* AwardSnub: Was nominated for "Worst Game of the Decade", but lost to ''VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehog2006''. While the latter game was definitely bad, it was nowhere near as broken as ''Big Rigs'', although it is debatable about whether or not ''Big Rigs'' can [[ObviousBeta actually be considered a "video game"]].
* BileFascination: Arguably the only reason it sold as well as it did.
* EarWorm: The game comes with some [[https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL88EC3D30CB516A34 surprisingly catchy music]] made by an unknown composer...although whether it plays when you run the game seems to depend on luck.
* GoodBadBugs: They're not bugs, they're ''features''! For example, the rigs [[LudicrousSpeed have no maximum speed when driving in reverse]]. Occasionally, the game will declare you WINNER! ''as soon as the race begins''.
* HilariousInHindsight: As AVGN shows, when the game crashes, the error message says "[=CarZ=].exe has stopped working". ''The War Z''[[note]]Now known today as ''Infestation: Survivor Stories''[[/note]] [[InsaneTrollLogic must have been hinted at for years!]]
** [[UpToEleven It was even made by the same person!]] (well, one of them)
* ILikedItBetterWhenItSucked: The patches take away iconic aspects of the game while doing nothing to actually improve it. The [=AI=] cars now move, but don't cross the finish line, and "YOU'RE WINNER" is replaced with "YOU WIN!"
* MemeticBadass: Everyone who plays the game. "YOU'RE WINNER !"
* MemeticLoser: The opponent truck. You ''literally'' [[ForegoneVictory cannot lose to it.]] ''Ever.'' Oh, you installed the patch to make it move? It will still stop short of the finish line. You found a way to make it cross the finish line, you say? The game ''[[NonStandardGameOver crashes]]'' because there is ''[[ObviousBeta no programmed failure state]]'' for the player losing a race. Well, at least [[VideoGame/PunchOut Glass Joe]] ''tries'' to win.
* MemeticMutation: "[[{{Engrish}} You're Winner !]]"
* NoSuchThingAsBadPublicity: Has the lowest ranking ever on both Metacritic and Game Rankings, yet still managed to sell nearly 20,000 copies. Undoubtedly, [[BileFascination most of these sales were exactly because of the "worst game ever" reviews]]. To elaborate on the bad reviews, the only reason the game has a higher than 0% rating is that some sites' lowest rankings appear as non-zeros on Metacritic. The ''lowest possible score'' actually brought the average ''up''. [=GameSpot=] was appalled that ''Big Rigs'' outsold most of the AcclaimedFlop games of their "Best Game No One Played" category.
* SoBadItsGood: So awful it's almost too funny to be in the horrible section. The game pioneered innovative gameplay [[GoodBadBugs features]] such as an opponent who never moved (if you get the patch he moves very slowly but ''never'' crosses the finish line), the ability to randomly go through scenery (or fall through the level), a track that crashed the game when loaded, the ability to accelerate ''backwards'' infinitely, climb the steepest mountains with almost no loss of speed and go ''outside the level's boundary''. As a result, the game's [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:YOU%27RE_WINNER_trophy.jpg ending sequence]] is easily the best part of the game. The [=GameFAQs=] board is a joke board devoted solely to BEING WINNER and declaring this game WINNER[[note]]It's also an AscendedMeme of sorts because the site itself uses the "YOU'RE WINNER" splash image whenever the site is taken down for maintenance[[/note]]! Even ''WebVideo/TheAngryVideoGameNerd'' himself thinks that [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6DtVHqyYts having a game that essentially has no rules like Big Rigs is ridiculously fun]].
