Saraya-Jade Bevis (born 17 August 1992) is an English professional wrestler best known for her time in Wrestling/WWE, where she performed under the name Paige. She is currently signed to Wrestling/AllEliteWrestling, where she performs under the name Saraya.

She made her first debut for the World Association Of Wrestling Academy under the name Britani Knight at age 13 when she was asked to fill in for another wrestler who could not make a show. She later competed for various European promotions and was invited to work for Wrestling/SHIMMER in 2011. She signed to WWE later that year, where she performed on the main roster and in its developmental territory, NXT.

As Britani Knight, Bevis won six solo championships/titlesThe Herts & Essex Wrestling Women's Championship, the Real Quality Wrestling Women's Championship, the German Stampede Wrestling Women's Championship, the Pro Wrestling EVE Championship, the World Association Of Wrestling Ladies Hardcore Title, and the Swiss Championship Wrestling Ladies Championship and two tag team championshipsThe Pro Wrestling Fighters Ladies Tag Team Championships with Sweet Saraya, and the WAWW Tag Team Titles with Melodi. As Paige, she was a 1-time NXT Women's Champion, a 2-time Divas Champion, and the winner of the 2013 NXT Women's Championship Tournament. She also briefly held the WWE Divas Championship and the NXT Women's championship at the same time, marking the first time that a wrestler held titles in both leagues simultaneously. Finally, as Saraya, she briefly held the AEW Women's World Champion.

Paige is also a member of the Series/TotalDivas cast, serving as part of the main cast in seasons 3-6 and 8 while making guest appearances in season 9. In 2017, Wrestling/DwayneJohnson announced he would be producing a biopic based on her life, with Creator/FlorencePugh portraying her; the end product, Film/FightingWithMyFamily, was released in early 2019.

In 2015 and 2016, Paige went on hiatus due to injury. She underwent neck surgery in October 2016, but suffered an impact injury to the neck during a match in December 2017, preventing her from further competing. She ultimately announced her formal retirement from in-ring competition at age 25 on April 10, 2018, but was announced the next day by Wrestling/ShaneMcMahon as the new appointee for the role of General Manager of SmackDown Live! following Daniel Bryan's resignation.This role was reportedly given to her by Wrestling/VinceMcMahon to help keep her on TV to promote her biopic. She retained this role through the rest of the year.

Following a brief absence to further promote Fighting with My Family, Paige's final appearances in WWE would occur between 2019 and 2020, wherein she returned as the manager of the Kabuki Warriors, a tag team between Asuka and Kairi Sanealthough they would eventually sever ties with her in October 2019 after turning heel, and appeared via Skype to announce the opponents for then-[=SmackDown=] Women's Champion Wrestling/Bayley's match at [=WrestleMania=] 36. She announced on June 10, 2022 that she would be leaving WWE effective July 7.

After her retirement, Paige repeatedly voiced wishes to return to the ring but stated that her neck needed to fully recover before she could do so. On September 21, 2022, she made her AEW debut at Dynamite Grand Slam. It was later announced on November 9 that she was 100% cleared to return to the ring; her return match was at that year's Full Gear against Wrestling/BrittBaker.

Not to be confused with Wrestling/PaigeTurner.

!! "The Enchanting Raven-Troped Index":

* AbusiveParents: While they had previous periods of somewhat getting along, "Sweet" Saraya was not a kind mother to her during their time in Wrestling/SHIMMER, to say the least. She had very high standards for Britani; when Britani didn't meet them, heads rolled. Or, to be more exact, daughters were hit and flat-out disowned.
%%* TheAce: In real life. She's a wrestling prodigy.
* AllOfTheOtherReindeer: Wrestling/AliciaFox told her before a match that none of the other Divas like her at all, so she should leave. Whether it's true or not is yet to be seen, but Paige definitely hasn't been out to make friends during her time on the main roster. It becomes a plot point in her feud against the Wrestling/BellaTwins in June 2015, when Paige tries to rally the rest of the locker-room against the way they "control" the division but finds that the other Divas have more beef with her due to her actions since making it onto the main roster.
* AloofDarkHairedGirl: Moreso as a face.
* AlternateCompanyEquivalent
** She's a deceptively tall, pale, dark-haired and darkly-dressed British beauty who thinks quite differently from others and has hints of PsychoLesbian tendencies which she's exploited to her advantage. If she's in TNA, then her name is Winter.
** Priscilla Kelly got to national television first, as a part of Big Fat Gypsy Weddings US SpinOff, but Britani Knight was in the wrestling business before the reality show, Kelly waiting for it to end before wrestling. Knight's gimmick and behavior didn't get really similar until Knight became Paige in FCW's revival, but people who only knew Kelly through wrestling assumed she got everything from Paige. The similarities between the two are disjointed; Indy!Britani Knight was a "Gypsy Soul" due to the fact her family were roaming travelers who settled in England, Paige was an antisocial technical-brawler in Revived!FCW and NXT, then Paige used her sexuality as a weapon on Raw and Smackdown. The antisocial technical-brawling Kelly gets from Knight, the sexual curiosity towards Wrestling/BigELangston and harassment of AJ are what Knight gets from Kelly, the black hair(which is ingforyourartd in Knight's case but before Big Fat Gypsy Weddings aired), pale skin and gypsy identity are coincidental but enough to ensure the two would have been compared even if they didn't borrow from each other.
* AnimalMotif: Ravens. She was dubbed "the Mysterious Raven-Haired Lady" due to her appearance and her entrance theme is preceded with a loud bird screech.
* ArchEnemy:
** Wrestling/SummerRae on FCW [=/=] NXT. The roots for this started back during her brief "mysterious stalker" angle with Wrestling/SethRollins in FCW when Paige attacked Summer for trying to interfere on Wrestling/BradMaddox's behalf against Rollins, but really kicked off in NXT when Summer, then a ring announcer, took offense to Paige bumping into her and retaliated violently.
** Wrestling/AJLee on Wrestling/WWE's main roster, due to how much both women treasure the Divas's Championship. All Divas want the championship, but AJ (who successfully defended her title against the entire Divas roster in a free-for-all at Wrestling/WrestleMania XXX) and Paige (who did take the title off AJ, only one night after aforementioned free-for-all, in Paige's debut, in a singles match she won with one move) are the top competitors and effectively each other's rivals. However, AJ's retirement from in-ring competition in the 'E ended their story on a friendly note with Paige and AJ as allies successful against the Wrestling/BellaTwins.
** Speaking of which, the Bellas were such arch-rivals to her that it wound up spawning 2015's "Divas Revolution".
** Since her return to wrestling in AEW, she got a new arch-enemy in Wrestling/BrittBaker. Herself was previously a Babyface and Baker a Heel, negative fan reception towards the returning veteran kiboshed the plans and caused a FaceHeelDoubleTurn that switched roles in that she's now a nasty heel and the AEW Original an Anti Heroic face.
* ArtisticLicenseGeography
** While Britani Knight was beating on Wrestling/AngelaFong she ranted about the USA being pathetic, seemingly oblivious to the fact Angela is Canadian and in kayfabe was billed from Hong Kong China.
** After getting her foot in the United States, Knight looked south to Florida, hoping to get to Universal Studios so she could get signed by Triple A. The best this approach would get her is to the middle man of a middle man.
* AwesomeYetImpractical: Her submission finisher, the Paige Tap Out[=/=]Scorpion Cross Lock. It looks awesome and when she locks it in, her opponent is going to have a hard time getting out of it. It edges into impracticality because it's a difficult move to lock in and can be easily countered, leaving Paige open to attack whilst she tries to set the move up.The "easily countered" issue is because of Paige not being particularly thick or muscular. The last woman to use the hold was Wrestling/BullNakano, whose size made it difficult to knock her out of the hold, and whose strength made it easier to manipulate her (usually smaller) opponents.
* BadassBoast: Her theme song is one long one.
* BattleBikini: She's wrestled almost exclusively in a two piece since coming to America. At least one of her Florida Championship Wrestling outfits as well.
* Bash Sisters: With Wrestling/BeckyLynch.
* BatmanGambit: JBL suggested that Paige never went onto WWE to congratulate AJ; she went there to goad AJ into a match so she could take her title. Whether this is anywhere close to the truth or not is unknown. Regardless of whether the gambit was intentional or not, Paige ends up having it turned on her by a returning AJ on the 6/30/14 Raw and losing the belt back to her.
* BattleCry: Usually lets one out as she enters the ring, and often during matches as well. During AJ's first (and successful) rematch with her after Paige had won the title, she actually got some words to it: "THIS IS MY HOUSE NOW!!" This later became her CatchPhrase.
* BecameTheirOwnAntithesis: She entered WWE's developmental territory as an "Anti-Diva" who scorns their reliance on being a MsFanservice and such. Once she moves to the main roster, she finds herself partaking in Divas activities and even became a sex-symbol herself.
* BecomingTheMask: Possibly. After Wrestling/AJLee comes back, Paige's personality takes a drastic change: she adopts many of AJ's mannerisms, professes that AJ is her best friend and that she loves her, and becomes noticeably more malevolent and manipulative than she seemed to be before. It was suggested that the dramatic shift in personality was deliberate, with Paige playing a part to play mind-games with AJ and unbalance her so that Paige could take back the Divas title, which seemed to be supported several times when Paige became so unnerved by AJ successfully turning her ploy against her by playing along that Paige couldn't keep up the act. At some point, though, Paige seems to have gotten caught up in her own act and started to genuinely lose it and be hurt by AJ's attacks, continuing to show AmbiguouslyGay tendencies in her interactions with other Divas such as Wrestling/AliciaFox, Wrestling/Neidhart, and, if you count Series/TotalDivas, Wrestling/RosaMendes. (Depending on how scripted one believes Series/TotalDivas to be or not, this could also be interpreted as a case of RealLifeWritesThePlot.)
* BerserkButton:
** Don't try to touch or steal her championship belt.
** Also, don't slap her.
* BewareTheQuietOnes: Her Anti-Diva persona in FCW and NXT in a nutshell as the strong, silent type. Her first reign on WWE's main roster as Divas Champion had shades of this, but suffered from serious BadassDecay because she was being pushed as an underdog champion rather than the powerhouse she was in developmental.
* BigDamnHeroes: When Wrestling/SummerRae, Wrestling/Flair, and Wrestling/SashaBanks started beating the crap out of Wrestling/Bayley on NXT, Paige and Emma stormed the ring and chased them off.
* BittersweetEnding: Her Wrestling/WWE career in general. She came in triumphantly, winning the Diva's Championship in her debut, but her career was mired with a number of controversies and injuries since then. She then made a strong comeback that was ultimately derailed by a CareerEndingInjury. By the time she hung up her boots, however, her goal of women's wrestling being taken seriously again is in full swing and she is forever remembered as one of the movement's pioneers. Also, one of the biggest names in wrestling history decided to make a Biopic of her which became critically and commercially successful.
* BlondeBrunetteRedhead: The brunette to Charlotte's blond and Becky Lynch's redhead.
* BookEnds: She made her official WWE debut in UsefulNotes/NewOrleans the night after Wrestling/WrestleMania. She officially announced her retirement at the same time and place exactly four years later.
* BoringButPractical: The Paige-Turner, a swinging leg hook fireman's carry slam. It's essentially Paige grabbing an opponent's leg and swinging it out from under them, dropping them on their head.
* ButNotTooWhite: Trope to the point that Wrestling/Sheamus looks tan in comparison. Hanging by commentary on 4/14/14 RAW when they note that she and Sheamus probably go to the same tanning salon, and later joke that they should become a pasty-skinned couple. After Paige began feuding with the Wrestling/BellaTwins after 2015's Royal Rumble, they started taunting her about her skin color, calling Paige a "vampire" and forcibly spray-tanning her in a post-match attack to give her some "color."
* ButtMonkey: Not only was Britani kicked around by just about every person in Shimmer she came across, but Shine's video packages also used footage of wrestlers kicking her around despite having yet to invite her to compete (and seeing how she hooked up with a neighboring promotion that has ties up North, possibly never will).
* ByTheHair: Britani would like to stand on the hair of a face down opponent as they tried to get up. One of Paige's Signature Moves is a hair-pull slam.
* CaptainErsatz: The Paige character in FCW was created to be one for Lisbeth Salander.
* CareerEndingInjury: Her injuries finally catch up with her on December 2017, forcing her into retirement the following year.
* CatchPhrase: "This is my / our house!"
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: Started in FCW as a badass hacker a la Lisbeth Salander who was stalking Wrestling/SethRollins, but she then switched to the "Anti-Diva Army" with Sofia Cortez, and both angles were dropped. As a parenthetical note, the hacker gimmick was given to Solomon Crowe. It's pretty awesome, which does make you wonder...
* Chickification: In a similar vein as her old developmental foe Wrestling/SummerRae. Paige has had much more success on the main roster than poor Summer, but how they were booked on the main roster was a definite step-down from NXT to better fit what WWE execs expected their Divas to be. Paige's fan-favorite gimmick of the cool, badass Anti-Diva was changed into a timid underdog champion who pulled out last-second wins against opponents a la Wrestling/JohnCena. When she turned heel, fans had high hopes of seeing the return of the Anti-Diva, only for those hopes to be dashed when she just started copying AJ and acting infatuated with her, wanting her as her friend.
* ChronicBackstabbingDisorder: Has established a pattern on the main roster of making (or at least trying to make) friends with other Divas only to turn on them later.
* ChristmasEpisode: Wasn't her last but her 2009 "Christmas Dinner Match" with Sweet Saraya at WAW's Carols and Carnage stands out, being the only completely "Christmas" themed encounter on the show.
* ClusterFBomb[=/=]SirSwearsALot: On Total Divas. Every fifth word she says has to be bleeped. Admitted on Wrestling/StoneColdSteveAustin's podcast that she is like this in general when she's not on a mic in kayfabe. She even got in trouble for saying the F-word during a live Facebook Q&A.
* Character Expy:
** Her mid-2014 phase of being a FriendlyEnemy with NoSenseOfPersonalSpace is essentially a cross between herself, Wrestling/AJLee, and Wrestling/Aksana, which oddly enough leaves her just a AGodAmI god/devil complex away from becoming a feminine Wrestling/BrayWyatt.
** Also combined with Promoted Fangirl, as the defining elements of the badass Anti-Diva Paige character were all influenced from three of her own favorite wrestlers from when she grew up: Wrestling/BullNakano's brutality and scorpion cross lock finisher, Wrestling/Lita's unconventional beauty and attitude, and Stone Cold Steve Austin's take-no-nonsense anti-status quo bent—something she would later admit to Austin himself on the Stone Cold Podcast.
* ContinuityNod: Prior to being outright acknowledged through her interview on the Stone Cold Podcast (quick trifecta for those Austin mentions, huh?), Paige being Britani Knight was actually alluded to in a covertly more solid way than most indy-to-WWE transplants' former identities are. At least one of the occasional references to her pre-WWE career experience has included a mention of her mother being Saraya Knight. Also, one of her WWE Immortals personas is called the "Banshee Knight".
* CuteBruiser: She is a lovely, slender young lady with a build like Wrestling/AJLee's, but favors a move-set with a hell of a lot of aggression to it and has an equally fierce attitude.
* DarkActionGirl: Holy hell. She's not much softer as a face, either, making for one tough-as-nails ActionGirl.
* DarkIsNotEvil: Despite a look that wouldn't have been too out of place as part of Wrestling/TheAscension (or the Wrestling/AttitudeEra's Wrestling/MinistryOfDarkness, for that matter), Paige has stayed a Face her entire time in NXT. What's more is that she has never been able to stay heel for very long in FCW or WWE.
* Friendship VillainousFriendship: Wrestling/AliciaFox was the second challenger for Paige's (first) Divas Championship. Though she was built up as a genuine threat, even giving Paige her first main roster loss, Paige defeated her at Payback 2014 to put an end to their feud. Months later, Alicia turned up as now-heel Paige's "new best friend" and ally against Wrestling/AJLee, Paige's "former best friend" who had beaten her for the championship twice. Paige and Alicia seemed to be getting along very, very well in spite of their history, but it didn't last very long after Alicia's attempt to help Paige win the title only got her a Black Widow.
* DemotedToExtra: She hasn't been doing much since her return from injury in 2016, being relegated to the C-show, Main Event and undergoing a huge case of BadassDecay, becoming more and more like the Divas that she claimed she wasn't.
* Determinator: Paige's thing seemed to be hanging on through beatings long enough to hit the Paige Turner, starting with her unexpected counter to AJ's Black Widow. She also definitely qualifies from an out-of-kayfabe perspective. She may have (temporarily) retired from in-ring competition at a young age, but when you consider that she sustained a career as a wrestler for over 10 years and became a pioneering force for WWE's women's division despite suffering from scoliosis, it's amazing that she got so far at all.
* DistaffCounterpart: In NXT, with Wrestling/SethRollins, both had aggressive metal themes, with the image of an EmoTeen, and both were first to hold their division's NXT championship after a TournamentArc. Later on the main roster, her Divas Revolution team PCB contained elements of Seth's PowerTrio Wrestling/TheShield, complete with her and Seth both being the one with a case to claim having started the group as well as the first to abandon it to follow championship ambitions.
* Do Not Call Me "Saraya": Paige is never called by her real name on Series/TotalDivas, although occasionally someone will call her "Raya". Averted in AEW.
* DownerBeginning: Yes, even given Britani Knight's status, 2011 was harsh. She had the most losses in her career since the two years following Norfolk Dolls breakup, losing six championships and only getting one singles win in Shimmer, which happened to be the violent end of the Knight Dynasty, leaving her in a foreign land without allies. But then she made a little deal with a promotion in Florida which would change everything. Britani's downward spiral was Paige's beginning.
* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness:
** Videos from live events when she first signed with the company show her with a tan, performing as "Saraya" and playing the clownish heel she normally played in Wrestling/SHIMMER as opposed to her badass persona now.
** Her first couple months in NXT were spent as a jobber despite the commentary playing up her wrestling heritage and her even appearing on the show's opening video package.
* UsefulNotes/EastAnglia: Born in Norwich, England.
* EeriePaleSkinnedBrunette: Plays this trope to a T.
** RavenHairIvorySkin
** Her Red Barons, "The Enchanting/Mysterious Raven-Haired Lady" and "Miss Hell in Boots", are based off these two tropes.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: The Series/TotalDivas adaptation of her real-life persona was first seen taking Natalya to a lowbrow house party which involved pot brownies. Except they weren't and she just said they were to get Nattie to lighten up.
* EvilBrit:
** When interviewed about the Knight Dynasty's unpopularity after their first Shimmer show, Britani insisted it was only because of prejudice and Saraya shouted down any implications that their win was "controversial" (It would have to be specifically British prejudice since Ariel, who simply used the brass knuckles Saraya fumbled with, was Portuguese). Of course Britani earned her hatred at the Eagle's club, as the live crowd were initially very welcoming till she proclaimed her hatred for them.
** Subverted in developmental as the Anti-Diva. She didn't care one bit about national superiority, she was just violent, dark, and out to destroy softer Divas, who she perceived as "Barbies". Then she went to NXT and became popular enough to turn face while remaining the same vicious person as before, just with a charming smile for the fans and mostly targeting heels.
* FaceHeelRevolvingDoor: Will often play the heel if she's in a face vs face match.
* FaceHeelTurn:
** After losing to AJ at Battleground 2014, she attacked AJ after teaming up with her and winning a match, and now seems to be firmly set on heel. Arguably, though, she's been a heel the whole time since her Raw debut, and her naive face routine was only ever an act. It's all but been confirmed in the story arc now that the idea is that she knew exactly what she was doing on the night after Wrestlemania when she goaded AJ into putting her title on the line, just like when she pretended AJ was her friend after losing the belt to her. Also a FaceHeelDoubleTurn, with AJ returning to the face role.
** Again in September of 2015 due to her jealousy of Charlotte winning the Diva's Championship and her growing frustration with the Bellas.
** And once again in January of 2023 alongside Wrestling/ToniStorm as a result of feeling disrespected by the audience.
* FailedASpotCheck: See GenreBlindness with regards to Nikki's solo Money in the Bank entrance. Not to mention that Paige doesn't immediately notice the difference in who she's wrestling post-TwinSwitch despite the fact that the Bellas now look very different -- apart from different body types Paige should probably have noticed since she's, you know, wrestling Nikki, Brie's Nikki attire and wig border on PaperThinDisguise for how laughably cheap and transparent it looks.
* FalseFriend: After Wrestling/AJLee reclaimed the divas' title from Paige, Paige acted surprisingly cool with it, declaring her admiration of AJ, cheering her on at matches, treating her with respect, and trying to buddy up to her in general. While Wrestling/MichaelCole and Wrestling/JerryLawler bought it, JBL suspected that it was an act and was eventually proven right on the July 21, 2014 edition of RAW when, after they won a match together, Paige called AJ into the ring under the pretense of celebrating together and instead beat an unsuspecting AJ down. She's actually kept proclaiming her friendship for AJ since then. At one point, she attacked AJ after a match, putting her in hospital, but she kept calling AJ her friend even as she sat on the stage and watched medical personnel attending her.
* FauxAffablyEvil: Paige as a heel on the main roster, in stark contrast to her personality on NXT. She acts so sugary-sweet that it's obvious she's being insincere, and claims that she is her enemy's best friend despite attacking her right after or right before she says it.
* FinishingMove: She used a modified fireman's carry slam named the Paige-Turner and an inverted sharpshooter named the PTO (Paige Tap-Out) as her finishers. She also had a package DDT called the Ram-Paige during her NXT run, dropped it for a while after debuting on the main roster, but eventually added it back and it's become her primary after her return in 2017.
* FiveMovesOfDoom: An odd collection but still present. Hair-pull slams, a series of knees to an opponent positioned over the middle rope, Fisherman's Suplex, kick to the gut, Paige-Turner (WWE)/Knight-Cap (AEW).
* FoeRomanceSubtext: With AJ, given that AJ seems to like calling her "my sweet little crumpet." Paige has played into it, too, saying things like, "I still love you!" and "We belong together! ...In that ring!" (See also her entire speech in this video.) Their "frenemies" phase was full of tension, given how many insincere interactions they had. Their match at Wrestling/SummerSlam had a hell of a lot of this, mostly on Paige's part - slowly crawling up AJ's prone body and staying in that pose for a bit longer than necessary, hugging and kissing AJ (on the cheek) after beating her...
* Foreshadowing: The trailer for Wrestling/SummerSlam 2014 ended with the voiceover saying "What goes around... always... comes back around" while Paige is on-camera. The match she had at [=SummerSlam=] was against Wrestling/AJLee for the Divas Championship, which Paige had lost to AJ a few months ago. In retrospect, the commercial seemed to be hinting that Paige would win back her title.
* yies: She claimed that her relationship with AJ was this (even calling AJ her "frenemy"). Officially learned more towards the "enemies" side when she attacked AJ after they won a tag-team match. Went back towards friends half a year later when both got completely sick of the Bella Twins.
* FreudianExcuse: Britani's feud with her mother, Sweet Saraya, at the end of Britani's Wrestling/SHIMMER run, has this trope inherently built into it. Few other daughters can say that they had a no-DQ match with their moms.
* TheGadfly: Very quickly established herself as this on Total Divas at Wrestling/Neidhart's expense. Nattie was not amused.
* GameBreakingInjury: Her neck. It needed corrective surgery that took her out from mid 2016 to late 2017.
* GenerationXerox: Currently looks almost exactly like Saraya did before she dyed her hair bright red.
* GeniusBruiser: Was initially portrayed in FCW as a mysterious character with an unexplained interest in Wrestling/SethRollins who apparently was to be revealed as some sort of hacker. She could be seen helping him and standing up for him several times before this angle was dropped in a matter of weeks.
* GenreBlindness: To the Wrestling/BellaTwins's Twin Magic. After Nikki came out "alone" for a title match with Paige on RAW, only to swap out with Brie under the ring and let Brie steal a win over Paige for her, Paige is outraged, saying how they've used that trick for years to win and she's sick of it. During her next title match against Nikki, at Money in the Bank 2015, Nikki came out "alone" again. No red flags for Paige, who is somehow surprised when it turns out that Nikki has swapped with Brie again, even though she didn't do anything to prevent it and nothing suggested that the twins weren't planning to do it again.
* GimmickMatches: Besides falls count anywhere, no disqualification, handicap matches and the like Britani had already been in, she found herself participating in several money in the bank on a pole matches in WWE's version of FCW.
* GirlNextDoor: Britani Knight as a face.
* GracefulLoser:
** Played straight after she lost to Wrestling/Wrestler on 6/17/2014's Main Event when Paige swallowed any hurt pride and went to congratulate Naomi by shaking her hand. Too bad Wrestling/Cameron interrupted. (Too bad for Cameron, that is.)
** Trope after she lost the Divas Championship to Wrestling/AJLee; for weeks afterward, Paige seemed to be a Graceful Loser who had respect for AJ for beating her and even became AJ's friend, but it turned out that Paige was actually furious that AJ had taken the title from her. She eventually turned heel when she attacked AJ from behind to punish her for taking the title.
* HairTriggerTemper: Yeah, she's got more than a few anger issues.
* HardHead: One of the few modern era Divas (or really, WWE performers, period) known to use headbutts.
* HeadTurningBeauty: In the documentary about her family, her mother says that putting her daughter's face on merchandise always sells and that people always flock to see her. She's also described as being signed by WWE instantly and a huge number of fans find her attractive.
* HeelFaceTurn:
** First there was the falling out with her mother in SHIMMER.
** Then there was the face turn in the early goings of her run with NXT solely due to PopularityPower.
** On the WWE main roster, she turned heel for a feud with Wrestling/AJLee in the summer. After six months as a heel, between her feud with AJ requiring time off due to injury, coupled with the third season of Total Divas placing her in the role of TheGadfly, Paige was quietly turned face again around the end of 2014.
** Returned in late 2017 as the leader of the villainous faction Absolution, before injuries forced her into an early retirement. She since turned face as the new GM of [=SmackDown=] Live.
* HellIsThatNoise: When she's got someone caught up in the Ram-Paige (a Package DDT), especially during NXT, she'll make a horrible scream. She may or may not be trying to imitate the distorted screech at the beginning of her entrance theme.
* HilariouslyAbusiveChildhood: The way her upbringing was described in the Stone Cold Podcast. First off, she was (in her own words) "taking bumps as a fetus" because of the fact that her mother, Sweet Saraya wasn't aware of her pregnancy until a match where she got thrown outside the ring and came up feeling ill. And Saraya was pretty far along at that point. And then, the bulk of Paige's initial ring training occurred while she was still barely a teenager, at the hands of her mother and brothers. Any wrestler who's gotten good will tell you that being trained to wrestle can be harsh and physical, and the Knight family's training style is particularly severe and abrasive, sometimes to unfortunate levels, as several of Paige's classmates in WAW and Bellatrix have attested to regarding her mother. During this training and in the early goings of her career, she would often be stiffed if she screwed up a move, a practice she later returned onto others in FCW developmental until the WWE's trainers informed her that it was a no-no. Also, she describes an incident where she was apparently hit by a car, looked like a bloody mess, and her dad essentially told her that if she could still move her toes, she would still work the match that night. Again, she was still a teenager. She signed with FCW after just turning 18. This is considered "hilariously" abusive rather than just outright so only because Paige volunteered for much of it and is proud of what she's gained through it. She was tough and strong enough to be hired on as a bouncer at fifteen years old, for example, on top of the entirety of her wrestling career.
* HonorBeforeReason: When a returning Wrestling/AJLee comes out to admit that Paige "slapped her back to reality" by taking the Divas Title from AJ and tries to congratulate her, Paige wastes no time in pointing out that this is the same "tactic" she used to goad AJ into a title match months earlier... and she still ends up being goaded into a title match herself and losing the title back to AJ by giving in to the fans' desire for a championship rematch.
* IAmVeryBritish: Be it on TV, or in real life, she speaks with her native Norwich English accent.
* IHaveNoSon: As Britani Knight, she was disowned by her mother for losing one match too many in their largely unsuccessful Shimmer (after debuting in Shimmer Saraya did okay individually but the Knight Dynasty lost as many tag team matches as they won and Britani won no individual encounters). Britani then turned around and disowned her mother.
* ImprobableAge: Since she started her training at thirteen, it's quite surprising to see her treated as one of the veteran judges on Tough Enough. She was twenty-two at the time but had been wrestling for nearly ten years and held multiple titles. This trope may have been the reason WWE chose to book her as an underdog upon her main roster debut.
* InsultBackfire: Britani thought "Jetta wannabe" was a compliment.
* Irony: In her Talk Is Jericho interview, Paige talks about how she primarily played a heel on the indies - claiming she looks fake whenever she smiles. This is incredibly ironic when one thinks that she has never been able to make a heel run stick for very long in WWE - and has found most of her success as a face or tweener.
* KickTheDog:
** The Knight Dynasty and Rebecca Knox beat little Leva Bates unconscious in between matches on SHIMMER volume 39.
** Ironically Paige's biggest example now involves Becky Lynch. Her repeatedly telling Becky to shut up and calling Becky the least relevant Diva during her WorkedShoot [=#PaigeBomb=] against Charlotte Flair and the entire female roster was the one part of the entire "Charlotte celebration" segment that actually got booed, at least before the Twins interrupted.
* KidHeroAllGrownUp: Paige is of course Britani Knight all grown up; though Britani wasn't a "hero".to most audiences outside of the UK, she was AHeroToHisHometown wildly popular at home especially among the other kids, having debuted at age 13.
* KindheartedCatLover: In real life; she's got three of them, to be exact.
* LadyInRed: Switched from a purple outfit to an otherwise-identical red one at Wrestling/SummerSlam, and seemed to be sticking with it.
* LaughablyEvil: While Britani could be very condescending and sometimes even a little nasty, she wasn't particularly competent in the arts of insults or dirty fighting (keep in mind the implications here, given the genre we're discussing) and was prone to throwing temper tantrums.
* LegacyCharacter: Somewhat before becoming Paige. Like her mother (whose real name is Julia Bevis), she has wrestled under the name Saraya Knight, and now wrestles in AEW as Saraya. Less so considering that she is actually named Saraya.
* LesserStar: In PCB compared to Becky and Charlotte. Paige rarely won, took most of the losses and wasn't as popular as them. Naturally this led to her turning on the group.
* LimitedWardrobe: In contrast to lots of other Divas, Paige has only had about four different attires since her FCW debut.
* LonelyAtTheTop: She didn't have many people in her corner during either run as Divas Champion.
* astarditch: Tried desperately to be this in her feud with AJ Lee for the Divas Championship. It worked twice to get her the title, but backfired both times when AJ beat her to take it back.
** Take one: The night after [=WrestleMania XXX=], Paige debuted by seemingly accidentally goading AJ into underestimating her and giving her a free title match, enabling her to catch AJ by surprise and win the Divas Championship with her first wrestling move on the main roster. Wrestling/JohnBradshawLayfield would accuse her for months of having done this all on purpose, which AJ clearly believes as well, given that she returned the favor full-stop to take her title back when she returned nearly three months later is any indication. Paige practically confirmed this by trying to call AJ out on her attempt to reverse the table, but pretty much put her foot in her mouth by mentioning it in the first place as well as somehow presuming the audience would not want to see the match. Due to the entire Divas roster hating her and a few fans being skeptical that she deserved to win the title so quickly, Paige was susceptible to the audience's demands once AJ invoked them to catch her off guard, resulting in her relenting and subsequently losing the title.
** Take two: In the aftermath of her defeat, Paige would take on a disingenuous yies shtick with AJ heading into match number three at Battleground, which AJ won again. Cue the next night's vicious attack by Paige to complete the two's FaceHeelDoubleTurn, while still continuing the FriendlyEnemy game to keep AJ on her toes for subsequent attacks. When they clashed for the fourth time at Wrestling/SummerSlam, Paige introduced a new sensuous-to-brutal-and-back side of herself which can be said to be similar to that of characters such as Wrestling/Goldust, deliberately designed to throw her opponents off their game. Paige would beat AJ to take the title back again that night. It's notable that through this whole phase AJ merely played along with her games while still seeing through them. Normally this would be a recipe for getting oneself blindsided; however, as AJ is the genuine cloudcuckoolander of the two, Paige edged closer and closer to a VillainousBreakdown every time AJ "reciprocated" her advances. Once again, this led to Paige losing her title back to AJ a month later, after which she'd abandon the scheme.
* ManlyTears: Well, Womanly Tears, anyway. Like Wrestling/TheMiz before her, when she won her first big title, she pretty much broke character and burst into tears. Addressed in her backstage interview after winning, saying "Usually, Paige is very angry and stuff, but this is the most overwhelming experience of my life."
* MinionWithAnFInEvil: Portia Perez hinted at it while observing Britani's work as a manager and how she wasn't taking the "obvious" openings to attack Allison Danger while the referee was distracted.
* MistreatmentInducedBetrayal: Saraya and Britani Knight were tag-team partners as the heel team of the Knight Dynasty. However, their repeated losses - especially Britani's - frustrated Saraya, who blamed Britani for each loss... which resulted in Saraya abandoning Britani to then tag team champions Ayako Hamada and Ayumi Kurihara in an effort to get her to take things more seriously. Britani had had enough when, after she lost to Jessie McKay, Sweet Saraya IHaveNoSon disowned Britani as her daughter and slapped her. Britani in turn disowned Saraya as her mother and hit her back, prompting an impromptu brawl that required other wrestlers to step in to drag them apart. It's hard to classify it as a "betrayal" considering what happened, but her mother's mistreatment was certainly the catalyst of Britani's face turn and she did turn against her.
* MsFanservice: Since coming up to the WWE main roster, she's eschewed some of her "anti diva" ways and has partaken in some photo shoots and such.
* MysteriousPast: She invoked this trope in her first promo: "So many things the NXT Universe wants to know about Paige... but the less you know about me, the better."
* NicknamingTheEnemy: Has a tendency to call Nikki Bella "My li'l pumpkin" in promos. Hmmm...
* NonIndicativeName: The "Anti-Diva" RedBaron, as elaborated in RuleAbidingRebel below, is really only "Anti" to Divas in the same sense as "Anti-Hero" (and she's been that too) is "Anti" to heroes. This might be why the nickname is now largely shelved in favor of referring to her as "The Diva of Tomorrow". And given that the progression of WWE's lady wrestlers has resulted in WWE beginning to phase out the term "Diva" entirely (along with the Championship itself!), it appears WWE will have to think up a different RedBaron for her if and when she returns to prominence.
* NoSell: A variation. She has a tendency to only sell her face, despite being hit somewhere else. (Wrestling/Neidhart was the same way.)
* NoSenseOfPersonalSpace: Part of Paige's heel persona is that she has started getting touchy-feely with her opponents in the ring. Mostly with AJ, but on August 18, 2014's Wrestling/WWERaw, Paige also grabbed Natalya from behind, stood real close, and started whispering something into her ear while touching her face. In a Main Event match against Natalya, she approached from behind and gave Nattie a long Winter-esque lick on the face. Total Divas portrays the moments with Nattie as her intentionally pissing Nattie off to get her to fight harder while giving fans something to talk about.
* OddFriendship:
** With Emma, off and on.
** With Wrestling/AliciaFox during their time as a TagTeam, lots of emphasis on the "Odd" part. According to Series/TotalDivas, this extends to RealLife with the addition of Wrestling/RosaMendes to the mix.
* PerkyGoth: As a face. Definitely so on Total Divas.
* PowerStable: Served one of the valets for the Devil's Playboys when they went through The WAW and Herts & Essex.
* PowerTrio:
** Part of the three-woman stable Team PCB with Wrestling/Flair and Wrestling/BeckyLynch, who were brought up from NXT by Wrestling/StephanieMcMahon herself to even the odds in Paige's struggle against Team Bella (the Wrestling/BellaTwins plus Wrestling/AliciaFox).
** In 2017, Absolution, with Wrestling/MandyRose and Wrestling/SonyaDeville.
** In AEW, The Outcasts, with Ruby Soho and Wrestling/ToniStorm.
* Pun:
** In the names of her Finishing Moves: She uses a swinging leg hook fireman's carry slam called the "[=Paige=]-Turner" and a Cloverleaf leglock variation called the "Ram-[=Paige=]." The former became the Knight-Cap in AEW, and the latter was originally called the Knight Light while she was still Britani Knight - keeping the trope intact.
** She named the modified Scorpion Crosslock the 'Paige Tap Out', or PTO. PTO also stands for 'Please Turn Over', continuing the page theme.
* PurpleIsPowerful: Her first WWE ring outfit, a purple top with matching shorts. The purple matches Paige's dark, mysterious, and badass persona, and suits her EeriePaleSkinnedBrunette appearance. Likewise purple is now part of her logo and is featured on her t-shirts.
* TheQuietOne: Aside from her initial debut when she came out to congratulate Wrestling/AJLee, Paige really didn't do any talking on the main roster. She was eventually put on commentary for a Wrestling/Wrestler v. Wrestling/AliciaFox match on the 6/23/2014 episode of RAW, but even then, she didn't say much, even with Wrestling/Cameron - who was also on commentary - constantly trying to goad her. Then again, Cameron was talking so much that Paige might have just given up on giving actual commentary on the match as a lost cause, in favor of watching the match and ignoring Cameron as much as she could get away with. Eventually Trope when Wrestling/AJLee came back to reclaim her title and Paige started doing more mic work, incidentally marking a FaceHeelDoubleTurn for both Divas.
* RealWomenDontWearDresses: Pretty much the point of her 'Anti-Diva' character. Until her 2014 heel turn, the character didn't have much depth beyond "cheer for me because I'm not feminine". She and AJ Lee invoked this against the Bella Twins, claiming they weren't 'real' women. Became partly defied when she became [=SmackDown=] GM replacing the recently-cleared Daniel Bryan, as she started appearing on TV in high heels (which before then were limited to certain photo shoots).
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: As Smackdown GM, a distinct contrast from the often-bumbling leadership of Wrestling/KurtAngle and the sheer TyrantTakesTheHelm nature of Wrestling/BaronCorbin on Raw.
* RedBaron: In WWE and assorted properties, she has been nicknamed "The Anti-Diva", "The Mysterious Raven-Haired Lady", "Miss Hell in Boots", and "The Diva of Tomorrow".
* TheRival:
** During their time in the FWA and WAW academies, Zak Zodiac and Britani spent a bit of time alternating between teaming up with and competing against their parents, ditto in Premier. During a crossover between FWA and WAW Saraya Knight wrestled the Norfolk Dolls to a time limit draw! For that matter, the Norfolk Dolls themselves alternated between teammates and opponents.
** Jetta of the Legion Of Womb and International Home Wrecking Crew was a frequent opponent to Britani Knight individually, as one half of the Knight Dynasty and as half of the Norfolk Dolls. Jetta would pass the torch, putting off retirement to have one last match with Britani in Pro Wrestling Eve.
** Britani was one of the first obstacles in the career of London INC's Amazon and a recurring pest of the Decent Society's Blue Nikita.
* RoguesGallery:
** Wrestling/SummerRae, starting when Paige accidentally bumped into Summer (who was the ring announcer), and Summer attacked her for it. Like Summer's push in general, this was much stronger in developmental, though they have faced each other occasionally on the main roster. (In real life, they're best friends.)
** Wrestling/TaminaSnuka, following Paige's taking the title off Wrestling/AJLee, but their feud ended after Paige beat her at 2014's Extreme Rules.
** Wrestling/AliciaFox was built up as Paige's new rival, but their feud ended after Paige beat her at Payback. They had a side-feud after their alliance against Wrestling/AJLee crashed and burned thanks to Alicia accidentally costing Paige a title match and Paige beating her up for it.
** Next came Wrestling/TheFunkadactyls. Of the two, Wrestling/Wrestler was more on par with Paige in terms of in-ring ability and became her first WorthyOpponent on the main roster while Wrestling/Cameron was much more a nuisance who pissed Paige off more than anything. Paige's feud with them ended after Paige beat Naomi in a title match at 2014's Money in the Bank, when rising tension between the Funkadactyls causing the two to feud with each other rather than keep focusing on Paige.
** The most well-known example is Wrestling/AJLee, Paige's "frenemy." A good chunk of 2014 saw them playing hot potato with the title.
** The Wrestling/BellaTwins, more specifically Nikki, in early 2015.
* RosesAreRedVioletsAreBlue: Towards Wrestling/AJLee:
-->Roses are red,\\
Wood chips are beige\\
I'm sorry I pushed you\\
Right off this stage
: : She then continued with:
-->It's not like I hate you\\
I like you a bunch!\\
But you just have that face\\
That I wanna punch\\
\\
I'll see you this Sunday!\\
But this part is vital\\
I'll be skipping my way out of [=SummerSlam=]\\
With my Divas Title
* RuleAbidingRebel: Calling herself the 'Anti-Diva' and claiming to defy the usual standards for females in WWE. Yet the only un-Divaish thing about her is the lack of tan and styled hair - which serves to give her an UnkemptBeauty and RavenHairIvorySkin. So she's essentially still providing Fanservice in a different hipster sort of way. She's also now providing LesYay in her feud with AJ Lee and crawling suggestively over her opponents in matches.
** TheArtifact: it's a remnant of her more destructive character from before the first NXT Takeover.
* ScreamingWarrior:
** In Britani's case, it was the screaming of an impatient teen frustrated at not getting her way.
** Paige usually lets out a BattleCry before and during matches.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: She wisely fled the ring after Wrestling/Kane interrupted her match with Brie Bella and tried to abduct Brie.
* SharedFamilyQuirks: Britani seems to have developed her own antagonism toward Wrestling/CheerleaderMelissa and Wrestling/ChristinaVonEerie without any help from her mother. Not that Sweet Saraya was uninterested in the former case (remembering ChickFight VII very well)-- she just made it worse. Like Saraya, Britani also loved low blows. And though it was a loss to Wrestling/MercedesMartinez that convinced Saraya her daughter was too interested in goofing off Saraya herself would end up budding up with Martinez for a show.
* ShippingTorpedo: Saraya's made it clear that she vehemently disapproves of fellow Outcasts member, Ruby Soho, dating Angelo Parker, and will interfere anyway she can whenever the two get close.
* ShoutOut: Her wrestling name is taken from a Series/Charmed1998 character.
* SignatureMove: Britani's were a rope hung Boston crab, a sidekick called Stan Lane and a basement dropkick.
* SignificantAnagram: Britani was an anagram of 'Britain', according to her mother.
* SkipOfInnocence: Copied from Wrestling/AJLee to psych her out during their feud.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: Her actions as Smackdown Live![='=]s General Manager led to the creation of "The Man". She booked a Triple Threat match where the champion Wrestling/Carmella would face Becky and Wrestling/CharlotteFlair for Wrestling/Summerslam 2018. At the end of said match, with Charlotte stealing the victory and the championship from her hands at the last minutes of the match, and feeling that everything she worked for has been stolen again, Becky turned heel on Charlotte, and their friendship was destroyed. This, in turn, would lead to the revamp of Becky as a Wrestling/StoneColdSteveAustin-like character (with the audience refusing to boo her), a series of well-received matches against Charlotte (including a four-and-three-quarter-star-rated Last Man Standing match at WWE Evolution), the Twitter feud with Creator/RondaRousey, Becky being injured by Wrestling/NiaJax in the Raw go-home episode for Wrestling/SurvivorSeries 2018 (and the resulting injury from Nia's botch making Becky look like a warrior), Becky being left out of SS due to said injury, and the main event of Wrestling/WrestleMania 35 being changed from Ronda vs. Charlotte into a Triple Threat match with Becky inserted as a challenger between the two champions in a "Winner Takes All" match... which she won, resulting in Becky being the first Women's Champion holding both the Raw and Smackdown Women's titles at the same time and becoming the new face of the WWE's "New Era". Oh, and if that wasn't enough, in RealLife, her new persona being called "The Man" led to a series of Twitter quips with Wrestling/SethRollins, who also called himself "The Man"... and who eventually not only would become Becky's boyfriend, later upgraded to husband, but also the father of her child.
* SoundtrackDissonance: "Stars in the Night" fit Paige's stone-cold badass gimmick beautifully, but was increasingly less fitting the more her demeanor lightened up, starting with the time she began acting like AJ Lee. The contrast between music and character was made painfully obvious whenever Paige would do her AJ skip.
* SpeakIllOfTheDead: She infamously mocked (in character, of course) Reid Flair's death to get under Wrestling/Flair's skin.
* StalkerWithACrush: Her debut in FCW indicated that she had some sort of vested interest in Wrestling/SethRollins, but this characterization for Paige was phased out fairly quickly. Her description on Wrestling/ChrisJericho's podcast of the promos Wrestling/DustyRhodes had her practicing in developmental confirm that it was meant to be a romantic angle.
* StudentAndMasterTeam: She's been in both sides of the trope.
** She was originally trained by her family and tagged with them for most of her early career.
** She lead a PowerTrio called Absolution prior to her retirement consisting of herself, Wrestling/MandyRose, and Wrestling/SonyaDeville. She mentored the two during Season 5 of Wrestling/WWEToughEnough.
* SupermodelStrut: Combined with UnflinchingWalk near the end of the trailer for Wrestling/SummerSlam 2014, Paige is seen doing a sensuous strut towards the camera as a car explodes behind her.
* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome:
** So TheAce, a vicious, antisocial prodigy with a knack for beating down anyone she judges to be an acceptable target, debuts on WWE as the first female NXT champion and ends up taking on Wrestling/AJLee. She wins, and accomplishes four things at once: first, she becomes the first Diva to be both NXT Women's and WWE Divas champion; second, she becomes the youngest ever Divas champion; third, she prevents AJ from reaching the 300-day milestone; and fourth, she's the one to finally vanquish the widely-despised AJ. (Also add to this that night before, at Wrestling/WrestleMania XXX, they all had a shot at AJ's title in the form of the "Wrestling/VickieGuerrero Invitational", and failed yet again.) As the champion, she brutally beats down everyone who goes up against her, and doesn't even attempt to make friends. So how do the Divas react to this triumphant young upstart who walked in out of nowhere, did everything they couldn't and hasn't even tried to fit in? They loathe her. Prior to Team PCB's formation in summer 2015, only three exceptions to this rule have existed:
*** Emma, whom Paige has known since at least NXT and whom Paige pointed to as one of her friends in a WWE App promo. That relationship's been on and off depending on alignment, with Paige once hilariously "proposing" to Emma to be her tag team partner by promising she won't attack her.
*** Wrestling/Wrestler, who developed a mutual grudging respect with Paige, as the two match up rather well competitively speaking. This lasted until Paige won a #1 Contender's battle royal, causing Naomi to snap and pull a violent FaceHeelTurn on Paige after being shafted to the side.Naomi had pinned Divas Champ Nikki Bella three times in the past two months at that point, so from her perspective the battle royal should've never been booked.
*** Irony None other than Wrestling/AJLee herself, who went on to have the infamous "Frenemies" feud with Paige over the Divas title. Their affable enmity eventually turned into mutual respect and an actual friendship after both had to contend with the Wrestling/BellaTwins' games for months, leading to the two beating the Bellas in a tag match at Wrestling/WrestleMania 31. AJ retired shortly afterwards.
** Used again during her feud with the Wrestling/BellaTwins when, in desperate need of allies to put things on an even playing field, she turns to the other Divas — and finds that not one of them will help her because they still have issues with her. In fact, the Bellas manage to convince one, Wrestling/AliciaFox, to join up with them against Paige, and Wrestling/Wrestler and Wrestling/Snuka outright hate both sides and opt to become the third option in the feud.
*** This lasts all the way up until July 2015, when Wrestling/StephanieMcMahon introduces three of NXT's "Four Horsewomen": Wrestling/Flair, Wrestling/BeckyLynch—the two of whom join up with Paige and form the trio later known as PCB—and Wrestling/SashaBanks, who links up with Naomi and Tamina as Team BAD. Despite Stephanie putting herself in the position of officially placing the trios together, Charlotte and Becky have plenty of reason to be exceptions to the "Everybody Hates Paige" rule. They both came from NXT like she did, Charlotte was Paige's successor as longtime NXT Champion and WildCard Ace of the women's division there, and Becky's been a friend of hers since the independent days and even came back to wrestling after three years off by first managing her and her mother for awhile.
*** And then the trope revisits itself, but also as an inversion. After PCB wins a three-way team elimination match at Wrestling/SummerSlam that gets retroactively turned into a "victor gets the spoils" thing where the winning team gets to vie for a chance at a title shot, Paige comes up short in the Beat the Clock challenge thanks to Team BAD saving Wrestling/SashaBanks, allowing Charlotte to become #1 contender. Over the next few weeks Charlotte gets her title shot pushed to before Night of Champions in an attempt to stop Nikki from breaking AJ's record, ends up winning by DQ thanks to the Bellas' Twin Magic hijinks and getting another shot at Night of Champions anyway. Meanwhile, Paige's already dismal record against Sasha Banks on the main roster keeps getting worse as she and Becky Lynch are repeatedly frustrated by Team BAD. Come Night of Champions, Charlotte, clad in new gear including a top that says WOOOO, beats Nikki for the title, then celebrates with her father Wrestling/RicFlair as well as her teammates. So what happens when Paige, the nominally anti-social, headstrong, and increasingly bratty and frustrated prodigy with "This is MY HOUSE!" as a catchphrase who has a case to claim that she started the Divas Revolution in more ways than one, has to stand and witness her NXT successor whose identity is essentially "I'm the daughter of a wrestling god" standing on top with the championship she honestly expected to regain off the back of this new movement? She goes scorched earth, buries Charlotte's lack of an identity, and absolutely tears into every other non-executive woman on the roster.
* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: Her relationship with Wrestling/AJLee in their feud is a PG version of Wrestling/MickieJames and Wrestling/TrishStratus' infamous feud, with AJ as Trish and Paige as Mickie.
* TagTeam:
** (in Europe): The Norfolk Dolls, with Melodi.
** (in Wrestling/SHIMMER): The Knight Dynasty, with her mother, 'Sweet' Saraya Knight.
** (in FCW) The Anti-Diva Army, with Sofia Cortez, the two of them being suspiciously similar substitutes for Serena Deeb.
** (in WWE) Formed unnamed ones with Wrestling/AliciaFox, Wrestling/Neidhart, and even Wrestling/AJLee as necessary.
* TomboyWithAGirlyStreak: She likes rock music and drinking, as well as dressing tomboyishly sometimes. But she also still loves make-up and cute animals and is very much a PerkyGoth in real life.
* TookALevelInKindness: After winning the Divas Championship. Unfortunately, combined with the more formulaic nature of her matches on the main roster, she seemingly became a LighterAndSofter version of herself.
* TournamentArc: She's had a few.
** Britani had been in a few but the first she won was small, a four-person tournament on June 20th 2010 for The World Association Of Wrestling, knocking off Sweet Saraya in the finals.
** The first one that got her a belt was during September of the next year for Pro Wrestling Eve, denying Nikki Storm in the finals and becoming the promotion's first champion.
** Was crowned the first NXT Women's Champion after beating Emma.
* UnderestimatingBadassery:
** Seemed to be a common theme with the Divas, as they repeatedly wrote Paige off as some rookie who got a fluke win. Most notably, Wrestling/AJLee took her too lightly and lost her first Divas Championship because of it. Wrestling/Cameron in particular tended to look down on Paige; she repeatedly called Paige a rookie, despite Paige having a damn sight more experience than her—which is canon, too, with Michael Cole & JBL outright referring to Paige's real-life background as a part of a WrestlingFamily—and insists Paige's victories over herself are flukes, though Paige says it happening more than once shows that they were anything but.
** Since Booker T replaced Jerry Lawler on the RAW announce team at the start of 2015, Booker routinely referred to Paige as a rookie each week despite Paige's background of essentially growing up in a wrestling ring thanks to being part of a WrestlingFamily being long established on WWE television; and even ignoring that, Paige was already a two time Divas champion by the time Booker joined the announce team.
* UnflinchingWalk: Paige strutting away from an exploding car without looking back in the Wrestling/SummerSlam 2014 trailer.
* UrExample:
** First Pro Wrestling Eve Champion, after wrestling five matches in 28 hours, which as got Britani Knight a case of glandular fever.
** Became the first NXT Women's Champion after coming out on top in a tournament, and was the first Diva to simultaneously hold the NXT Women's Championship and the WWE Divas Championship after beating Wrestling/AJLee in an unscheduled title match.
* UseYourHead: Her signature moves include a wide variety of headbutts, whether she would deliver them normally, in tandem with her PCB partner Becky Lynch, by grabbing her opponent's hair and hitting a series of headbutts, or by crawling on top of her before doing the same thing.
* VerbalTic: During her run in WWE as an active competitor, she had a tendency to facetiously refer to other female wrestlers as "baby girl."
* VillainousFriendship: With Wrestling/AliciaFox for a short time. At least according to her -- Paige turned on her pretty quick when Alicia made an honest mistake and cost her the Divas Championship.
* WeUsedToBeFriends: Faced her FCW teammate Sofia Cortez on her first NXT match.
* WildCard: Fans cheer for her, but as a character she's not exactly bosom buddies with the other face Divas. Thus, face or heel as the plot demands.
* WorkedShoot: The night after Night of Champions 2015, she utterly destroyed Wrestling/Flair's Divas Championship celebration in a FaceHeelTurn promo which started with her bitter envy at Charlotte winning the title that she felt belonged to her, continued on by blasting her own longtime friend Becky Lynch as being irrelevant, then went on to verbally burn every other woman in the company. In the process, she managed to call out many of the issues fans have been seeing with the Divas Revolution and the main roster Divas in general from the perspective of staying within the kayfabe: the Bellas being seen as holding the division back with political favor from the front office, Becky being pigeonholed as the wacky plus-one with limited depth, Charlotte being a placeholder champion with "Ric Flair's daughter" as seemingly the full extent of her gimmick, Team BAD being the underbilled sassy black girls team, Wrestling/Neidhart being excluded to the point of invisibility, and even non-wrestlers Wrestling/SummerRae and Lana being reduced to catfighting repeatedly over the same two guys in a purely soap opera angle which undermines all talents and characters involved.
* WorthyOpponent:
** Accelerated Britani and her mum's split in the USA. The disappointment was obviously there when they failed to take the SHIMMER tag belts from the Seven Star Sisters but Britani could only fake it with Wrestling/MercedesMartinez, expressing in an interview how happy she was just to have a match with her.
** Once acknowledged Wrestling/SashaBanks as this on NXT, until Sasha turned out to be a rather sore loser. The same would repeat itself on the main roster with Wrestling/Wrestler. When Sasha, Charlotte and Becky were called up to the main roster, Sasha would be the only one of the three to not team up with Paige, instead aligning herself with Naomi and Wrestling/Tamina.
* WrestlingFamily: Her entire family wrestle as the Knights. In fact, her mother apparently had no idea she was pregnant with Paige and wrestled up to her sixth month. Paige was literally in the ring before she was even born.
