-->'''Marty''': Welcome aboard, Captain Smith, I'm Lieutenant Jasper, I'll be your XO.
-->'''Bob''': Um... is there any particular reason you're... well... naked?

''[[http://www.legostargalactica.net/ Legostar Galactica]]'' is a science-fiction {{Lego}} PhotoComic launched in August 2002 by Dusan M. Jeftinija, Ph.D., about the struggles of Captain Bob Smith, who had recently been transferred to the notorious starship ''[[DysfunctionJunction Muffin]]'' due to an [[NoodleIncident embarrassment to the military]] on his part. Initially dealing with his zany crew, Captain Bob has to go to great lengths to keep the ship together, but then [[FromBadToWorse it goes to hell]] when the [[StarWars Sith]] start targeting the ''Muffin'' because of his second-in-command Jasper's ties [[spoiler:and those of the ship doctor, Reines]] to the Jedi council.

As the name may imply, the comic parodies science fiction movies, TV shows and novels, especially ''Franchise/StarTrek'', ''StarWars'', ''Series/DoctorWho'', ''Series/{{Battlestar Galactica|Reimagined}}'' and ''Series/{{Heroes}}''. Its level of parody shifts between AffectionateParody and pure satire (the "Legoes" arc comes to mind).

Legostar Galactica is part of the Brick Comic Network.

!!'''Legostar Galactica provides examples of the following tropes:'''
* ActorAllusion: An odd example, considering that it's a webcomic with characters made out of Legos, but occasionally there are these with regards to the HypotheticalCasting. For instance, in one episode, Belinda and [[DoctorWho the Doctor]] meet an older version of Skip Tyler ([[HypotheticalCasting hypothetically]] played by DavidTennant). The Doctor notes that Skip is quite good looking.
** In another episode, Bob (BruceCampbell), Marty (Ted Raimi), and Belinda (Creator/AmyAcker) give as aliases, respectively, [[BurnNotice Chuck Finley]], [[XenaWarriorPrincess Joxer the Magnificent]], and [[http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Series/Angel Winifred Burkle]].
* AncientConspiracy: Darth Creepius and his origin story.
* AuthorAvatar
* BigBad: Darth Creepius. [[spoiler:Until he gets trapped in a black hole.]]
* BaitAndSwitchTyrant: [[spoiler: Lt. Pascal. She becomes a little nicer after the crew find out she's half-Nythrian.]]
* ButtMonkey: Marty, especially at the beginning. It's become a little less prominent as he's [[TookALevelInBadass taken a few levels in badass.]]
* CasanovaWannabe: Johnny Danger
* CanonImmigrant: All the characters originally from ''StarWars.''
** [[DoctorWho The Doctor]] as well.
* ClusterFBomb: Everything 4675636B says, right from his [[http://www.legostargalactica.net/2002/08/28/08282002/ introduction]].
* CerebusSyndrome: Slowly but surely.
* TheChessmaster: [[spoiler:Robin]] seems to have become one of these, almost single-handedly orchestrating a prison break in [[spoiler:"Cunningham's Eleven"]].
* CommandRoster: As expected from a starship soap opera.
* DoubleAgent: [[spoiler: Marty. He never really joined the Sith; he was just setting them up.]]
* DualWielding: Combat style of choice for [[spoiler:[[FourStarBadass Admiral Graves]]]].
* DysfunctionJunction: The ''Muffin.''
* EmbarrassingFirstName: There's a reason that [[spoiler:Snoogiewoogielar]] goes by simply "TAG".
* EvilTwin: Rob, who is also a clone. [[spoiler: AKA Darth Pester]]
* FandomRivalry: In-Universe Parody: in a story arc where the characters visit a ''Franchise/HarryPotter''-themed planet and discover that the ''Literature/HarryPotter'' fans are at war with ''Literature/TheLordOfTheRings'' fans. The crew is expelled [[SciFiGhetto for being science fiction.]]
** {{Shipping}} is parodied as well [[spoiler: when the crew ends up in a homoerotic bathhouse while trying to escape the ''Harry Potter'' fans with [[HoYay Harry and Ron]].]]
* FourStarBadass: Admiral Graves didn't reach that rank by [[GilbertAndSullivan filling out paperwork]], you know.
* FreudWasRight: [[spoiler: Marty]]'s [[http://www.legostargalactica.net/2008/12/16/12162008/ spaceship]].
* GroinKick: Johnny gets this from every girl he flirts with.
* HeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler: Darth Angrius]]
** [[spoiler: HeelFaceRevolvingDoor: [[http://www.legostargalactica.net/2010/10/13/ He joined the Sith again]] .]]
** FaceHeelTurn: [[spoiler: Marty,]] until [[spoiler: [[http://www.legostargalactica.net/2010/10/08/ you find out that all along he was really a double agent.]]]]
* HypotheticalCasting: The comic (and particularly its wiki) occasionally includes information on who is playing the various (Lego) characters. One of them is played by Scott Bakula, apparently.
* SelfDemonstrating/TheJoker: Makes a cameo as a member of the band 'Rogue's Gallery'. The other band members don't feel safer giving him anything bigger than a kazoo.
* TheKirk: Captain Bob, initially. Lately he's been more of a ButtMonkey.
** KirkSummation: Delivered by Captain Bob to virtually every villain that attacks the ''Muffin'', to varying degrees of success.
* KickTheDog: [[http://www.legostargalactica.net/2006/03/27/03272006/ This comic]] does it literally.
* KirksRock: As you would expect from a ''Star Trek'' parody.
* MadScientist: The Brain, who is incidentally a BrainInAJar. A very insane brain. PlayedForLaughs.
* MassiveMultiplayerCrossover: It's mainly a ''Star Trek'' parody, but elements from countless other major sci-fi series are featured.
* MeaningfulName: The Sith lords' names, Johnny Danger, Red Shirt.
** Dr. Malcom Notio, head of the research department. "Mal Notio" is Latin for "Bad Idea."
* MohsScaleOfSciFiHardness: Pretty soft.
* TheMole: Darth Pestilous, [[spoiler:Princess Natalie.]].
* MotorMouth: Ensign Skip Tyler
* NakedOnArrival: Marty, as the crew never lets him forget.
* NoIndoorVoice: [[http://www.legostargalactica.net/2010/05/23/05232010/ Shown here.]]
* NoodleIncident: Parodied and [[LampshadeHanging lampshaded]]. everybody refers to Captain Bob's dismissal as the "Macaroni Incident."
* {{Omniglot}}: Bob is able to speak a variety of languages, including Cat.
* TheOmniscientCouncilOfVagueness: The Dark Council until they were revealed and later the Jedi Council
* ThePlan: One of Darth Creepius's has come to fruition, namely by [[spoiler:eliminating the Jedi as a threat and using an ancient lightsaber of great power to [[TheStarscream massacre the Dark Council and create a new order]]]].
* PreAssKickingOneLiner: This [[http://www.legostargalactica.net/2010/10/20/ strip's]] full of 'em/
* PrecisionFStrike: Can go several "episodes" without using any profanity stronger than "crap" before using words like "Fuck" and "Shit" every once in a while for effect.
* RedShirt: Parodied with the character named "Red Shirt," who dies in most of his appearances only to come [[ContractualImmortality back to life]] or be healed. This is attributed both to a family lineage of being incredibly prone to die and the fact he wears a red shirt, which is the cause of "Red Shirt Syndrome," as it's called in-universe.
* RagtagBunchOfMisfits: The crew of the ''Muffin.''
* RougeAnglesOfSatin: Unclear if it is intentional or not, but during the "Legos" arcs (the "Heros" parody, a character regularly mentions using "heroine" instead of "heroin."
* RunningGag: Loads - Marty's nakedness (not so much anymore), Red's deaths, Cunningham's phobias, TAG's embarassing head colors, Johnny's crotch getting kicked, Jar Jar getting shot...
* ScheduleSlip: Completely and blessedly [[AvertedTrope averted]]. This is a daily comic, but the author has a buffer over 1 year in length set up.
* SingleBiomePlanet: All the planets the crew visits.
* SpacePirates
* StableTimeLoop: The one set up in the Season 9 episode "Prison Break" is revisited in the Season 12 episode "Prison Break Redux", this time from the other Belinda's point of view.
* TakeThat: Numerous, including a one to George Lucas by casting him as a [[CrowningMomentOfFunny member of the Dark Council]].
* TheyKilledKenny: RedShirt usually gets killed whenever he shows up in an episode. It's a RunningGag in the story.
* ThereAreNoTherapists: At first lampshaded and then averted by having high command introduce a ship therapist to deal with the crew's neuroses, but then subverted when the therapist turns out to be [[TheDitz pretty crazy herself]] and not a help to anyone.
* TokenMinority: In this case, a token alien, which is lampshaded by naming him "Token Alien Guy."
* TookALevelInBadass: Reines [[spoiler:when it is revealed that she is a Jedi]] and Jasper [[spoiler:when he supposedly becomes a Sith Lord]], as well as Red Shirt, who starts out a mere RedShirt, and then eventually [[spoiler: helps to defeat the Big Bad, and is the only primary cast member present at the time.]]
* TwistEnding: The Legoes arc, much to the surprise of everyone who had gotten bored of it.
* WeCanRebuildHim: Done [[http://www.legostargalactica.net/2010/08/03/ here]].
* TheWatcher: The omniscient being called ";" ([[TheUnpronounceable his name is unpronounceable in our inferior alphabet]]), or at least he claims to be. He is also an EnergyBeing with a physical avatar.
* WhatMeasureIsANonhuman: Played straight and lampshaded.
* WrenchWench: Shauna is the ship's engineer, and can make a warp drive out of a toaster.
* IfYoureSoEvilEatThisKitten: Upon becoming [[spoiler: a sith lord, Marty is told to kill Jedi knight Tyn.]]
