* {{Adorkable}}: Twilight easily has this in spades. Her infatuation with all the mysteries of Ulquiorra's nature makes it very hard not to smile.
* AlternateCharacterInterpretation:
** Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. They're portrayed as well meaning in nature, but their approach to caring involved a drill sergeant approach to others, riling them up in an effort to make them succeed at what they try to do.
** Chapter 65 gives us discussion that AdventurerArchaeologist Daring Do and her many aspects might very well be little more than RobbingTheDead.
* ArcFatigue: The current storyline from chapter 53 on is succumbing to this. Plot advancement has been sacrificed in the name of painting a very detailed, but very bleak picture of what the characters are going through, as they're targeted for attack by some unknown villain.
* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic:
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xN3O7ZUg1J0 "Moonshield"]] as Ulquiorra just casually strolls right through a dragon's raging fire.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GI03rSPMUQk "Cometh the Hour Part A"]] as Rainbow Dash engages in a high speed pursuit to catch the dragon and try to save Ulquiorra.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lsn2tT5yTc "Number One"]] as Ulquiorra pulls a BigDamnHeroes moment and proceeds to beat the dragon to a bloody pulp.
* BrokenBase: The coverage of the Mare Do Well event is this to the readers. Either Rainbow Dash is correct in being angry at her friends for their betrayal, or she's incredibly dense and selfish for not seeing that they were going to desperate lengths to try and help her when she didn't know she needed help.
* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: Chapter 69 with [[spoiler: Luna wanting to adopt Ulquiorra as her son.]]
* BreatherBoss: The dragon appears to serve this purpose as far as Ulquiorra is concerned.
* CryForTheDevil: Chrysalis. Just Chrysalis. What started off as being a stereotypical villain plot, somehow morphed into being a desperate attempt at saving her people/species from extinction, and everything going horribly, horribly wrong.
* HeroicRROD: Thunder Strike of the Royal Guard is known for working his shift, maxing out on overtime, and never taking a day off. As in ''ever.'' He's even pulled another guard's shift on occasion, in addition to doing his own. During the brief periods when he's not working or sleeping, he's spending all of his free time trying to sharpen and maintain his skills and discipline to do his job even better. Even Celestia is horrified at him mentioning he'll work additional shifts and longer hours if asked to.
* ParanoiaFuel: Surprisingly Ulquiorra embodies this trope rather than the ponies. He believes that there's something sinister loose in Equestria, out to kill the Mane Six.
