''Eight Crazy Nights'' is a [[BlatantLies heartwarming family]] [[ChristmasSpecial holiday movie]] [[SarcasmMode that will bring joy and laughter to people of all ages]]... yeah, right. It's actually about a Jewish drunk in his early thirties (voiced by AdamSandler) who learns not to be such an asshole to everyone. Why should (or why shouldn't) you check it out? Well, it involves rocket farts, snowman killing, old lady melon squeezing (not what it sounds like), and that's just the first five minutes.

!!Tropes:
* ActorAllusion: The film's title comes from a line in "The Hanukkah Song".
* AdaptationExpansion: Whitey is based on a one-shot character from Sandler's album ''Stan and Judy's Kid''. (He also appears in ''Film/LittleNicky'', played by Creator/DanaCarvey.)
* AlterKocker: Eleanore.
* AnimatedMusical: Duh.
* AntiChristmasSong: "Davey's Song".
* BrickJoke: Davey picks on the fat kid in his team, telling him to wear a bra next time he comes on the court. We next see him at the mall trying on a bra in a changing stall.
* ButtMonkey: Whitey, [[spoiler:[[SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments until the ending]]]].
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Eleanore is ten pounds of ass-kicking in a five-pound bag. See the part when she's confronted by [[spoiler:the man who stole her Liz Taylor wig as a child]].
* ButThouMust: A rare non-videogame example. Before Davey [[spoiler: could leave the city on the bus all of the tires pop right in front of the place where the patch ceremony is being held.]]
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: Eleanore.
-->Ahh, a burglar! Take what you want, but please don't chop my legs off!
* CoolOldGuy: Whitey.
* DisneyCreaturesOfTheFarce: The deer.
* [[spoiler:EarnYourHappyEnding: Had Davey not got the town to acknowledge of how much of a jerk they've been to Whitey and what a service he did to the town, they wouldn't have given Whitey the recognition he deserved and Davey wouldn't be off the hook for the break-in]].
* FreudianExcuse: The reason why Davey is such a {{Jerkass}}, especially during the winter holidays is that [[spoiler: his parents were killed in a car crash during that time.]]
* GetAHoldOfYourselfMan: Combined with MushroomSamba (Whitey's drunk during this) and done by ''product placement'' of all things.
* HookHand: "I wonder if that guy ever wiped his ass, with the wrong hand?!" "Yes..."
* [[IAmSong "I Am" Song]]
* InTheStyleOf: The film's animation design is amazingly similar to the style used in another animated movie, ''WesternAnimation/TheIronGiant'', as most of the animation crew worked on both movies.
* InkSuitActor: Creator/AdamSandler... ANIMATED!
** Specifically, they based Davey off of pictures of Sandler when he was in his (very early) twenties.
* IWantSong
* {{Jerkass}}: Davey.
** JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Davey becomes this by the end of the movie.
* JerkassHasAPoint: Davey repeatedly says he doesn't want to talk about the night [[spoiler: his parents]] died but they go ahead and discuss it right in front of him regardless. Can you blame him for snapping at them afterward?
* KarmaHoudini: The basketball player who sets Davy's trailer on fire as revenge for beating him in a game of basketball.
* MultiBoobage: "Even Mrs. Selman with the one extra breast!"
* MusicalisInterruptus: "And my trailer's [[IncendiaryExponent caught on fire...]] [[OhCrap FIRE?!]]"
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: [[spoiler:[[ShamingTheMob All of the townspeople]]]]. IN SONG!
* ProducePelting: Working as a youth basketball referee, Davey [[TemptingFate challenges the crowd to throw things at him]] [[BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor and he gets his wish.]] The court becomes littered with concessions in no time.
* ProductPlacement: The mall scene and the later scene where the mall's store mascots come alive to sing "Let It Out, Davey."
* SingingSimlish: The chorus to the song "Bum Biddy," which is a parody of ''nigunim'', a series of melodies accompanied by nonsense syllables sung in Jewish religious services.
* SoUnfunnyItsFunny: "Knock-knock." "Who's there?" "Dontcha." "Dontcha who?" "Don'tcha wish I wouldn't have gone to the hardware store so that I could've come up with a better joke this year?"
* SpontaneousChoreography: It's to be expected from a movie that's basically a series of musicals.
* StartOfDarkness: Davey's descent to a life of drinking and jerkassery began [[spoiler: because his parents died on Hanukkah]].
* TalkingToHimself: Aside from Davey, Sandler also voices Whitey, Eleanore, and the deer.
* ToiletHumor: A fair bit throughout. For instance, a deer "projectile shits" from laughing so hard. There's also Whitey's port-a-potty ride.
* {{Transsexual}}: The mayor's wife. Though she looks more like a very obvious {{Crossdresser}}.
* TwoScenesOneDialogue: Or in this case, multiple scenes all singing in chorus.
* UnluckyChildhoodFriend: Davey discovers his Childhood Friend and sweetheart, Jennifer, got married (though now divorced) and had a son that he bonds with.
* UnusuallyUninterestingSight: "See anything?" "Just some deer doing a pyramid."
* UsedToBeASweetKid: Said several times about Davey.
* VillainProtagonist: Davey. [[spoiler: He gets better by the end.]]
* XRaySparks: In the song where everyone is singing about how mean they've been to Whitey throughout the years, this happened to Whitey when he opted to be the TV antenna during a thunderstorm.
