In this segment of ''WesternAnimation/TheBananaSplits Adventure Hour'', a FiveManBand of heroes fights evil in pre-Islamic Persia (Baghdad is frequently referenced), as Prince Turhan seeks to regain his throne from Bakar and Vangore. Aiding the prince are Fariq, a spell caster; Raseem, a man of great strength; Bez, who can transform himself into any animal; Princess Nida, a master of disguise, and Zazoom, a [[PersonOfMassDestruction donkey of mass destruction]].

!!"Rozan, ''tropar!"''
%%* ActionGirl: Princess Nida.
%%* {{Adventure}}: In the Creator/HannaBarbera mold no less!
%%* ArabianNightsDays: The setting of the cartoon.
%%* BerserkButton: Do not pull Zazoom's tail! (Although he ''never'' bleats about the results.)
%%* TheBigGuy: Raseem, though he does tend toward DumbMuscle sometimes.
%%* ChaseScene: On FlyingCarpet s no less!
* CityOfGold: Baghdad seemed to be overflowing with sapphires and rubies the size of your fist.
%%* CombatParkour: This is Prince Turhan's speciality.
%%* TheDragon: Vangor is this for Bakar.
%%* EasyAmnesia: Fariq had this in the episode "The Coronation of Bakaar".
%%* FlyingCarpet: Often used by the heroes. Fariq could even create one out of Raseem's sash. Towards the end of the series, these have become common enough that Vangor's men will use them as vehicles to chase our heroes.
* TheHeart: Unusually, this role is filled by Prince Turhan, not by his cousin Princess Nida. Prince Turhan is the emotional and spiritual center of the group, the person who gives the others the courage or hope to unlock their true potential -- and he's also [[DistressedDude the person most likely to be captured]] and in need of rescue by his companions. In general, Princess Nida rescues Prince Turhan rather than the reverse (although they often take turns rescuing each other).
%%* HollywoodTorches: The heroes often carried these when exploring caves.
%%* ImposterForgotOneDetail: "The Spy." Zazoom's habits clearly weren't factored into the ShapeShifter's infiltration of the Knights' quarters.
%%* IneptMage: Most episodes, Fariq continually alternates between this and a highly competent EthnicMagician. Simply pulling down his turban over his eyes is usually enough to disrupt his spellcasting.
%%* MasterOfDisguise: Naida, sometimes overlapping with WholesomeCrossdresser. Turhan isn't above using it himself.
%%* NeverBareheaded: Only Turhan and Naida avert this trope.
* PersonOfMassDestruction: When Zazoom's tail is pulled, he goes into a spin. Anything that can withstand Raseem or Bez doesn't stand a chance against Zazoom's tornado spin.
%%* PutTheirHeadsTogether: "The Great Gold Robbery." Raseem takes down two of Bakaar's thugs this way.
* RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething: Both Prince Turhan and Princess Nida are trying to take down Bakaar.
* SmellySkunk: Bez is able to send hardened guards running by transforming into a skunk and simply trotting up to them.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: Princess Nida is the only female hero.
%%* SuperBreath: Raseem had both of these abilities.
%%* TapOnTheHead: The usual fate for mooks and other bad guys during battle against the Knights.
%%* TeamPet: Zazoom.
* ThereWasADoor: Both Raseem and Bez (in the form of an elephant) will break through the wall rather than try for the guarded door.
* VoluntaryShapeshifting: Bez has the power to transform into any animal he wants. Preceded by his MadLibsCatchPhrase, "Size of a !", which changed not only his size but his shape. It's also ''one'' of Fariq's powers.
