaoiFangirl some fans.]]
* SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome: The whole concept, but [[Creator/GrantMorrison Korse's]] way of raising his gun after coming out of the elevator in the "SING" video comes to mind.
* NarmCharm:
** The "Na Na Na" video and "Art is the Weapon" trailer.
** In general, the whole concept. But that's definitely not [[Administrivia/TropesAreTools a bad thing]].
* StopHavingFunGuys: The sentiment of a lot of fans (especially on LJ) in response to the "shenanigans" the band did before the album's release, directed towards both the band and the fans who want to actually participate in the shenanigans.
* WildMassGuessing: The ContinuitySnarl moments between the album and the music videos have caused a lot of speculation amongst fans. The official sequel comic may either make this better or worse, as it's a sequel to the album but treats the events of the videos as canon [[spoiler: including the main Killjoys' deaths in the music video for SING, which contradicts the order of the Killjoys deaths in the album]].

[[folder: The Album and Music Videos]]
* HilariousInHindsight: The fact the album takes place in 2019 makes it more amusing that the band would ''reunite'' in 2019 to go on a 2020 reunion tour.
* TearJerker: "SING", "The Only Hope for Me is You", "The Kids From Yesterday", and "Summertime".
** Specifically whenever they mention loved ones that they had to leave behind.

[[folder: The Comics]]
* BuryYourGays: One of the bigger points of criticism for the comic was that [[spoiler: both Korse's boyfriend AND Blue's girlfriend die. Both couples are the only major gay ones in the narrative.]]
* CastFullOfGay: The only romantic relationships in the comic are gay. Everyone else is apparently celibate to various degrees. Likely deliberate attempts at ValuesResonance given that the theme of the comics is how Battery City is hostile to the very concept of love, to a degree comprable to homophobia in the 2010s when the comic was written.
* ViewerGenderConfusion: Vaya and Vamos, from the Ultra V's. Are they boys? Skinny girls? It doesn't help that they're also very effeminate.
* TearJerker:
** Blue and Red's misfortunes.
** The Girl can't remember [[spoiler: the original Killjoy's faces]].
** Volume's dead. He was relieved because he was [[TiredOfRunning tired of hiding]].
** Cheri Cola and his guilt over [[spoiler: failing to help the Killjoys save the Girl, noting that he, being there, could've probably keep the boys alive to this day.]].
** [[spoiler: Korse's boyfriend getting killed by BLI. Something about seeing the formerly cold-as-ice Exterminator cradling his dead lover in his arms with tears pouring down his face is truly heartbreaking, and drives home that he is not the same man who killed the Killjoys years before.]]
