* DracoInLeatherPants: Blackbird gets this a bit. It helps that most of her villainy was offstage, but even [[spoiler:after she stabbed Meron]], some fans still like to view her and her obsession with Veloce in a positive light.
** LoveToHate: On the other hand, others like her ''because'' she's a [[LackOfEmpathy cold-blooded]] FauxAffablyEvil assassin who has an unhealthy obsession with Veloce.
* EnsembleDarkHorse: Blackbird is quite popular, despite appearing on only a few occasions.
* LesYay: Meron seems to be in love with Veloce. She's spent four years trying to gain the latter's forgiveness, and she has no problem with dying if it means Veloce's life will be easier. Hell, at one point, after Veloce rebuked her, Meron broke down in tears. For Veloce's part, she tends to act like a {{Tsundere}} who's been hurt by Meron in the past and is now trying to decide if she should forgive her or not, but either way still cares for her.
* MemeticBadass: Much like Jean from ''Manga/AttackOnTitan'', the King of ''Kronzel'' has become something of a Memetic ''ButtMonkey'', thanks to his overall uselessness and [[OneHitKO getting his ass kicked by Veloce]]. When he reappeared in Volume 4, the fans couldn't stop mocking him.
* MoralEventHorizon: Blackbird crosses this numerous times [[OffStageVillainy before the story began, what with committing a long string of murders]], but she finally crosses it in the series proper by [[spoiler:trying to kill Meron as she mourned her parents at their grave, and very nearly succeeding]]. Even Veloce was pissed.
* TheScrappy: Keritzel is not exactly popular thanks to his youthful naivete and optimism. Some fans even think that Shilin purposefully made him this way so that he could be broken at some point in the future.
* TheWoobie: Meron (lost her guardian and best friend at a young age, and [[spoiler: loses her parents, then gets stabbed, during the course of the story]]). Also Kathryn: we don't know much about her, but just being a [[spoiler: very young carciphona who will soon be overwhelmed by her demonic taint]] qualifies her for this trope. Even [[spoiler: the woman she's trying to get killed]] pities her.
