Five years after ''WesternAnimation/TheFlintstones'' ended, a SaturdayMorningCartoon spin-off was created by Creator/HannaBarbera for Creator/{{CBS}} with the two toddlers, Pebbles Flintstone and Bamm-Bamm Rubble, as teenagers. Fred and Barney were relegated to supporting roles, as were Wilma and Betty. Many new characters were introduced, most of them teens who served as friends or {{foil}}s to Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm.

The voice cast included [[Series/AllInTheFamily Sally]] [[WesternAnimation/TaleSpin Struthers]] as Pebbles and [[Series/DennisTheMenace Jay North]] as Bamm-Bamm.
* AllBikersAreHellsAngels[=/=]{{Badass Biker}}s: What the Bronto Bunch are trying to be.
* AlphaBitch[=/=]RichBitch: Cindy Curbstone.
* BlondesAreEvil: Cindy.
* CatchPhrase: "Yabba Dabba Doozie!" (Usually an indication that Pebbles has picked up the IdiotBall again - and often lampshaded by Bamm-Bamm with a HereWeGoAgain.)
* CoolCar: Bamm-Bamm's station wagon.
* DemotedToExtra: Pebbles' and Bamm-Bamm's parents.
* DoesNotWearShoes: As usual for the ''Flintstones'' franchise, the entire cast is constantly barefoot.
* ExpositoryThemeTune
* EyeObscuringHat: Schleprock wears one.
* FakeBand: Pebbles, Bamm-Bamm and their friends have one called the Bedrock Rockers.
* ForgotAboutHisPowers: Bamm-Bamm's SuperStrength is gone without explanation. Though it does reappear just as inexplicably in the late 1990s specials.
* GadgeteerGenius[=/=]TeenGenius: Moonrock.
* GenkiGirl: Pebbles.
* HairDecorations: Pebbles wears a bone in her hair, like before.
* HollywoodToneDeaf: In the episode where Bamm-Bamm has a gorgeous voice, but only when he's singing in the shower. His "bad" voice is a little too exaggerated.[[note]]This is a loose remake of a previous ''Flintstones'' episode.[[/note]]
* IdiotBall: Pebbles usually holds it, so much so that Ed Liu of Toonzone mentions (and links to) the trope in [[http://web.archive.org/web/20100823113054/http://www.toonzone.net/news/articles/22845/the-pebbles-and-bamm-bamm-show-the-modern-stone-age-hannah-montana his review]] of the series.
* {{Jerkass}}: Cindy and her equally snobby boyfriend, Fabian.
* TheJinx: Badluck Schleprock.
* LaughTrack: H-B abandoned the standard prime-time laugh track used at the time and created a cheesy synthetic laugh track for this series, as well as for companion CBS show ''[[WesternAnimation/TheHairBearBunch Help! It's the Hair Bear Bunch!]]''
* NerdGlasses: Moonrock wears them.
* NewAgeRetroHippie: The [[WesternZodiac astrology]]-obsessed Wiggy is an early example.
* NiceHat: Bamm-Bamm, Schleprock and Zonk (one of the Bronto Bunch) all wear them.
* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: "Pebbles' Big Boast" has an appearance by [[Music/TheRollingStones Mick Jagged and the Rolling Jadestones]].
* OnlySaneMan: Bamm-Bamm.
* TheRival: Cindy, to Pebbles.
* SesquipedalianLoquaciousness: Moonrock often talks this way.
* SpinOffspring
* TimeSkip
* TwoShorts: The Pebbles & Bamm-Bamm series were single episodes. The next season's ''Flintstone Comedy Hour'' featured two shorts with Fred and Barney (the kids would make fleeting appearances), a short with Pebbles & Bamm and friends, and two songs by the Bedrock Rockers.
* TheUglyGuysHotDaughter: Pebbles in this series.
** CaptainErsatz: In particular, Moonrock looks and acts like the Franchise/ArchieComics character Dilton Doiley.
* WhateverHappenedToTheMouse: Dino, Baby Puss, Hoppy, and Gazoo are gone without a trace.
* ZanyScheme: Pebbles comes up with "a crazy, hair-brained scheme" OnceAnEpisode.
