''Zeus' Godly Goodtime'' is a comic series by [[http://memoski.deviantart.com/ Memoski]]. After [[VideoGame/GodOfWar Zeus]] joins the [[VideoGame/PlaystationAllStarsBattleRoyale Battle Royale]], he decides to spend some father-son time with Kratos, who is rather reluctant, to say the least. HilarityEnsues.

The first strip is [[http://memoski.deviantart.com/art/Zeus-godly-goodtime-1-359083717 here]]. The series is complete.

----
!! This webcomic contains examples of:

* AdaptationalHeroism:
** Zeus is much more pleasant here than [[VideoGame/GodOfWar he usually is.]]
** For all he has to deal with, Kratos is basically calmer here than he would be normally (such as when Monita chews him, which he probably wouldn't stand for if he wasn't going to be sued otherwise).
* AlternateCompanyEquivalent: Is shown when the Sony and Nintendo sides do battle, with [[VideoGame/ApeEscape Spike]] versus [[Franchise/DonkeyKong Diddy Kong]], VideoGame/FatPrincess (Plump) versus [[Franchise/{{Kirby}} King Dedede]] (both are obese royalty) and Parappa versus Franchise/DonkeyKong (based around their taste in music).
* AmazinglyEmbarrassingParents: The other All-Stars find Zeus pestering Kratos to be quite amusing.
* AnimatedActors: Kratos worries about Sony cancelling their contracts if they end up being sued by the Nintendo characters they've abused. He also considers releasing more DLC to pay for damages to the park, and tries to persuade Mario to let them off the hook with a beta key to ''God of War: Tennis in Hades'' (which doesn't exist, of course).
** CallBack: Beta keys for ''God of War: Tennis in Hades'' can be seen on the noticeboard in [[http://memoski.deviantart.com/art/High-Heels-454752343 this comic.]]
* ArtShift: When Zeus ask if they had fun, let's just say that Kratos doesn't look especially amused.
* BadHumorTruck: The father-son protagonist are left to drive [[VideoGame/TwistedMetal the sweet tooth]] to their destination. Kratos plans on murdering its owner when he gets back for inciting even more of his misery with Zeus.
* BerserkButton: The Donkey Kong Rap becomes one for [[VideoGame/ParappaTheRapper Parappa]] when he hears it a second time.
* BigEater: VideoGame/FatPrincess, as usual. She gets into trouble here by eating [[Franchise/{{Kirby}} King Dedede]]'s birthday cake.
* BirthdayEpisode: Or rather, [[Franchise/{{Kirby}} Dedede]]'s birthday is used as a backdrop to the potential mayhem the All-Stars could potentially cause at Nintendo Land.
* BumblingDad: Zeus is portrayed like this, causing Kratos quite a bit of embarrassment.
* TheCameo: VideoGame/CrashBandicoot is being held prisoner in part 4.
** [[VideoGame/SilentHill2 Pyramid Head]] is driving a car in part 6.
* CasanovaWannabe: Zeus attempts to woo every attractive lady in the series up to [[VideoGame/HeavenlySword Nariko]], [[Franchise/TheLegendOfZelda Zelda]], and [[Franchise/SuperMarioBros Princess Peach]] (one can imagine how well this goes over with Mario).
* ChekhovsGunman: [[spoiler: Dr Mario, who was seen on the first page as Zeus' doctor, suggesting he bond with Kratos.]]
* ConeOfShame: Parappa has to wear one after getting beat up by Donkey Kong (bonus points for his being a dog as well).
* CoolAndUnusualPunishment: Kratos claims that [[VideoGame/DonkeyKong64 the DK Rap]] is a far worse torment than anything he'd seen in Hades.
* CrazyPrepared: [[Franchise/{{Kirby}} King Dedede]] has three cakes baked for his birthday, having taken into account that Kirby and [[VideoGame/YoshisIsland Yoshi]] would try to steal the cake. Alas, Dedede didn't account for VideoGame/FatPrincess coming to visit.
** Alternatively, Dedede has three birthday cakes because [[BigEater he's just]] [[FatBastard that greedy.]]
* DespairEventHorizon: [[VideoGame/ParappaTheRapper Parappa]] crosses it the first time he hears [[VideoGame/DonkeyKong64 the Donkey Kong Rap]].
* DirtyOldMan: Zeus mythological philandering has been {{Flanderized}} into being an elderly WesternAnimation/JohnnyBravo (in Memoski's own words).
* DivingKick: How Parappa initially takes out Diddy.
* EarnYourHappyEnding: Zeus' plan to bond with Kratos didn't work out. [[spoiler: Fortunately, [[VideoGame/JakAndDaxter Jak]] wants someone to be a father figure to him.]]
* ExpressiveAccessory: Once Parappa starts to realize [[VideoGame/DonkeyKong64 what sort of rap is playing]], the frog on his beanie starts to look equally horrified.
* FacePalm: Kratos, during some of Zeus' shenanigans.
* TheFreelanceShameSquad: Most of the All-Stars only appear in the comic to laugh at Kratos.
* FunnyBackgroundEvent: VideoGame/SlyCooper running around on fire in the background of part 2 after whispering something in [[VideoGame/TwistedMetal Sweet Tooth's]] ear.
* FurryReminder: Parappa can be seen gnawing on a bone in part 6.
** Despite being a FunnyAnimal himself (who lives in a house and apparently drinks coffee based on the off-screen vapor), Toro finds the idea of a [[ComicStrip/{{Garfield}} cat eating lasagna]] perplexing.
* AGlassInTheHand: In the first page, as soon as Kratos hears Zeus, his mug ''explodes''.
* GoKartingWithBowser: Kratos and Zeus are an obvious example, as much as Kratos loathes to do so.
** Given their nature as AnimatedActors, Mario's influence has everyone treating him as the boss. He apparently keeps Goombas as medical assistants.
* HatingOnMonday: Zeus presumes that Kratos is in a bad mood because it's Monday (totally not because of the massive betrayal on his part).
* HawaiianShirtedTourist: Zeus wears a Hawaiian shirt for the visit to Nintendo Land.
* IAmNotShazam: In-Universe example. [[VideoGame/ApeEscape Spike]] refers to VideoGame/FatPrincess as Plump at one point[[note]]In the game, the blue side's princess is named Muffintop[[/note]]. Zeus doesn't know who he's talking about.
* IAmNotWeasel: Kratos really doesn't care if Crash is a bandicoot or an orange wallaby, just so long as someone can be brought in to replace Zeus on the roster.
* InCaseOfXBreakGlass: [[Franchise/{{Kirby}} Dedede]] keeps a third cake stashed away in the event that the first two are eaten (courtesy of Franchise/{{Kirby}} and Yoshi in this case). VideoGame/FatPrincess Got to this one, sparking his RageBreakingPoint.
* IsItAlwaysLikeThis: Zeus wonders if Kratos is generally moody to everyone. Sweet Tooth claims they've gotten used to it.
* ISOStandardUrbanGroceries: Kratos is seen carrying one in the final panel.
* IrritationIsTheSincerestFormOfFlattery: Zeus, on Marcus/Sly's suggestion, is told to become closer to Kratos' friends. This leads to wearing [[VideoGame/{{Killzone}} Helghan merchandise]] in front of Radec, who wonders if he should be proud or horribly ashamed (while giving the [[Memes/{{Futurama}} "not sure if"]] squint, dubbed the "Radec Squint").
* LampshadeHanging:
-->'''Zeus:''' "How could I know we can't endorse Nintendo? I'm not Sony's. I'm from Greek mythology. [[PublicDomainCharacter I'm pretty much public domain!]]"
* LaserGuidedKarma: For instigating the events of the comic, [[VideoGame/TwistedMetal Marcus' truck is damaged and all his ice cream eaten]] after Kratos gave the keys to the kids (Spike, Parappa and Plump). This can be taken as a CallBack to his rivalry cutscene with Kratos, where all he lost was a single cone.
* LostFoodGrievance: Dedede can at least expect and prepare for Kirby eating his birthday cake. [[RuleOfThree After his third cake is stolen by Fat Princess]] is when he finally goes to war over it.
* ManHug: Zeus locks Kratos in one in the first page. Combining personal dislike for Zeus and RealMenHateAffection, he's not pleased.
* MindControlMusic: Spike thinks that the monkeys have learned to use the DK rap to torture and brainwash those who listen to it. Not that he needs any more reason to let Parappa loose on Diddy...
* MisplacedRetribution: While Zeus is pestering him to go on a road trip in the midst of a match, Kratos is beating Dante's face far past the point that he can move or defend himself. [[http://memoski.deviantart.com/art/Zeus-godly-goodtime-5-361759582 Toro's disturbed expression should say it all]].
* MythologyGag: The lady with the snake who manages the All-Stars comes from the "Micheal" ad which came about shortly before ''VideoGame/PlaystationAllStarsBattleRoyale'' was originally announced. Kratos asks her to send Zeus away.
** She also claims that an invitation to Battle Royale was sent to VideoGame/CrashBandicoot, whose instead being held prisoner behind the doors of Creator/{{Activision}}. This is a reference to the company's refusal to cooperate in letting Crash take part.
* NoHoldsBarredBeatdown: Parappa gives one to Diddy Kong for playing [[BerserkButton the Donkey Kong Rap.]]
* NotThatKindOfDoctor: Mario makes it pretty clear he's not qualified to help with Zeus' depression, leading the the events of the entire comic when he tells Zeus to go bother his family or something.
-->"I got dragged into a big mess because the king of the gods took psychological advice from a plumber!"
-->-''Kratos summarizing the entire comic''
* TheNoseKnows: Being a dog, Parappa is able to sniff out a clue to Plump's whereabouts.
* OnlySaneMan: Kratos fills this role among the group that goes on the trip to Nintendo Land.
* PapaWolf: Franchise/DonkeyKong is standing [[RightBehindMe right behind]] [[VideoGame/ParappaTheRapper Parappa]] and [[VideoGame/ApeEscape Spike]] after they beat up Diddy Kong (both looking proud of themselves). He is not happy to say the least.
* ProperlyParanoid: [[VideoGame/ApeEscape Spike]] is convinced that monkeys and everything relating to them are [[ManiacMonkeys nothing but a danger to all]]. After meeting [[KillerGorilla Donkey Kong]], he's not too far off.
* RealLifeWritesThePlot: The series was inspired by the addition of Zeus as DownloadableContent for VideoGame/PlaystationAllStarsBattleRoyale.
* RoadTripPlot: The outlying premise for one half of the comic.
* RuleOfThree: [[Franchise/{{Kirby}} King Dedede]] baked three cakes for his birthday party. All three are eaten prematurely.
* RunningGag: Zeus turning one of his lovers into a cow is brought up whenever he flirts with another woman.
-->'''Zeus:''' "[[OnceDoneNeverForgotten It's been centuries already! When will people forget about it?]]"
* TheScream: Probably the only way to describe Parappa's expression inside the truck while the [[VideoGame/DonkeyKong64 the DK Rap]] is playing.
* ShoutOut
** The Snake lady's tip jar contains [[VideoGame/JakAndDaxter a Precursor Orb]], [[VideoGame/RatchetAndClank a Gold Bolt]], and [[Franchise/TheLegendOfZelda a Rupee]] (which Memoski has considered retconning).
** The poster advertising Dedede's birthday has Bundt in the picture, a boss from ''VideoGame/SuperMarioRPG''. The bottom of the page reads "[[VideoGame/{{Portal}} the cake is alive]]," making this a double-reference.
** In part 9, [[VideoGame/{{Killzone}} Radec]] is lounging in front of a Sony TV, watching the commercial for the ''WesternAnimation/RatchetAndClank Movie'' ("Where's the {{dubstep}}?") and wearing [[VideoGame/JumpingFlash Robbit slippers]].
* SmokingIsCool: Radec can be seen lounging with a fine cigar in the after-match hours, on the first page.
* TheSpartanWay: Referenced when Zeus says that childhood is wonderful, leading Kratos to point out that he spent his fighting his brother with a spear.
* SweatDrop: [[VideoGame/HeavenlySword Nariko]]'s reaction to Zeus calling her "hot chick."
* TemptingFate: The Donkey Kong Rap isn't the only Nintendo product Zeus intends on using.
-->'''Kratos:''' "Why did you have that disc anyways? We shouldn't be using our competition's products or services!"
-->'''Zeus:''' "Nothing at all?"
-->'''Kratos:''' "Nothing!"
-->'''Zeus:''' "Then you might not like [[VideoGame/NintendoLand where we're headed...]]"
** Kratos claims to [[VideoGame/NintendoLand Monita]] that he'll round up the lost Sony characters before anything bad happens. A moment later, a wall breaks behind them in the midst of a massive battle between the Sony and Nintendo characters.
* ThisIsGonnaSuck: Kratos makes a horrified face when he sees that Zeus took him to VideoGame/NintendoLand.
* UnusualEuphemism: At one point Zeus walks in on Kratos in the middle of bedding two ladies, classic God of War style, asking if he wants to try "multiplayer." Kratos is not amused.
** Kratos substitutes "Hades no!" at several points, and the final line of the comic is "What the Hades did I miss?"
* TheVoiceless: [[VideoGame/SlyCooper Sly]] doesn't actually have any dialogue in the course of the comic, despite coming up with most of the hilarious ways they can make Kratos suffer via Zeus.
