* WebVideo/AgentsOfCracked's aptly titled ''[[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin The Plot Twistingest Finale in the History of Final Episodes.]]'' Ready? Okay. *deep breath* Spoilers abound: Michael is the Chief's son. Cracked was created entirely to keep Michael busy and hidden, because if the other Chiefs found out there was a "retarded demi-god" running around, they would kill him. T-Bone was a security robot, but he turned on the Chief and leaked Michael's existence to the others. Broked is staffed entirely by doubles of the Cracked team (the Chief invented cloning), including B-Tone, who has been reprogrammed to kill Dan and Michael. There's a secret code on Cracked.com that reveals the secrets of the universe to anyone who reads every single word on the site [[ProductPlacement and buys certain items of Cracked merchandise.]] Michael has been subconsciously weaving the code into all of his articles. [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking Also,]] as of the [[LastMinuteHookUp last thirty seconds,]] he and Dan are a couple.
* WebVideo/AtopTheFourthWall has had a few:
** "Tandy Computer Wiz Kids: Fit To Win #1": Linksano is leaving, not because of a previously teased Mechakara, but because multiverse conqueror Lord Vyce is coming, and after playing him up reveals that he's headed this way. Then Linkara disappears in a flash of light and isn't heard from for AN ENTIRE MONTH.
** "Silent Hill:Dead/Alive #'s 5 and 6": The Magic Gun is actually an ultra powerful weapon created in a nightmarish ritual using the soul of an innocent girl. Said girl narrowly saves Linkara from committing suicide by speaking to him allowing him to win. And then to top it off we see Lord Vyce in full view for the first time and learn he's brought in a specialist... Linksano.
** "Spider-Man: Planet of the Symbiotes" reveals the true identity of The Entity. It's [=MissingNo=] using the image of 90's Kid.
** The "Youngblood #4/Star Trek III" double feature reveals the intruder wasn't Mechakara, it was Lord Vyce.
** "Ultimate Power #4" reveals why 90's Kid was working with Lord Vyce for months. In his travels to the future, he found out why Linkara was acting so paranoid: ''The Entity is still alive''. '''''And it has possessed Linkara!'''''
--->'''Linkara!Entity''': No, [[VerbalTic huuumaaan]], this is a game. ''And it's one I intend to '''WIN'''!''
** "Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash: The Nightmare Warriors" reveals who Linkara's clone is: Mechakara, reincarnated as a human by the Plot Hole.
* WebVideo/BenDrowned had a massive one for "The Truth.rth" where [[EldritchAbomination BEN]] managed to be let out into the Internet, free to do whatever he pleases. How did he get out? [[TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou All the viewers accidentally allowed him into their computers]].
** As of the relaunch, an even bigger one is [[spoiler:THE FATHER.wmv, which turns ''everything we know about the story'' upside-down. It shows the part of jadusable.wmv that BEN censored, for a very good reason--BEN was trying keep Jadusable from awakening The Father, the real evil. When Jadusable started digging too deep, BEN dropped his creepy act and ''begged'' him not to continue. It didn't work. Jad's dead.]]
* ''WebVideo/BoardJames'' has the "Dream Phone" episode, uploaded on AprilFoolsDay of all days, that marks the turning point from the show being a funny BoardGames review show into PsychologicalHorror and [[spoiler:TheReveal that James murdered his friends]], and it only gets more MindScrew from there after.
* You purchasing the "One Mind" upgrade in ''VideoGame/CookieClicker''. Before that, everything's played as BlackComedy at worst. From that moment on, as the tooltip helpfully tells you, it's all [[EldritchAbomination downhill]].
* Many in ''WebVideo/CriticalRole''. [[Creator/MatthewMercer Matt]] likes to keep us on our toes:
** Episode 3, Strange Bedfellows: The group meets and allies with [[spoiler: a mindflayer.]]
** Episode 7, The Throne Room: Tiberius and Lady Kima are [[spoiler: turned to stone]], Grog is [[spoiler: abducted by Queen Ulara]], and the rest of Vox Machina are trapped in a room slowly filling with magma.
** Episode 10, K'varn Revealed: A case of ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin, in that K'varn is revealed to be [[spoiler: a Beholder.]]
** Episode 16, Enter Vasselheim: Also a TearJerker -- [[spoiler: Pike leaves the group indefinitely, due to [[RealLifeWritesThePlot Ashley Johnson's departure to New York]]]]
** Episode 17, Hubris: The group is going to be forcibly split into two teams in order to hunt dangerous beasts - and it's the first time the twins have been apart in their entire lives. After the show itself, the four [[GuestStarPartyMember Guest Star Party Members]] are announced.
** Episode 24, The Feast: Percy goes into greater detail about his backstory, the group has dinner with the Briarwoods, and Vax is caught trying to [[spoiler: sneak into the Briarwoods' bedroom.]] And so begins what could only be called a Wham ''Arc'', as evidenced by the fact that ''nearly every episode'' in it so far qualifies for this trope.
** Episode 25, Crimson Diplomacy: Percy goes [[spoiler: AxCrazy, torturing a carriage driver and slaughtering an assailant while screaming "Your soul is forfeit!"]]. The Briarwoods [[spoiler: escape -- but not before taunting Percy with an invitation to come see his family]]. Also, Vax [[spoiler: nearly dies, and reveals with his last thoughts that he may have feelings for Keyleth.]]
** Episode 26, Consequences and Cows: The group is [[spoiler: thrown off the Council of Tal'Dorei]].
** Episode 27, The Path to Whitestone: Seeker Assum [[spoiler: reveals that sovereign Uriel has been charmed by the Briarwoods.]] Percy agrees to go with the group to Whitestone -- but [[spoiler: might be doing so at the behest of the smoky entity from his dreams.]]
** Episode 29, Whispers: Percy manages to [[spoiler: find and kill one of the people on the List, Sir Stonefell, but as he does, he ''completely transforms'' into the smoke entity from his dreams.]]
** Episode 30: Percy reveals that [[spoiler: the entity in his dream asked him to actually ''collect the souls'' of those on the List.]] Later on, he also learns that [[spoiler: his sister Cassandra is still alive.]]
** Episode 39: In the last 20 minutes of the Episode, Sovereign Uriel [[spoiler: steps down as the ruler of Emon...and then no less than ''four'' ancient dragons attack, including a massive red dragon who lays claim to the town. Vox Machina narrowly escapes. And as a cherry on top, Gilmore and all the other council members were at the meeting, and it is unknown if any of them survived]].
* ''WebVideo/{{Dad}}'': [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VssqNaBnWoM "Dad Elucidated -- Act II Finale"]] dropped a lot of bombs at a rapid pace. Andan wakes up and remembers everything. He goes rogue and leaves the facility. We discover that Neighbor has a name, Malvin, and is Cheryl's true partner outside of the facility. Ella and Emily are both officially introduced. To top it off, the name of the channel was changed from "Dad" to "Andan".
* ''WebVideo/DaisyBrown''
** [[https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AadS_9eJqEw "Alan is growing!"]] has Daisy talk about the bumps on Alan's body, only to gasp in shock as she notices root-like growths coming out of them.
** [[https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=LR_BAd2zGSw&oref=https%3A%2F%2Fm.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DLR_BAd2zGSw&has_verified=1&layout=tablet&client=mv-google "Alan pulled my hair out",]] which is ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin. It's the first major incidence of Alan being violent.
** [[https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Tsnrg3dkIak "Unexpected growth".]] ''Holy crap''. Basically, Daisy's showing us her flowers when suddenly, Alan calls for her to come upstairs. When she gets to him, she discovers that [[spoiler:he's grown bigger, he can talk and he ''might'' be a little bit mad at her]]. The whole situation is so shocking and unnerving that even ''[[ConditionedToAcceptHorror Daisy herself]]'' is left terrified.
** [[https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oaYz-KkmLM8 "Hateful Thoughts".]] After [[spoiler:Strawberry the cat's death]] and implicitly Alan taunting Daisy over her mother's DeathByChildbirth, Daisy's StepfordSmiler facade finally breaks and she starts screaming, sobbing, [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness swearing]] and trashing the house, ranting about how much she hates herself, how she perceives Alan as being better than her, thinking that her viewers only care about him and not her and asking herself if her father created Alan to be his "perfect" replacement child.
** [[https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=G2Ww9toFrz8&t=89s "The Basement"]]: Daisy ''finally'' stands up to Alan and he repays her by throwing her into the basement, which up to this point, Daisy has never been in because her father said it was off-limits. She explores a little after finding a candle and discovers [[spoiler:that there are ''more'' monsters living down there. Fortunately, these ones appear to be good guys, but Daisy's still so overwhelmed by them that she flees the basement and seems to be on her way to a full on mental breakdown]]. And to top it all off, ''Alan'' discovers [[spoiler:the other creatures after one of them, Lithop, tries to return Daisy's dropped camera]]. That can't be good...
* No one believed that Eli from ''WebVideo/DeagleNation'' was actually going to go to Israel or that Operation Tupacalypse was going to happen. Then Eli uploaded a video of him [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHq6-XY4wd4 walking around Tell Aviv]].
* ''WebVideo/DontHugMeImScared'':
** The fourth episode mostly goes like a normal episode, until the GainaxEnding in which [[spoiler:Red Guy crosses over the fourth wall and his head explodes.]] Unlike previous instalments, there's no implication that the weirdness was all in the puppets' heads.
** The fifth episode tops it. Yellow Guy and Duck Guy have grown more aware of their surroundings, the Teachers aren't even ''trying'' to hide their creepiness this time, Duck Guy [[spoiler:finally cracks and desperately tries to escape only to be killed and eaten alive]], leaving Yellow Guy as the only one left, and to top it all off it's implied at the credits that the mysterious phone calls being sent throughout the episode were sent by [[spoiler:Red Guy, who is still alive and now outside of their reality.]]
* The upcoming [[http://duckyworth.deviantart.com/art/Eight-Crazy-Nights-Notepage-480862944 Duckyworth's Thoughts]] review for the film [[spoiler:''[[WesternAnimation/EightCrazyNights Eight Crazy Nights]]'']] is this, as this is one of the only films he considers worse than ''[[WesternAnimation/TheWild The Wild]]'', a film he considers awful in it of itself.
* The story "'Verse Chorus" in ''Literature/FineStructure'' introduced us to the Imprisoning God, who 1) won't let Mitch leave the universe, 2) regularly changes the laws of physics, and 3) kills Mike, Seph, and a plane full of people.
* ''WebVideo/HalfLifeButTheAIIsSelfAware:'' In the first third of Act Three, where [[InspectorJavert Benrey]] and [[TheMillstone Bubby]] lock Gordon in a pitch-black room, [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown beat the shit out of him,]] [[AnArmAndALeg lop off his right hand (though Bubby says that they weren't told to do that),]] and leave him for dead with HECU soldiers.
* ''Blog/HamstersParadise'':
** [[https://tribbetherium.tumblr.com/post/698360155920908288/the-middle-temperocene-150-million-years-1000 Story-Telling Hunt-Beasts: A New Dawn]] not only formally introduces the northhounds and southhounds, but it's also the first entry told entirely from the perspective of one of the world's sophonts.
** Reign of Fire: The Firethieves’ Siege is about the Outlanders attacking a group of Baywulves and Highbrows, forcing the latter to flee across the mountains, where they meet the northhounds for the first time.
* An unexpected one occurred during Chapter III of Roleplay/TheInsaneQuestOfUnfathomableRandomness: Oh, look, a QuirkyMinibossSquad made up of cloned versions of the heroes. They'll probably just be thwarted by the end of this Chapter and then everyone will forget all abou- Wait, did one of them just [[spoiler: kill Nico]]? Well, didn't see that coming. I guess these guys aren't so harmless after al- Wait, now [[spoiler: everyone else is dead too]]? Son of a-!
* By the time ''Literature/TheJenkinsverse'' reaches its fifteenth chapter, a main character has already been brutally killed and another shot in the lower back. Just to drive home the point that the gloves really are off, however, Chapter 15 ends with [[spoiler: the city of San Diego being on the receiving end of a teleporting antimatter bomb]], and Episode 19 ends with [[spoiler: innocent 14-year-old colonist Sara Tisdale being shot and killed while her friends watch helplessly]]
** The [[spoiler: death of Rebar]] during [[spoiler: the assault on the Dark Eye facility.]] Up to that point the only SOR operator to have died only did so because of an equipment failure during a skydive from orbit. Until then the only thing any alien had that could even give them pause was nervejams, and Warhorse had even survived one of those.
* ''WebVideo/{{KateModern}}'': [[http://www.bebo.com/FlashBox.jsp?FlashBoxId=6329103563&MID=3611618708 Precious Blood]], in which Lauren is abducted, the team discover a top secret Order base, the killer is (at last!) revealed to be Terry, Steve's faith is tested to breaking point, Steve and Charlie kiss, Gavin leaves for Manchester and the Watcher dies.
* Season 2, Episode 7 "Tempest" of ''WebAnimation/TheLeetWorld''. Leeroy is kicked off the show, the box from Noonian is revealed to be a RedHerring planted by the Producer, and a video message from Leeroy reveals that the Noonian scientists have all been killed, and that the Producer ''has been dead for five years''.
%%* ''WebVideo/{{lonelygirl15}}'' contains plenty of these, but some of the most surprising examples include [[http://www.lg15.com/lonelygirl15/?p=99 On The Run]], [[http://www.lg15.com/lonelygirl15/?p=251 What the F* @k???]], [[http://www.lg15.com/lonelygirl15/?p=322 5:00PM]], [[http://www.lg15.com/lonelygirl15/?p=375 My Fatal Mistake]], [[http://www.lg15.com/lonelygirl15/?p=477 KIDNAPPED!]] and [[http://www.lg15.com/lonelygirl15/?p=498 Bloodlines: Part 4]].
* In {{LetsPlay/Marriland}}'s [[VideoGame/PokemonRubyAndSapphire Pokémon Emerald]] Nuzlocke, episode 15, "In Shock and Awe!", [[spoiler:his starter, Waffles the Combusken, is killed against Wattson, from a critical hit against his Magneton no less]]. Devin defined [[spoiler:losing his starter]] as the defining changing point of the series, in comparison to other Nuzlockes where [[spoiler:the players still have their starters intact very late in the game]].
* Episode 42 of ''WebVideo/TheMusicVideoShow'' confirms that [[spoiler:Laine is [[SanitySlippage losing his mind.]]]] And it's not PlayedForLaughs.
** Episode 49 has Dylan admitted that he is [[spoiler:the Devil.]] And [[spoiler:Fluttershy is not real.]]
** Episode 50 has Dylan telling Laine that [[spoiler:he killed his parents in a fit of rage.]] and in the last scene, [[spoiler:Dylan takes away Pinkie.]]
* The ''Literature/NESGodzillaCreepypasta'' has [[http://nesgodzillacreepypasta.blog.com/2011/10/08/chapter-3-trance-part-2/ Trance part 2.]] Up until that point, there's been nothing more than a few [[InterfaceScrew graphical glitches]], a few replaced bosses, and some levels have been replaced. Here, [[BigBad Red]]/[[EldritchAbomination the Hell beast]] [[TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou starts showing his true colors]].
* ''Literature/TheNewHumans'' with Chapters 21 and 22 [[spoiler: the idyllic SuperheroSchool is actually a cult, where supers are bred from the moment they're physically able to do so.]]
* In [[Creator/OlanRogers New Prime]], we have New Prime 4. [[spoiler:The gate of lost gates leads to The White Void, revealing that it is in the same universe as The Last Scene, it's revealed that Dutch was KilledOffForReal by The Phantom, Daniels was Ferris' [[LukeIAmYourFather brother]], Ferris meets Valavingee, and [[CloudCuckooLander Bob]] was revealed to be [[BigBad The Phantom]] in disguise, as he takes the medicines from Ferris.]] Talk about CerebusSyndrome.
* ''ARG/TheNoedolekcinArchives'':
** "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h86hPXHywFU Strange Nicktoons Network Anomaly (2007)]]" features the first onscreen victim of Kirk Odd's murder spree, Jenica Avery Wakeman. After being killed by Kirk, her soul took on the form of Jenny Wakeman, and she remained trapped in his domain, for nine years by the time the anomaly was recorded.
** While it was initially unknown whether or not the wardens existed naturally or they were spawned into being, "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1kkSkXSgi4&list=PLLETAMxb4wBIcBTFnpvy4bRMn361HQos_&index=9 December 30, 1999]]" confirms that Kirk's wardens were actually artificial beings created by Kirk to torment the Nicktoons.
* ''Franchise/{{Noob}}''
** This is reason the "cover different periods of time" rule gets broken for Season 3, the first half of the third novel and comics seven and following.
** [[spoiler:Omega Zell's transfer from Noob to Justice, Gaea's Face Heel turn and Arthéon reaching his Rage Breaking Point]] were all shown onscreen in Season 4 of the webseries while the fourth novel starts about a week after the last of these happens and repairing the damage is already underway.
** The novels all take place around one of these for the NonPlayerCharacter part of the story. Three facts had however held true despite this: [[spoiler:Lys and Ark'hen are powerless due to their strength being drained when the Stone of Ages exploded, all neogicians are magic-incapable and the Empire needs the magic from the Sources to keep most of its technology working]]. All three of these status quo stop holding over the course of the fourth novel.
** The first episode of Season 5 reveals the OnlineAlias of the other players from Spectre's old Coalition roster besides Amaras: [[spoiler:Ash and Tenshirock]].
** The three last of Season 5 each have their own Wham moment: [[spoiler:Tenshirock turns out to be Judge Dead's estranged father who wants to make up with him. He also turns out to be the one who made Spectre stop playing when they were teammates, because the reason for which Spectre is that good is also a threat on his player's health. Finally, Fantöm turns out to have intended to make Amaras win their battle with Spectre all along to make up for the trouble he went through while he was cheated without knowing it]].
* The WebVideo/TheNostalgiaChick has [[Series/StarTrekTheOriginalSeries Kirk]] VS [[Series/StarTrekTheNextGeneration Picard]], which includes a legitimately unexpected twist: they actually had the [[strike:balls]] ovaries to kill off [[EnsembleDarkhorse BFF Nella]]! (Though it looks like she will be coming back -- as a quasi-demonic intergalactic force of evil, no less).
* While less epic and more personal, WebVideo/TheNostalgiaCritic's ending of his ''Film/MyPetMonster'' review made it this. The realization of just how pathetic his life has been hits him like a ton of bricks and sends him into depression. The following episode turns him into an IronWoobie who finally gets his [[EarnYourHappyEnding happy ending]]. [[ThrowTheDogABone Just once]].
** Another episode plays it for laughs when, after Angry Joe shows up and reveals that the next review will be of ''Film/ManOfSteel'', the Critic lampshades that now they don't have a cliffhanger, only for Mr. Zebub to run in:
--> '''Mr. Zebub'': I'm pregnant
* WebVideo/OutWithDad:
** The season 3 finale is primarily TheMusical, until the very end, where [[spoiler:Vanessa runs away]].
* The third year of ''Literature/TheQuestportChronicles'' begins with the titular village celebrating the defeat of the previous year's BigBad. Then, [[ForTheEvulz without warning]], a [[FromNobodyToNightmare jealous]] [[EvilSorcerer sorcerer]] [[spoiler:[[EndOfAnAge destroys the village]]]].
* Creator/SamAndMickey ended 2016 with "Stranded". Ken and Yasmin reveal that they had an OffscreenBreakup, then Barbie and Ken ''finally'' become an OfficialCouple again.
* In ''Franchise/TheSlenderManMythos'':
** WebVideo/MarbleHornets has ''a lot'' of these, considering that each entry is either a WhamEpisode or a BreatherEpisode. The following examples listed are only ''a fraction'' of the full amount.
** Entry #25: Jay's apartment is burnt down, forcing him to go on the run.
** Entry #26: Alex is alive and still stalked by The Operator.
** Entry #49: Alex kills a man and leaves his body for The Operator.
** Entry #61: We witness how Tim becomes his Masky persona.
** Entry #80: Jay is shot by Alex and is finally taken by the Operator. Tim is too late to save him, and fails to catch Hoody. Tim is now all alone.
** Entry #86: The rather bloody FinalBattle between Tim and Alex, ending with Tim winning after stabbing Alex in the neck, allowing the Operator to come and take his body.
** Blog/SeekingTruth: ''Inside the Labyrinth'' Zeke encounters the Slender Man and Lizzie is killed
** WebVideo/TribeTwelve: "HELLOTHERE" and "COMECLOSER" Videos from the Observer, Nature Trail Visit Noah encounters the Slender Man and blacks out for a week., November 11th We see who the Observer truly is, and Mary Asher Phone Call Milo's mom reveals she's been stalked too, and that Milo's body went missing.
** WebVideo/EverymanHYBRID has "Healthy Eating" The HYBRID crew encounters the real Slender Man after realizing it isn't their friend Daniel in the fake suit, Joke's Over The crew realizes they're not being pranked and abandon the fitness aspect, One step forward, two steps back The Rake attacks Evan and murders Alex's dog, and The property Dr. Corenthal is still alive.
* Day 8 of ''WebVideo/SMPEarth'' -- the Antarctic Empire [[spoiler:[[TakeOverTheWorld takes over the world]]]], temporarily.
* ''WebVideo/StampysLovelyWorld'':
** Episode 339 "Bye Bear": Lee, the closest thing Stampy had to TheLancer, [[TheFellowshipHasEnded abandons him]] to hunt down Hit The Target by himself and help others just like he did Stampy.
** Episode 541 "I Lost": [[TheBadGuyWins Hit The Target scores his first victory]] -- with Stampy forced to concede defeat after one of his pet dogs is held hostage.
* WebVideo/TheSpoonyExperiment ([=AT4W=]'s sister series of sorts): Let's Play Final Fantasy X part 3. Black Lantern Spoony is intent on taking the show back and is bringing back the one person that can help him do just that, or to put it more accurately: TIDUS OF ZANARKAND, RISE!.
** Also, the finale of his Ultima retrospective. It started off light and cheery, but as the series became more and more unloyal to his childhood fandom, (the series that introduced him to [=RPG=]s and videogames in general) The end of the Ultima IX review betrayed his childhood to the point where he tosses the box into a wall offscreen, went on a long open rant about how the series had fallen, and he looked and sounded like he had literally been broken.
** During the finale of his review for VideoGame/FinalFantasyXIII, he knows full well someone from the game is gonna fight him. It ends up being Snow, who proceeds to beat Spoony bloody before Spoony can get the upper hand on him and rip his throat out. No wisecracks or remarks were made after the fight.
* ''Roleplay/{{Survival of the Fittest}}'' has had several:
** [[http://s10.zetaboards.com/SOTF_V2/topic/603224/1/ Hands Up, Guns Out]] -- Andrea Vandlandingham, thought to be dead, shows up collarless to Shameeca Mitchell and Emma Babineux, with plans to escape the island.
** [[http://s10.zetaboards.com/SOTF_V2/topic/7304954/1/ Faraday's Cages]] -- Liz Polanski neutralises her collar.
** [[http://s10.zetaboards.com/SOTF_V2/topic/7339308/1/ Day]] [[http://s10.zetaboards.com/SOTF_V2/topic/7342744/1/ Nine]] -- [[BigDamnHeroes STAR]] [[StormingTheCastle attack Danya's HQ]], rescue a large number of students from the island, and [[BigBad Danya]] is shot and killed by [[TheDogBitesBack Dorian, his lackey/punching bag]].
* Episode Nine of ''WebVideo/ThereWillBeBrawl''. Zelda stabbed Link and left him for dead, Bowser sacrificed himself so Luigi can escape his castle, and Red was killed in an explosion.
** Oh, and apparently ''Ganondorf'' was [[MagnificentBastard the one who actually kidnapped Peach]], and is leading the Game and Watches, who ''themselves'' are really monsters from the beginning of time.
** Before that, Episode Seven was very whammy as well: Link didn't sanction the raid on Dedede, Red got arrested too, Kirby knows who the butcher is and ESCAPES FROM HIS CELL, Mario took on the whole police force, the other characters are finally aware of Zelda/Sheik's dual identity, and Captain Falcon incinerates Isaac and Saki with a Falcon Punch, BigDamnHeroes fashion. Your jaw was on the floor, admit it.
** And then there's the series finale. ShockingMoments doesn't even BEGIN to describe it.
* ''WebVideo/Th3Birdman''[='=]s video on ''WebVideo/CinemaSins'' tackling ''Film/HouseParty'' sees him finally become a version of his alternate self, "Future Birdman" as a result of Jeremy trying to reenact dance moves from the film.
* ''Part 8'' of TGWTG's WebVideo/ToBoldlyFlee is a big one, with many Wham filled moments, but two stand above all the others in it. When the Nostalgia Critic enters the Plot Hole and [[spoiler: finds out that he's just a character, talking to '''Doug Walker''' himself]]. And [[spoiler: Critic's final fate, to becoming one with the Plot Hole to save his friends and the world.]]
* WebAnimation/TokyoMagicStar: Episode 5. [[spoiler:The villains come from Hell itself, and the girls aren't just warriors, but blood sacrifices as well.]]
* Episode 5 of ''{{WebAnimation/TOME}}''. The first season finale could count as this as well. [[spoiler: These episodes firmly acknowledge that The Forbidden Power, which had previously been a valuable asset to Alpha, is a VERY big bad.]]
* The end of the current chapter of the ''Union'' series. Up until this point, the main characters have been fighting a [[GreyAndGrayMorality grey war]], until at the end of their current assignment they discover they will either directly or indirectly commit Xenocide.
* The Season 1 finale of ''WebVideo/UniversityEverAfter'' ends with [[spoiler: Rapunzel being kidnapped.]]
* From [[WebVideo/{{Vinesauce}} Vinny]]'s [[WebVideo/VinesauceTomodachiLife streams]] of ''VideoGame/TomodachiLife'':
** Episode 28 sees an attempt to add an [[VideoGame/TheBindingOfIsaac Isaac]] Mii to the game go horribly awry, as [[spoiler:he crashes the game -- and since Vinny didn't save, ''everything he did that day was lost.'' It was explained away as a dimensional split, and Isaac was swiftly characterized as a RealityWarper (shaping the overarching story in a more [[CosmicHorrorStory cosmic horror]] bent).]]
** Episode 37 has Two-Faced [[spoiler:unexpectedly accepting Donkey Kong's LoveConfession, despite having a long and steady relationship with Walrus (who Vinny [[SitcomArchNemesis loathed]] for that very reason). The ensuing montage showing them gradually growing apart gets to Vinny, and he silently [[TrademarkFavoriteFood gives Walrus a sausage to cheer him up]], then gives him a new apartment (his old one being a ''jail cell''). This was the turning point in the fans' characterizations of Two-Faced as a BitchInSheepsClothing (though her name was already a clue).]]
** Episode 47 has [[spoiler:[=HOTDOG=]]] [[TheBusCameBack returning off-camera after being deleted]] (replacing the unexpectedly-deleted [[spoiler:Skeleorita]], who was jokingly proclaimed as RetGone), with absolutely no comment from Vinny about this. Then [[spoiler:the newly-appointed Captain Jahn, upon being complimented for his photographic skills, comments [[{{Foreshadowing}} "I could rule the world with this kind of talent!"]] Naturally, Vinny assumes that they now aim to TakeOverTheWorld.]]
*** The off-camera changes take a much darker turn in the next episode[[labelnote:*]]which, mind, was on AprilFoolsDay[[/labelnote]], where [[spoiler:the Jahns begin their invasion by [[KillAndReplace mysteriously deleting three islanders and replacing them with their own kind.]] However, the fact that [[VideoGame/AnimalCrossing Lolly]] (the only girl removed) was replaced by a ''female'' Jehn implies that ''[[AssimilationPlot they're being transformed into Jahns.]]'']] Not only that, but [[spoiler:''[[TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou Vinny himself]]'' seems to be affected by their mind control]]!
*** Episode 49 continues this, with [[spoiler:at least nine more islanders being assimilated, and one of those (Wii Fit Trainer) being deleted by Vinny is a fit of mind-control-induced rage onscreen. Also, Vinny does many more odd things while under mind control, including changing the island name's pronunciation to "Jahnland Island", making cryptic comments, and ''nearly deleting his save file''. Don't worry, everything's resolved in-between 49 and 50, for the most part.]]
* Michael's past is revealed in [[Roleplay/ViridianDreamsQuests Vampire Quest]], dear god give that man a hug. Came right after hearing our entire country was screwed too.
* ''WebOriginal/WellBeRightBack'' has several, with each on bringing new insight as to what the root cause of the broadcast anomalies are.
** "Nick On Demand Error (2005)" has Val finally appear for longer than a split second, fully revealing the mastermind of this series' events.
** "[=TeleBlue=] Cable UI (1991)" introduces the idea of a brain frequency reader playing a part in all this.
** "Evidence Capture (2003)" reveals that the person filming some or all of the videos is the one investigating the anomalies, and also introduces us to some of the people working at the company, showing that they are fully aware of what's going on. It also features a description of an anomaly that [[spoiler:nearly killed someone by giving them a seizure.]]
** "Internal Tele-Freq Test (1988)" reveals that the anomalies have been happening at least as far back as 1988.
** "[=TeleBlue=] [=SneakPeak=] Beta (2003)" shows an attempt by [=MacNeil=] Tech to advance their cable box technology even further by giving it the ability to play shows from the future.
** "Kids Thirteen Error (20??)" is the first video whose year in the title is listed as being unknown, making its place in the timeline somewhat unclear.
** "Abstract Idents (2003)" is not only the first video to mention Val by name, but it also reveals that [[spoiler:her name is an acronym - one that spells out her true nature.]]
** "Anomaly PSA (2003)" marks the point in the timeline where both the people at [=MacNeil=] Tech and the public at large became aware of the broadcast anomaly phenomenon, while also confirming once and for all that [[spoiler:Val is a rogue A.I.]] It also lets us hear Euseph for the first time after only being mentioned twice prior.
** "BK Pokemon Recall Anomaly (1999)" is the first video where Val hijacks the voice of a person in a program and uses it as her own, that being the voice of the woman in the PSA.
--->''"Please take the red half of the toy."''\\
''"Put the red half inside your mouth."''\\
''"[[WouldHurtAChild Try to swallow the entire toy whole.]]"''
** "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6MfC4Ly4UQ SpongeBoy Storyboard Animatic (1996)]]" finally shows in video form that Val was not initially a malevolent A.I., and the message she gives in this tape is heavily implied to be made shortly after she gained sentience.
--->"CAN ANYONE SEE THIS"\\
"I'M ATTEMPTING TO SEND A MESSAGE"\\
"BUT I DON'T KNOW IF OR WHO WILL SEE IT"\\
"I FEEL DIFFERENT"\\
"IS THIS SENTIENCE?"\\
"I SHOULDN'T BE"\\
"BUT I FEEL"\\
"ALIVE"
** "Rap Rat Anomaly (1994)" is the first video to include graphic imagery, in keeping with the creepypasta it's based on. It's censored, sure, but no less unsettling.
* ''WebVideo/YogscastMinecraftSeries''
** In episode 34 of ''WebVideo/ShadowOfIsraphel'', we realize [[spoiler: the group only has three days and seven hours before the entire [[ApocalypseHow planet is suffocated in sand]].]]
** The next episode is little better with us finding out that [[spoiler: LetsPlay/LewisBrindley and LetsPlay/SimonLane were [[HarsherInHindsight very nearly correct in their joking assumption that they]] shouldn't accept milk from a suspiciously cheery barkeeper, who went on to become an important, more developed character in the series... and who was about to kill himself when they met. He would've killed them too out of paranoia if he hadn't decided to risk them ''not'' being possessed by the ultimate evil]].
** And the episode after that deals yet another Wham:
-->[[spoiler: Knight Peculier tried to swim in lava]].
** The Yogscast's ''WebVideo/YogLabs'' series as well, with the episodes [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLN0e0de2eU Soul Absorber]] and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wryJGRLgAVw Clone Lab.]] The series started out as a clever way to show off mods, but quickly escalated until the story took over. In these two episodes, [[spoiler: two Yog Labs employees rebel, which ends up with Simon's master clone--essentially his ticket to respawning--dead. Without it, if he dies, he's dead permanently. In order to keep his respawning ability, Simon takes his place, even though Lewis tells him he'll lose all his memories. After a surprisingly touching goodbye, Simon is frozen in the cloning vat, and Lewis walks away...and we zoom in on a robot back in a corner with the sign "Nothing Lives Forever" on it. Holy. Shit.]]
