!!Agarest Senki
* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rVxeoPGkgEI&feature=related King of Terrors]] is one because of the fact that you [[spoiler: get to finally punch out THE TrueFinalBoss with this kickass music]].
* BestKnownForTheFanservice: Everyone mostly remembers Yayoi as [[ItMakesSenseInContext the girl]] [[EroticEating with sausage]] on Akyss homepage.
** Everybody remembers the mousepad with Vira-Lorr's boobs.
* CanonSue: Rex, in fact one of Nico Nico Douga MC comments "This guy is too perfect!"
* EnsembleDarkhorse: The voting system is up as to who people want to bring back in Agarest 2 and [[http://www.compileheart.com/agarest_2nd/vote/result/3/index.html Leonhardt is number 1 and Valeria at number 3.]]
* GameBreaker: Stacking enough ATK+999 or MAG+900 is enough to turn ''anyone'' into your best fighter or mage. Stack your entire party with them, and you can literally K.O. the final boss in one round.
** The {{D|ownloadableContent}}LCs are very broken too, for example one of the DLC provides you with Gate of Heaven one of the most powerful scythe weapon and the other DLC pack gives you more than enough EP to fully enchances it.
* [[HoYay Les Yay]]: Not quite but [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oZ-bvXWutQ this]] reminds me of it so so much.
** Deeth probably counts as this and HoYay, being a hermaphroditic god that flirts with Dyshana while appearing as a female and doesn't seem to mind Thoma trying the same toward her. He does this after she states that she probably should've shown up as a male.
** Happens during many of the "{{Fanservice}}" type scenes (BeachEpisode, HotSpringsEpisode, ...).
* MemeticBadass: Go on, just ask people who have played the game. Most of them would bow down to the greatness of '''The Rock'''.
** As far as characters go, Reverie is one thanks to a bug. She's the only one who's able to wield the most powerful spear of the game.
* SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome: Ever pull a 6 character combo on a boss before? Well its really, really ''Awesome'' once you use high level multi-hitting combos that chain into special attacks for the sweet sweet overkill message.
** Pull off Ultimate Formation. [[ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill Just]] [[CombinationAttack pull off]] [[DesperationAttack Ultimate Formation.]]
* MostAnnoyingSound: Agarest characters walk very loud, even louder than ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXIII'''s characters.
* NoYay: Some people are put off by the fact that Rex can hook up with a woman who raised him, but [[{{Lolicon}} Plum]] ''especially'' draws this reaction.
* NoSuchThingAsBadPublicity: It is believed that Aksys was trying to pull off this trope to get more sales. [[http://www.siliconera.com/2010/04/06/esrb-examines-record-of-agarest-wars-suggestive-themes/ While the ESRB clarified a few things,]] the sales however of the game reached at least [[http://gamrreview.vgchartz.com/sales/29411/record-of-agarest-war/ forty-two thousand]] in it's first week here in the USA.
* ScrappyMechanic: Website/HardcoreGaming101 listed this game under its "Weekly [[SoBadItsGood Kusoge]]" segment because of the guild system and the mind-numbing bureaucracy it brings to the table. For an example, it provided [[http://hardcoregaming101.net/kusoge/kusoge01.htm two giant paragraphs]] worth of tasks needed to acquire the Capture Skill.
* ThatOneBoss: Midas, for many players thanks to his ridiculous Phoenix Strike.
** Midas. Every turn he kills all party members within 2 cells and regenerates 1/4 of his health.
** [[RuleOfThree Midas]], whose LimitBreak is a guaranteed TotalPartyKill.
** For some people, Keith is also a candidate for being ThatOneBoss just because [[spoiler: Ellis gets a DamselInDistress moment]].
* ThatOneLevel: Alzai Fen. Populated with enemies that are on the level of GoddamnedBats, some of them literal bats. And that's assuming you're not going for the Apostle of the Swamp title ASAP. Tree Spirit's intervention makes those Bats into DemonicSpiders.
* TooCoolToLive: Every main protagonist except Rex. Even him need to be in the true ending route to survive.
* TheUntwist: Seriously, who wouldn't suspect [[spoiler: [[ObviouslyEvil Vashtor to be evil?]]]]
** [[spoiler: This is actually a common misconception amongst players. Vashtor lost his memory after the battle with Leo in the first generation, so from the time where he meets Ladius (before the second generation starts) to the time where he regains his memories (about halfway through the fourth generation), he IS on your side. Even then, he will rejoin you in the fifth generation if you redeem him; between that and his backstory in ZERO, Vashtor himself can hardly be called evil.]]

!!Agarest Zero
* BaseBreaker: Linda is one of the most popular brides in the series in Japan, and yet gets quite a bit of hate in the US for being a {{Jerkass}} and forced as Sieghart's {{Love Interest|s}}.
* EnsembleDarkhorse: Eugene is probably the most popular character from the game.
** As far as the brides go, Dana is quite popular as well.
** DECIMAL!
* HoYay: Sieghart and Eugene have quite a bit of this, which doesn't go unnoticed by the rest of the party.
** Sieghart and Vashtor also have a generous amount of it as well
* ItsTheSameNowItSucks: A common complaint.
* MemeticBadass: Decimal. This is a chicken who beat a GURG!
* {{Narm}}: The one weapon that can defeat the gurgs, is Werdefahrt. Try saying that without cracking up poop jokes.
* TheWoobie: Pretty much every party member is one in some way.
** JerkassWoobie: Eugene may be an ass, but considering what his life was like before meeting Sieghart, his attitude is pretty understandable.
** Vashtor also becomes a huge one, especially if one considers his role in the first game after paying this.

!!Agarest Senki 2
* EnsembleDarkhorse: Victoria
* EvenBetterSequel
* GameBreaker: Arc-en-ciel, this skill is basically the reason why this game never crossed the NintendoHard line.
** No Fear EX Skill plus a ''really'' high vitality stat = almost no enemy can kill you at all. Pair it up with some Change HP Up+ and enemies might as well not even bother trying to kill you at all.
* HilariousInHindsight: Creator/KanaUeda voices the high elf Ellis in the first game. Fair enough. In Agarest 2 [[Creator/KanaAsumi Another]] [[NamesTheSame Kana]] voices the high elf Fiona. And you can have them both in the same party. Too bad no combination attack with Ellis and Fiona.
** Speaking of Fiona since she is a marriage option, [[Creator/KanaAsumi guess who]] [[http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2014-01-14/hidamari-sketch-voice-actress-kana-asumi-gets-married got married.]]
* MemeticBadass: The "Fairy" {{Mook|s}}. [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eHL9fYlYb88&feature=related Here's why.]]
* MoralEventHorizon: [[spoiler:Danaos]] ''sprints with it.'' He was a pretty decent guy in the first generation (seeing as you don't do much in [[spoiler:Graccea]] at that point), but once generation two starts rolling in, he tricks the party to do a long FetchQuest for him, [[spoiler: uses his daughter as a way to kill the party, drugs Luster to morph into a monster, kills Gideon just because he can, and kicks Melvina around whenever she fails her mission. All to summon Summerill at Aegisthus.]]
* NightmareFuel: [[spoiler: Eva's dream sequence where the darkness is invading her ''entire body''. You could not help but scream tentacle rape with this CG.]]
* TearJerker: [[spoiler: Jainus' HeroicSacrifice. That is all.]]
** [[spoiler: Rasta's death. You will cry because he really didn't deserve any of this and that he had to die by Yumil's hand.]]
* TheWoobie: [[spoiler: Chaos in a nutshell really. Let's see, he happens to be the leader of the dark gods who really just wants to be with Varna but Lenion gets to marry her first. Heartbroken, and being taken advantaged of Mobius to start the war, he gets defeated and sealed in the Zaint Luke pillar for ''a really long time''.]]
* ThatOneBoss: [[spoiler: Sophia and her golem is one in the third generation, but only if you were unprepared for the fact that you lose '''''four''' party members'' in this fight and if you rely on them too much: Janus makes a HeroicSacrifice, Fiona gets a DamselInDistress moment, Eva is still recovering from a HeroicBSOD, and Sophia is the one you're fighting against.]] Needless to say, if you did not have a back up save, and a back up party to replace the four of them, you might as well restart the game. This battle is still considered as a BossRush too. What this means is that whatever HP you had from the last boss fight, your HP is still going to be the same in this fight.

!!Characters
* AntiClimaxBoss: For a god of war, Mayastia sure is pretty easy to defeat.
* BaseBreaker: Several characters, most notably Ellis and Vashtor.
** Rex
* EnsembleDarkhorse:
** Everyone loves Winfield, or to be more exact no one hates him.
** Fyuria.
** Valeria. Enough to be at the number 3 spot as to who people want back in Agarest 2.
** Thoma Raglen. If we're talking about the protagonists themselves, he's the one a lot of people are interested in.
** Silvi.
** Noah is the only ThirdOptionLoveInterest who is ever regularly picked, and is in fact the most popular choice of players during the third generation.
** Murmina.
** Vashtor also proved popular enough to reappear as an extremely major character in Agarest Zero.
* SugarWiki/{{Funny Moment|s}}: Four words: Ellis, is Borgnine nearby?
* GameBreaker:
** Ellis's 2nd EX is healing all characters on the fields. The game-breaking part? It has 10 range, which means just connect your character with Ellis you can strike any enemies on the field.
** Plum's 2nd EX Maiden Prayer has 100 SP recovery effect which means focus on raising her SP to 100 on the 1st turn, next turn use Maiden Prayer and hello EX Spam.
* GrowingTheBeard: The game starts to really pick up in the third generation, with a greater emphasis on plot and character interaction, a more interesting environment, and the introduction of [[EnsembleDarkhorse Thoma]] as a playable character. The fourth and fifth generations follow suit ad are generally very fun to play.
* SugarWiki/{{Heartwarming Moment|s}}: Must be the qualifications of a harpuia in this game.
* HoYay: For a couple of ladies men, Winfield and Thoma verge on this at times.
* LawfulGood: Elaine Reinbach is easily the most righteous of the three brides, despite being the only one on the villainís side.
* {{Moe}}:
** Ellis as a kid.
** [[WhenSheSmiles When Fyuria Smiles.]]
** Ryuryu.
* SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome: Thoma Raglen pulls off an awesome speech when an elf was badmouthing Lavinia due to discrimination. He then recites word for word as to why men should protect women, and that race has nothing to do with it. He leaves the arrogant elf speechless. Up until this point, Thoma is nothing more than just a funny guy who loves women.
* [[spoiler:MoralEventHorizon: Danaos crossed it many times.]]
* NeverLiveItDown: Yayoi. See EroticEating.
* TheScrappy: Several.
** Luana is easily the least popular choice of a bride for the first generation, mostly due to her seemingly shoe-horned existence, mediocre combat skills, and not being [[EnsembleDarkhorse Fyuria or Elaine]].
** Arbol is hated for his obnoxious voice and awkward role of a combat-oriented mage.
** Faina is disliked for her bland personality as well as stealing the spotlight away from the much more popular Noah.
** Ladius and Duran are easily the least popular Raglens. Ladius due to being seen as a bland character in a boring re-hash of the first generation and Duran for being a whiny {{Jerkass}}.
** Fer is frequently seen as an annoying and unnecessary character who does little more than fill an extra party slot with his sub par stats.
** Melchior is reviled by most due to his status as a KarmaHoudini {{Jerkass}}.
* ScrappyLevel: The second generation is hated by many due to being incredibly similar to the first generation plot wise only with less memorable characters. Ladius is also seen as the most boring protagonist in the game.
* ThatOneBoss:
** While you can mop up the two previous generations with ease, Midas will certainly murder you over and over again with his Phoenix Strike. With a range of two squares in front of him.
** Keith to some people due to the fact that [[spoiler: Ellis gets kidnapped by Vashtor]].
* [[spoiler: TheUntwist: The fact that Vashtor's the Dark Knight in the first generation should not be a surprise to any Genre Savvy player.]]
* TooCoolToLive: Leonhardt Raglen in the end.
* TheWoobie:
** Lavinia. Gets discriminated by high elves wherever she goes.
** Mimel.
** Niel.
** Winfield may be all about laughs, but if one takes the time to look at his character, he's an extremely broken man who experiences excruciating pain every moment of his life due to his cursed bracelet and will never be able to be with his beloved again. Some of his dialogue implies him to be a DeathSeeker, which only makes things worse.
** JerkassWoobie: Duran may be a massive jerk, but you can't exactly blame him for hating a world that destined him to die before he was even born. None of his companions ever really take the time to talk to him about it, making him an even more miserable person.
* ViewerGenderConfusion: If it weren't for Duran Raglen's deep voice, he'd probably pass as a girl to viewers.
* {{Wangst}}: Many view Duran's constant whining as this, though he's not exactly without his reasons. As always YMMV.
