"The Horrifying Experiments of Dr. Pleasant!" is a low rez [[PixelArtComic pixel art]] comic on the [[WebComic WEB!]] A heartwarming tale about the titular Doctor, his assistant [[TheIgor Gale]], and all the new friends they make. (quite literally!)

It can be found [[http://experimentsofdrpleasant.tumblr.com here]] or [[http://thehorrifyingexperimentsofdrpleasant.thecomicseries.com/ here]] and also [[http://experimentsofdrpleasant.smackjeeves.com/ here]].

!! The comic provides examples of:
%% * AddedAlliterativeAppeal: Gale alliterates a lot. [[http://experimentsofdrpleasant.tumblr.com/post/63208945805/4-just-dont-call-her-crabcakes The comic]] where Cathy gets revived shows her getting irritated at this.
* AlphabeticalThemeNaming: Most characters' first names begin with different letters of the alphabet.
* ArtificialHuman: Armando was created to be irresistible to women, but is mostly just stuck in the midst of an existential crisis.
* ArtificialLimbs: Isabelle has a robotic pelvis, legs, left arm, [[ElectronicEyes left eye]], and a tail to boot!
* {{Bathos}}: Most of the humor comes from mundane situations and the first awakening of revival subjects is usually silly, but that doesn't change the fact that they had to die in the first place.
%% * BlaxploitationParody: Luscious Black.
%% * BlobMonster: Kilo. He's fond of attractive human females and doesn't produce solid waste.
* ColorCodedCharacters: Most characters feature a color heavily in their design. This color fills their respective text boxes too, which is [[ColorCodedForYourConvenience convenient]] for when characters are talking out of panel. Colors are as follows:
** White - Dr. Pleasant
** Red - Cathy
** Green - Gale
** Blue - Amanda
** Linen - Sable
** Pink - Phophora
** Apricot - Ophelia
** Vermilion - Lorelei
** Orange - Joselyn
** Gold - Armando
** Yellow - Beatrix
** Chartreuse - Francesca
** Olive - Ursula
** Turquoise - Elvira
** Cyan - Maya
** Light Blue - Dr. Wright
** Indigo - Dr. Hope
** Magenta - Isabelle
** Rose - Vladina
** Maroon - Na'dlehee Lupu
** Silver - X7f-2B
** Grey - Koko
** Black - Luscious Black
%% * CuteMonsterGirl: The primary comedic setup is the Doctor reviving a girl and Gale hitting on them.
* DeadpanSnarker: Amanda's inability to feel emotions means "deadpan" is her only choice in delivery.
* EmotionlessGirl: Amanda CameBackWrong and lost her emotional capabilities.
* FaunsAndSatyrs: Ursula has horns and goat legs below her knees.
%% * FieryRedhead: Inverted with the mellow Sable. Played straight with the unhinged subject A-4.14 and moody (as shown to have red hair in a flashback) Dr. Pleasant.
* HarpingOnAboutHarpies: Joselyn has wings on her [[WingedHumanoid back]], feathered arms, and bird legs.
%% * HulkSpeak: Kilo displaying the "fine, articulate speech you can expect from the average person."
%% * TheIgor: Far more hideous than a hunchback, Gale is an obnoxious dudebro.
* LittleBitBeastly: Beatrix's only visible bee parts are her antennae... And her compound eyes.
%% * MadScientist: Natch.
* {{Mummy}}: Sable's bandages and top give her this sort of vibe.
%% * MushroomSamba: Comic 17 where subject A-2.14 has flooded the compound with drugs.
%% * NaiveEverygirl: Ophelia, in spite of being nothing but a head on spider-like robot.
* OpaqueNerdGlasses: The shading on Dr. Pleasant's glasses at least show which way he is looking.
* OurWerewolvesAreDifferent: The goddess Na'dlehee Lupu is shown transforming into a wolf-like creature. Also has [[SupernaturalGoldEyes gold eyes]] in her human form.
* OurVampiresAreDifferent: Vladina does not need to consume blood, but simply smelling it can drive into a serious state of [[JekyllAndHyde bloodlust]].
%% * PlantPerson: Subject A-2.14, which also happens to emit a powerful hallucinogen. May or may not actually be "Alive and stuff."
* PullingThemselvesTogether: A side effect of Sable's super healing is how easily she falls apart. The benefit of Sable's super healing is how easily she can be put back together.
* ShoutOut: Dr. Wright is a clear reference to [[Franchise/MegaMan Dr. Light]]. But he's kind of a jerk.
%% * {{Sexbot}}: Dr. Wright's Companion Bots are capable of being this.
* SnakePeople: Francesca, who comes complete with forked tongue, [[GorgeousGorgon wild hair]], and plenty of sass.
%% * SssssnakeTalk: Francesca does this when she is teasing people and/or has been drinking.
