!Camelot (''musical'')
* HarsherInHindsight: Used in-story. Guinevere, in the beginning, seems flattered by the idea of her being the subject of a war. Later...
* OneSceneWonder: Nimue, singing "Follow Me."

!Camelot (''series'')
* CrowningMomentOfAwesome: "You are nothing! You will always be nothing but my father's bastard!"
* CreatorsPet: Fucking Igraine.
* DesignatedHero: Arthur is a SpoiledBrat who is introduced to us while he's ''sleeping with his brother's girlfriend.'' He becomes king primarily because he's Uther's son, rather than any merit on his own part. His character develops a little over the episodes but, as seen below, he ended the season pretty much as unpopular as he started.
* DracoInLeatherPants: Morgan is a rare female example of this trope, mainly due to her charisma and that she was played by the gorgeous [[EvenTheGirlsWantHer Eva Green]]. It's no wonder that much of the audience was rooting for her, particularly since she was pitted against a rather gormless version of Arthur. (See TheScrappy entry below).
* EnsembleDarkhorse: Declarations of "Team Morgan!" are not uncommon. Merlin is also popular.
* [[EvilSorcerer Evil Sorceress]]: Morgan.
* FandomRivalry: With ''{{Series/Merlin}}''. Merlin fans couldn't accept new actors as their favorite characters,and Camelot fans said Merlin was aimed at kids and too loose with the legends.
* FanPreferredCouple: In keeping with the lukewarm response to Arthur, some fans were bewildered that Guinevere was so interested in him when she already had [[http://www.teensreadandwrite.com/2011/06/are-you-jace-lover-hater-or-skeptic.html Leontes]].
* HilariousInHindsight: [[ShakespearianActors Joseph Fiennes]] is Merlin while his brother [[ShakespearianActors Ralph]] is [[Film/HarryPotter Voldemort]] - and they're both bald for the role.
* MagnificentBitch: Morgan certainly knows how to swing a crowd. Mother Sybil is also a master manipulator and it's implied that she's even able to influence events from beyond the grave!
* MindGameShip: Merlin and Morgan.
* NightmareFuel: Morgan's dying scene. Man, one doesn't wish such an experience even for a villain.
* RomanticPlotTumour: Arthur/Guinevere and the consequent LoveTriangle with Leontes was generally considered boring and shallow, particularly since Arthur/Guinevere's attraction was based almost solely on lust (occurring on the basis of ''one'' dream, ''two'' short conversations, and sex in a cave on her wedding day to another man).
* HoYay: Arthur and Kay, Arthur and Merlin.
* LesYay: Morgan, Vivien and Sybil.
* FoeYay: Morgan and Merlin. Morgan and Arthur have some too.
* TheScrappy: Four episodes in, and there's already an overwhelming number of viewers who consider Arthur himself to be this. It's early, so only time will tell if he can be RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap.
** As of the end of the first season, he's still not very popular.
*** And since it turned out to be the only season, he never will be.
* TheyChangedItNowItSucks: The reinterpretations of the Arthurian legends, especially regarding the main characters, didn't go over well with some viewers. Of course, the legends themselves have always been subject to [[DependingOnTheWriter some kind of reinterpretation...]] not often with characterization though.
* WhatTheHellCastingAgency: Arthur. Also see above.
