''[[http://www.bmoviecomic.com/ The B-Movie Comic]]'' is based on a long, proud history of SoBadItsGood movies. It mostly follows the exploits of a RagtagBunchOfMisfits who have thus far been engaged in fighting mummies, [[EverythingsDeaderWithZombies zombies]] and Commies. This does change a little bit when a lot of the main characters disappear[[spoiler: /die]] for a large chunk near the end of the second arc, only to be replaced by another set of mistfits, who promptly disappear [[spoiler:when the originals [[UnexplainedRecovery came back]] [[DeathIsCheap from the dead]].]]

The originals include [[OmnidisciplinaryScientist Professor Dr.]], [[{{Delinquents}} Snuka]], [[TheDitz Biff Boffenheimer]], and [[{{Goth}} Mopey]].

On September 21st-28th, 2017, the comic switched engines to WordPress, transferring only the pages from chapter 6 (''The Secret of the White Lotus'') onwards. The old archives are now inaccessible and all links are dead, making it a fine example of how ''NOT'' to move a webcomic.

!!''The B-Movie Comic'' provides examples of:

'''General tropes'''

* TheChewToy (Lee, who plays Snuka)
* DVDCommentary
* NoBudget (the director is aplty-named Nolan Nobucks)
* ObviousStuntDouble: The central joke is that it's recreating {{B Movie}}s in all their cheesy, low-budget glory. Part of this is the variety of behind-the-scenes bonus comics, explaining how they accomplished the numerous stunts and special effects. Turns out that Snuka's underpaid ChewToy actor Lee does his own stunts, and ''everyone else's stunts'', regardless of how little he looks like them.
* OmnidisciplinaryScientist: Professor Dr.
-->[[http://www.bmoviecomic.com/?cid=1073 Rant]]: But cybernetics/paleontology is also the ideal combination for Professor Dr. of course, who just happens to be an expert in both of these fields! Mostly because he always happens to be an expert in whatever field is relevant to the plot, or because a scriptwriter isnít even aware that there are different fields in science.
* TheRant: One of the major interests of the comic. Without it, many of the visual jokes in the page would be lost.
* SpecialEffectsFailure: In-Universe.
* StockFootage: Whenever the director thinks he can get away with it.
** The "Professor Dr. discovers a dead body" scene has become such too (though the [[http://www.bmoviecomic.com/?cid=845 third time]] it's another character played by the same actor).
* StylisticSuck: lots of it.

'''Tropes in the [[http://www.bmoviecomic.com/index_0001.html first movie]] "Revenge of Rutentuten":'''

* TheCoronerDothProtestTooMuch: The Pharaoh and his queen's deaths.
* InsultedAwake
* {{Mummy}}
* ShootTheMoney: Snuka's best scene vs. the mummy strangling a redshirt.
'''Tropes in the [[http://www.bmoviecomic.com/index.php?cid=8 second movie]], "Attack of the [Description withheld in order not to spoil the surprise][[spoiler:Angels]].":'''

Note: The '''actual''' title is revealed at [[http://www.bmoviecomic.com/index.php?cid=471 the end]] (SPOILER!) to be ''Attack of the [[spoiler:invisible zombies from outer space]]''.
* AlienInvasion
* AnAesop
* {{Anvilicious}}: In-Universe [[http://www.bmoviecomic.com/?cid=451 here]].
* ArcFatigue: The second movie's storyline lasted a good ''four years'' for nearly 500 pages. Which is considerably longer than the first chapter was (about 100 pages).
* AttackOfThe50FootWhatever
* BatmanParody: For one early arc, Prof. Dr. and Snuka parody ''Series/{{Batman}}''.
* DroppedABridgeOnHim: [[spoiler:Snuka]].
* FromACertainPointOfView
* InvisibleStreaker: In order for Snuka to be invisible.
* LonelyFuneral
* MaskedLuchador: El Lightning Blue.
* ShootTheMessenger
* {{Stripperific}}: Snuka spends most of the story arc wearing what amounts to a workout bra and jeans that are so baggy they might as well just be leg warmers.
* VillainDecay: In-Universe.
* WondrousLadiesRoom
* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: The informer at the end's SequelHook.
* ZombieApocalypse
'''Tropes in the [[http://www.bmoviecomic.com/index.php?cid=473 third movie]] "20,000 leeks below the surface of the ocean":'''

* {{Atlantis}}: In the form of a DomedHometown UnderwaterCity.
* BlahBlahBlah: Captain Emo's rank as heard by Sephy.
* DaydreamSurprise: [[Film/{{Spaceballs}} Ludicrous speed]] [[http://www.bmoviecomic.com/?cid=601 here]].
* IntellectuallySupportedTyranny
* NotAsYouKnowThem: In this chapter, many of the characters like Mopey and Buff look noticeably completely different. This can usually be expected from a B-movie sequel.
* TheRemnant: On the island of Toblerone.
* {{Retirony}}
* SeaMonster
* SmokingHotSex: Mopey's flashback.
* WelcomeToCorneria: There are many guards in the castle... and no castle.
'''Tropes in the [[http://www.bmoviecomic.com/index.php?cid=688 fourth movie]] "Earth vs. Uranus"'''
* AlienInvasion
* AsYouKnow
* DirtyCommunists
* DumbBlonde: Biff's current girlfriend, Bustimena Cuntessa Putasestupida, aka Busty, is on the same intellectual level as him.
* FakeRealTurn: The good guys set up a fake poll to get information from the henchmen, and when Prof. Dr. notices they have ''almost'' enough data to make it a real poll (and get credit for the university), he decides it would be a waste to stop now.
* GagBoobs: Busty's chest is her most important feature (and gets more screentime -- and ''lines'' -- than her head).
* MiddleManagementMook: Dr. Ray Infinity Kobras.
* TheOtherDarrin: Prof. Dr. (well not exactly: it's still the same actor, but they're no longer bothering with the heavy makeup, so the effect is the same).
* RecycledSet: The Silhouette Mountain set.
* RedHerring
* SequelEscalation: This movie has a mountain 81 times as tall as Silhouette Mountain.
* ThisIsNoTimeToPanic: [[http://www.bmoviecomic.com/index.php?cid=714 This page]] and the next one, when Prof. Dr. states whose disappearance is or isn't cause for panic.

* DemonHead: [[http://www.bmoviecomic.com/?cid=904 Used by Prof. Dr.]] to get an answer from Mopey.
* GroinAttack: Dutchman Fu's favorite torture device.
* MeaningfulName: [[http://www.bmoviecomic.com/?cid=796 Professor Time-on Zeitgeist Chronometricos]]
* PercussiveMaintenance: Used [[http://www.bmoviecomic.com/?cid=972 here]] to disable the self-destruct mechanism.
* PocketProtector: [[spoiler:Churchill]]'s [[http://www.bmoviecomic.com/?cid=963 Golden cigar box]]
* RecycledSet: The Silhouette Mountain set.
* SelfDestructMechanism: One for [[spoiler:the entire continent of Africa]]
* SkeletonKeyCard: [[http://www.bmoviecomic.com/?cid=814 Snuka vs. vault door]]
* TimeTravel: The basis of the plot.
* TravelingAtTheSpeedOfPlot: As Prof. Dr. [[http://www.bmoviecomic.com/?cid=816 explains]].
