* AcceptableTargets: One might argue that there are ''way'' too many jokes at the expense of fat people than are warranted.
** Angus somewhat invokes this.
* {{Anvilicious}}: The Black History Month episode has shades of this not only for black heritage but also a little bit of women's heritage.
* AwardSnub: At the 2012 Kids' Choice Awards, one nomination. JakeShort for Favorite TV Actor which he won against modest competition for these Awards, [[ModernFamily Ty Burrell,]] Alex Heartman of PowerRangers, and and Tim Allen. However, no other nods. Favorite Show and Actress are maybe year or two down the road, but Favorite Sidekick should have been Creator/SierraMcCormick for Olive. Who got nominated? Jennifer Stone, Jerry Trainor, Nathan Kress and Jennette [=McCurdy=](who won for the 2nd time in a row). Really? Three sidekicks from the same show? A show that the main protaganist seems the be the true sidekick to [[SpotlightStealingSquad Jennette [=McCurdy=]]]. It was as if NICK paved the way for her win by not putting anyone who posed a threat. Adding Gibby to the mix would've made much more sense, but he could've beat Jennette. YMMV on Sierra winning it, but she definitely deserved recognition.
** Its like they gave JakeShort the win to make up for it. But it wasn't even formally presented, just announced.
* CriticalResearchFailure: The Ancient Greece play. Zeus did not marry Aphrodite in Greek Mythology; depending on the version of the myth, she was his aunt or daughter.
* CrowningMusicOfAwesome:
** Chyna's rendition of "Dynamite" by Taio Cruz.
** China Anne's "Calling All The Monsters".
** Pretty much any time Chyna sings.
** Even the [[IronicNurseryTune so-called childrens songs]] from the episode "[=PerformANTs=]" when they are "The Happy Fuzzy Friends" especially the first song which is catchy, although its pretty dark.
* DudeNotFunny: In the episode "[=SciANTs=] Fair", Olive and Chyna fight over the controller to a miniature zeppelin during the titular fair; cue accidental recreation of the Hindenburg disaster with Olive even quoting the famous line "Oh, the humanity!" If the laugh track is to be believed, it's all PlayedForLaughs!
** Arguably the whole episode "[=MutANT=] Farm", but this quote "You got a text message from Satan! 'See you soon'..." takes the prize. That joke came from the first episode, which this episode was [[RecycledScript based]] off of.
** The PoliceBrutality jokes in "The [=InformANT=]", which were, of course, PlayedForLaughs. The scenes even got removed and shortened.
** Lexi breaking her legs [[ItMakesSenseInContext after pretending to be crippled]] in "[=PatANT=] Pending" and everybody thinking she's faking again and just leaving her there. God, we know she's an AlphaBitch, [[KickTheDog but that]] [[DisproportionateRetribution was just harsh]]...
*** It's also a bit of a SpecialEffectsFailure moment as Lexi was hit squarely on the ''head'', yet her ''legs'' are broken?!
** The "[=ANTernet=] episode tries to put the problems of arguing parents in stride (although it was treated seriously until it turns out Paisely was crying about her parrots). Lexi also makes a joke about deportation, just because Cameron's Canadian girlfriend was chosen to be in advertisements instead of her.
*** Let's not forget [[BlackComedy how the Librarian was reduced to bones because it has been so long since people visited the Library]].
** [[TearJerker Lexi harshly telling Fletcher that Chyna didn't love him.]]
** While looking for her AmeliaEarhart doll in "[=AmusemANT=] Park", Olive says " Where is she? [gasp] She's missing."
** When Fletcher gets a CrowningMomentOfAwesome, Chyna's about to compliment him only to get hit in the head with a boomerang.
* EarWorm: The theme music. Also "Cameron Parks: Space Cadet" from "[=ClarivoyANT=]".
** China Anne [=McClain=] released a very catchy halloween-themed song called "Calling All The Monsters". It appeared in the ''A.N.T. Farm'' HalloweenEpisode.
*** Almost '''anything''' sung by China. It doesn't take a hard look to see why Executive Producer Dan Signer came up with the show by literally writing it around her.
*** "Calling All The Monsters" hasn't just appeared on ''A.N.T. Farm'' - it's been on ''ShakeItUp Twice'' (once as an instrumental only though) and even on the Disney Channel original movie ''Girl Vs. Monster''. It's also a playable track on ''Just Dance Disney Party''.
** "Tonight I'm a Soccer Ball".
** The songs when they are "The Happy Fuzzy Friends".
** Fletcher's "I Propose" in "[=SignificANT Other=]".
*** And Chyna's song back to Fletcher in the same episode, "[[FriendZone As A Friend]]".
* EnsembleDarkHorse: Paisley is ''hugely'' popular, especially for a supporting character. Granted, that probably has less to do with the character itself and more with [[MsFanservice who plays her]].
** One would imagine that the most popular character of all would be Chyna, whom the show is written around, or at least Lexi for being pretty - but apparently, it's actually Olive. Being so {{Adorkable}} is a big reason for her popularity.
** Lexi's [[CharacterizationMarchesOn march towards characterization]] at being a LovableAlphaBitch seems to be a response to the (likely unanticipated) popularity of her character.
* FanPreferredCouple: Fletcher has a crush on Chyna, but most fanfiction you'll find will ship him with Olive instead.
* HilariousInHindsight: The episode "[=ScavANTger=] Hunt" features a lot of references to the ''StarWars'' franchise and George Lucas - right around the same time Disney (owners of [[CaptainObvious The Disney Channel]]) bought the ''Star Wars'' franchise and [=LucasFilm=] Licensing lock stock and barrel. Further interesting as it's a case of this trope ''before'' the episode actually aired.
* JustHereForGodzilla: A fair amount of males are only watching for Lexi & Paisley (and, to a degree, Chyna & Olive).
* LesYay / FoeYay: The end of "You're the One That I [=wANT=]" has [[ItMakesSenseInContext Lexi playing the male lead]] to Chyna's female lead. They sing a romantic song somewhat similar to "[[{{Grease}} Summer Nights]]" that was originally supposed to end with a kiss. They don't kiss, but still...
** Also, the below mentioned IdolSinger episode has Chyna singing "You are beautiful, no matter what they say..." The fact that Lexi mistakes this as Chyna singing the song ''to her'' is played as a joke, but the scene is ''seriously played out like Chyna is singing it to Lexi!''
* MST3KMantra: A fairly common complaint people have against the show is that Olive is the only one of the [=ANTs=] whose gift would actually help her do well academically.
* NightmareFuel: From the 1st episode, melted Chyna wax statue. in fact, Gibson said this upon seeing it:
-->''"Melted kid! A melted kid!"''
** In a recent episode, Fletcher removes Wacky the Wolf's head and ''there's no head under the costume''!!!
** Fletcher's first cartoon at the beginning of ''The [=ANTagonist=]'' is pretty shocking and grotesque. It borders on this and UncannyValley.
** The [[spoiler: dead librarian]] in "[=ANTswers=]".
* RetroactiveRecognition: Music/ChinaAnneMcClain and Creator/SierraMcCormick both appeared on the ''HannahMontana'' episode "Welcome to the Bungle", both playing confused and distraught audience members on a talk show that were fans of Hannah that mindlessly did whatever Hannah said she liked, and whose parents were concerned enough about the mixed signals Hannah gave the kids to bring them to a talk show featuring Miley so their daughter's could put her on the spot.
** Stefanie Scott's appearance in "Beethoven's Big Break" might also count since it was her first film role and she was roughly the same age (if not younger) as the [=ANTs=] are in-universe.
* TheScrappy: Gibson (and, to some degree, Angus).
* TheWoobie: Cameron. He's acknowledged to have absolutely no talents other than playing Donkey King (stated in the above quote). It's also revealed that he enjoys his job as the school announcer because it's the one time a day that people are willing to listen to him. [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking Also everyone calls him short.]]
** Fletcher is called dumb by everyone and it's always made fun of that his talent (art) is downright useless. Including the aforementioned "Lexi harshly telling Fletcher that Chyna didn't love him" above.
** Paisley in the '[=ANTswers=]' episode.
