* BaseBreakingCharacter: Eiji. He alters Rin's mind to get her to stay with him forever and [[{{Chickification}} forgives her violent tendencies because of her beauty]].
** Iyo. In episode 8, [[spoiler: she tries to rape Eiji after he is drugged and handcuffed to a bed]], which sure ticked off a lot of viewers who viewed Iyo as the only likable character in the series.
* BrokenBase: Depending on who you ask, anywhere starting between chapter 31-33 and onward, either the series introduced a great plot twist and took the story in an interesting new direction or completely ruined the story with a nonsensical plot twist and the story is now an incomprehensible mess. It doesn't help matters that the scanlation group dropped the translation for the latter reason.
* SoBadItsGood: The anime adaptation has a reputation for this, due to all the cuts, deviations and extremely bizarre additions that have made the story a lot less coherent and logical. People have hailed it as one of the best nonsensical comedies of the Spring2016Anime season.
* WhatDoYouMeanItsForKids: From its S&M undertones to its extreme violence to its depictions of incest and rape, Big Order would make even the most laconic fans sit up and take notice.
** Some fans even went so far as to compare the series to Anime/AngelCop and Manga/ViolenceJack for its [[AllAnimeIsNaughtyTentacles Gorn and Porn]].
