(GUESS!)

WildMassGuessing for the ''VideoGame/WarioWare'' series.
----
[[WMG:Wario's world involves a microgame-based culture]]Everyday tasks are presented as microgames. Goods and services, too, and even recreational activities. This is true even in ''Smooth Moves'', where there is no real frame story to back it. It may be that this is simply the way everything works.
[[WMG:Wario is meant to represent/mock Bill Gates. Rich and greedy, he entered the VideoGame industry even though he had no business doing so.]]
* And furthermore, Wario gains immense physical strength from devouring whole cloves of raw garlic, also like Bill Gates.
* Alternately, Wario is the inspiration for Mulch Diggums from ''Literature/ArtemisFowl'' - a dwarf who can unhinge his jaw far enough to swallow a small man whole, and propel himself with flatulence.

[[WMG:Jimmy T. Is really a Toad]]
* The afro is a mushroom.
** Given his name's resemblance to those of the Paper Mario Toads, you may be onto something there.
*** So he's not a distant relative of [[http://www.mariowiki.com/Dupree Dupree]]?

[[WMG: Wario Ware is a stealth parody of shovelware minigame collections.]]
** Especially in how it's actually ''good''.

[[WMG:All the characters are insane. Katamari-level insane.]]
* Shouldn't this be a given?
* This is a given in any game Wario stars in for anyone and everyone.

[[WMG: Ashley is related to Alucard from Hellsing.]]
* [[http://www.foroswebgratis.com/imagenes_foros/7/8/0/4/2/553237WarioWareSmoothMoves-Ashley.png Compare]] and [[http://www.quizilla.com/user_images/A/A-/A-T/A-True-Dark-Wolf/1135320692_salucard57.jpg contrast]]. The hair, the eyes, the wearing red, the tint of evilness....
** To be more specific, she's Girly-card. (See the ''Manga/{{Hellsing}}'' page for more details.)
** Red eyes, black hair, and a thing for wearing red seem to be stereotypical vampire things, period, so I doubt it. Either she's actually a vampire, though, or she's inspired by them. She is a goth, after all.

[[WMG: VideoGame/{{WarioWare}} is a massive StealthParody of popular culture in general!]]
There are some things that make me wonder if this series doesn't have some deeper meaning...
* The entire Mona Pizza arc in Twisted (Even the theme song) seems to parody the endless "war" between local businesses (Mona Pizza) and big franchises (Pizza Dinosaur). The lyrics make it even more blatant:
->Our crust is tough
->And our sauce is thin,
->But we're everywhere
->So you gotta give in!
->Mona Pizza's got nothing on us
->Cuz we got six thousand stores plus!
->Pizza Dinosaur~~
* Mona's level in VideoGame/{{WarioWare}}: Touched seems to contain some subtle {{Take That}}s at the music industry. On the Top 5 chart, we see Sal Out (Sell-out) and a whiny, {{Wangst}}y EmoTeen parody, among others.
* The lyrics to Ashley's Theme are pretty disturbing if you think about it (she [[AndIMustScream turned her teacher into a spoon]]!?), but the last two lines are surprisingly charming, seemingly containing an {{Aesop}} about accepting people who are different:
-->(Just remember this when you see her on the street:)
-->(Ashley:) I'm the coolest girl you'll ever meet!
** It's originally CRUELEST, maybe. There doesn't seem to be an extremely clear version of it, so the world may never know. It's definitely "Coolest" in the Brawl version, though.
*** It's DEFINITELY "cruelest" in the original. The SSBB version completely changed the mood, voice, and style. And the other lyrics only emphasize the whole "evil" vibe.
*** Strangely, if you speed up the record for this song in the Turntable, it mashes part of the lyrics together in a way that sounds like she's saying, quite clearly, "I have granted kids to Hell." Not so cute, now, is she?

[[WMG: All of the main characters (exept ''maybe'' Ashley) are [[TabletopGame/GeniusTheTransgression Geniuses]]]]
* Dr. Crygor
** Neid, or maybe Stauren. It's anyone's guess how he catalyzed.
** Typical ChaoticNeutral MadScientist. If he isn't a genius, I don't know who is. Since being a Genius is contagious, it's possible that he was the first Genius in Diamond city, and the rest followed soon afterwards.
** Wonders: Pretty much every damn thing he builds, most notably Mike the robot.
** Ditto for Penny.
* Wario
** He might not be a Genius, but he certainly isn't a Beholden, and has even caused Havoc a few times. He probably counts as a "Unique" template, or one from a non-existent [[TabletopGame/OldWorldOfDarkness WoD]] supplement(''Plumber: the Unclogging''?).
** Wonders: His Motorcycle, that Watch from "Twisted".
* 9-Volt
** Stauren, fascinated by old video games and the 80's.
** Wonders: His hoverboard, that little yellow thing that shows up in every game. Might have triggered Havoc once or twice (offscreen).
* 18-Volt
** Beholden, catalyzed from seeing 9-Volt's hoverboard in action, and apparently funked back to elementary school... or something...
* Mona
** Stauren, probably catalyzed from all the weirdness around her.
** Wonders: The robo-monkey, her scooter, and a few other things I can't quite recall.
* Jimmy T.
** Stauren (seeing a pattern here?), or maybe a Kalgen in denial. Catalyzed from love of 70's and/or the death of Disco.
** Wonders: He might be too busy to really care.
* Dribble/Spitz
** Grimm and Staunen, respectively. Manes from some sort of anthropomorphic Bardo.
** Wonders: Their cab (it can transform into a freakin' spaceship, after all)
* Orbulon
** Hoffnung, Manes from a space-age Bardo (maybe Mars.)
** Wonders: Space ship(s), lasers, other alien stuff.
* Ashley
** May actually be a Mage, though I'm at a loss to say what kind.

[[WMG: Wario is immediately related to the Crygors and/or the Thang family.]]
Wario's nose is apparently a trait others share. Maybe alcoholism is rampant in Diamond City. Or maybe there's another reason for it. After all, James T. and Jamie T. shouldn't be alcoholics, right Nintendo? Apparently that nose is genetic, which might make a case for a genetic relationship. Plus, let's face it, if you had the choice to work with Wario knowing full well he'd stiff you, you'd probably turn it down if you weren't related.

[[WMG: Ashley is from [[Franchise/TouhouProject Gensokyo.]]]]
* Reasons:
** She uses magic
** She has her own mansion
** Plus her boss microgame in ''Touched!'' is basically a LighterAndSofter [[BulletHell Danmaku]].
** Don't forget that she is a little girl.
This Troper hates how much it makes sense.

[[WMG: Ashley will be in Luigi's Mansion 2.]]
Who's the girl next door ''living in the haunted mansion'', after all?
* Jossed. Ashley is not present in the game.

[[WMG: 9-volt is a JustForFun/TimeLord.]]
* Boy, that sounded cool reading it over. Anyway, 9-volt is at a young age owning every Nintendo piece of hardware, software, accessory, and item. His TARDIS is his hoverboard to go back in the past to get the Nintendo items. [[FridgeBrilliance $10 in this age is a lot more in the past.]] He could easily get all of the items in a week.

[[WMG: Orbulon is the one who introduced Wario to Tatanga.]]
Apparently Orbulon met Wario after once crashing into his house. Perhaps it was when he was in the process of plotting his revenge against Mario. Would explain how he was able to find a space alien to kidnap Princess Daisy on the other side of the planet, to give him time to take over Mario Land.

[[WMG: Wario keeps Kat and Ana around to ward off Cpt. Syrup]]
What better way to deal with a pirate than to hire ninjas?
* Hah!

[[WMG: Kat and Ana go to the same school as 9-Volt.]]
Ashley used to, but then her teacher took a magic to the...everywhere.
** Kat and Ana's kindergarten is in a different area than Diamond City Elementary, though it's still likely that they eventually will.
** [[OlderThanSheLooks It's implied Ashley is 15]], so she actually may be to high school by now.

[[WMG: The Warioware gang really didn't break up.]]
* Wario used Dr. Crygor's create a micro-game idea and divide the company into 2, Warioware and Diamond City software. That way, Wario will than be able to make TWICE the money by having the former make minigames along with the Microgame/Comic/Music maker and ship them to Diamond City software where they will sell them and make their own, doubling the profit for Wario. Also explans on how Wario was at a lost for words the first time you meet him when he says they quit after a brief pause.

[[WMG: Every female character in the series is a GamerGirl.]]
* Mona, Kat/Ana, Ashley, and Penny all got into the gaming industry because they're gamers themselves! Not only that, but they also represent different female gaming demographics:
** Mona: The popular girl who you wouldn't expect to be geeky at first glance.
** Kat/Ana: Hyperactive young kids.
** Ashley: The loner.
** Penny: The geek.
** 5-Volt: The mom who became interested in games via watching her son play them... or the former gamer girl who gave her old consoles to her son, maturing his passion for gaming.

[[WMG: Ashley is [[Fanfic/MyImmortal Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way]] when she was a child.]]
She's really into the black arts and has a black and red motif.
->"[[ThemeSong She doesn't play with dolls and she never combs her hair.]] [[NotLikeOtherGirls Who has time for girly things like that?]]"
Fuking prepz!!

[[WMG: ''Gold'' will feature a new "Volt" character.]]
* In the trailer, 9-Volt looks like he has a crush on someone. This someone could end up being a new character affiliated with him, like 18-Volt from Twisted or 5-Volt in Game & Wario.
** RightForTheWrongReasons. 9-Volt was just [[EverybodyHatesMathematics lamenting having to do math work]], but 18-Volt's story involves a new character: Rapping phenomenon 13-Amp.

[[WMG: The ''VideoGame/MarioClash'' microgame from ''Mega Microgame$'' will be one of the returning microgames in ''Gold''.]]
Think about it: it's the only microgame in the series so far to be based on a Platform/VirtualBoy game, so it can actually be displayed in 3D!
* Unfortunately, ''Gold'' only plays in 2D.
** Confirmed regardless; it's one of 5-Volt's microgames.

[[WMG: Jimmy T is actually Waluigi's true identity while Waluigi isn't playing tennis.]]
* Um... Looking at their chins and moustaches, they dont share a resemblance which could mean that they are one and the same.

[[WMG: Going off the play idea from the Mario games, [=WarioWare=] is the only series that is not a play.]]
As in, the [=WarioWare=] games are the only games that 'actually' happen. Would explain how 9-Volt makes some microgames off of Mario's "adventures".

[[WMG: Lulu is Wario's [[HeroicBastard Illegitimate child]].]]
Lulu looks very similar to Wario. She has BigOlEyebrows like him, She's implied to be around 3 to 5 (or at least potty-training age), but she's larger then other kids like Kat, Ana and even the 9 year old 9-volt. She even wears WhiteGloves and overalls that are similar to other plumber's duds, much like Wario in the Mario series. However, Wario would make an extremely bad parent so he would have no interest in raising her, hence why she lives in some dirt-poor village. Of course, Wario is generally far too absorbed in himself and money to have any real interest in romance, so how he would have the time or patience to father any children would be a mystery.

[[WMG: On certain nights, 5-volt gets a little... [[DemonicPossession demon-ish]].]]
I mean just look at her when she catches 9-Volt.

[[WMG: 18-Volt is at least partially a [[VideoGame/SuperMarioOdyssey New Donker]].]]
Assuming he wasn't just held back for nearly a decade, 18-Volt is incredibly tall for his age, taller than some adults, even. Y'know who else is oddly tall? The AmbiguouslyHuman residents of New Donk City, known as "New Donkers."

[[WMG: In [=WarioWare=] Gold, you can call Waluigi]]

You can use a phone, and type many phone codes to make phone calls, one of the messages is:

''"Listen, stop calling! I already said I wouldn't do it! Wait, this isn't Wario, is it? Ugh, that guy's been pestering me to make games for him. He's always been a pest, and he's never going to be anything BUT a pest. If you see Wario, tell him my decision is final. No games, no way. What's that? My name? S...sorry, gotta run."''

It's Waluigi on the phone, Wario keeps calling him to work at the [=WarioWare=] company and help him make games, but he never wants to do it, that's why Waluigi is always missing from the [=WarioWare=] series.

If you don't think it's Waluigi, who could it be?

[[WMG: Waluigi will be in the next [=WarioWare=] title]]
Now more than ever, thanks to VideoGame/SuperSmashBrosUltimate, Waluigi's fanbase is demanding the character be given more recognition by Nintendo (if not as a Smash fighter, then in his own game). If neither is possible, what's the next best thing? Make him a part of the Warioverse! Despite their strong association with each other, Waluigi has yet to appear outside of the Mario spinoff games. And it's been almost twenty years since his debut in VideoGame/MarioTennis.

* Jossed: ''Get It Together!'' was the following release, and Waluigi is nowhere in sight.
[[WMG: Wario is washed up in [=WarioWare Gold=]]]

It's clear the veteran treasure hunter/demon slayer has lost his edge in the decade since the last Wario Land title. Not only did he fail to put up a fight when his last bit of coinage was stolen, but he couldn't even throw off a little girl.

[[WMG: Dr. Crygor reconstructed his body because of Penny.]]
Penny's parents are never mentioned. At best, this means they're never around, and at worst, they're dead. Dr. Crygor's wife is also pretty definitely no longer among the living. Penny herself is likely in her mid-teens. Dr. Crygor is over one hundred years old, meaning he was already well past eighty when Penny was born. Dr. Crygor clearly adores his granddaughter, and with no one else to take care of her, it fell to him. Thus, he used his genius intellect to create a helmet that slowed his aging process and reconstruct parts of his body that didn't work very well so that he could take care of Penny as best he could. He didn't reconstruct himself as part of some mad scheme or crazy experiment, he did it because he loves his granddaughter.

[[WMG: The reason why Lulu is working for Wario in ''Get It Together'']]
Considering that Lulu was Wario's enemy in ''Gold'', it's weird that she seems to be working for him in ''Get It Together'', but there seems to be a couple good reasons for that:
* 1). The only reason that Lulu even hated Wario in the first place was because he stole Luxeville's chamber pot. However, considering that Wario [[GracefulLoser gave up the pot willingly after Lulu points that out]] (even finding the situation ActuallyPrettyFunny), as well as the fact that Lulu's adventure [[AllForNothing was completely pointless anyway]], considering that [[ShaggyDogStory they just bought a futuristic toilet while she was out]]. Not to mention they seem to have made up as shown by Lulu's character trailer.
* 2). And the reason why she decided to work at Warioware specifically? Simple: [[PrecociousCrush Young Cricket]] works there.

[[WMG:A future game will feature a guest appearance by Mario.]]
If there's another ''[=WarioWare=]'' game, it would be interesting to see a set of microgames made by the red plumber himself. He could even have a dual stage where he and Wario feud with one another.

[[WMG: Future updates to ''[=WarioWare=]: Get It Together!'']]
This is the first game in the series to have many different playable characters, so it would also be the first time there might be balance patches and roster updates.

Characters with a BalanceBuff would include:
* 9-Volt: Pressing down will allow him to stop in place. His yo-yo will now have minor [[HomingProjectile homing capacity]], allowing for greater room for error when hitting things.
* Kat & Ana: They now stop in midair when throwing shuriken, just as 9-Volt stops when launching his yo-yo. And just like 9-Volt, holding down when they're on the ground will allow them to stay on the ground, allowing them to be useful in more microgames.
* Pyoro: Tongue attack's speed will increase. There will also now be a transparent line showing where the tongue would go, including all instances of ricochets off walls and ceilings.
* Dr. Crygor: Movement speed will increase when swimming.

Characters with a {{Nerf}} would include:
* Ashley: Movement speed and projectile speed will decrease.
* Orbulon: Vertical range of the tractor beam will decrease.

Additional playable characters and their microgame sets, if any:
* Fronk: Can fly. Attacks in a circular field of effect with himself at the center. Includes a small set of extra-fast microgames. Appears only within the elevator stages. He will not vanish if he shows up in the microgame "Sanitation Station," as there are multiple instances of him.
** Description: "9-Volt's pet, but don't call him one! He turned 5 recently, but [[BrickJoke thanks to continuous 8-bit yoga]], he looks as young as ever!"
* 13-Amp: Can fly and shoots projectiles diagonally in the direction she's facing. Whether she shoots up or down depends on if she last ascended or descended. Includes a second set of Nintendo Classics microgames.
** Description: "A young rapping phenomenon with a 'winner takes all' attitude. She seems to have mellowed out after losing a rap battle against 18-Volt."
* [[TheCameo Waluigi]]: Has same controls as Young Cricket, except with inverted gravity. The top of the screen counts as a ceiling. Includes a second set of Anything Goes microgames, except all of them have Waluigi or his icon somewhere in them.

[[WMG:The next [=WarioWare=] game after ''Get it Together!'' will be a direct sequel to it.]]
''Get it Together!'' has been out for a long while without any substantial updates or DLC. If they dont decide to switch it up entirely for the next game (as they usually would) then any new content to this style of [=WarioWare=] gameplay is more likely to come in a full-on sequel. Some possibilities include...
* New playable characters and buffs/nerfs to existing ones.
** Doris 1: Similar to Mona in that she flies, doesn't stop moving, and bounces off walls when hitting them. Can only move directly straight in the 4 cardinal directions. Holding the A button makes her stop in place and continually swing a broom in the direction you aim, which is also limited to the 4 cardinal directions. The broom functions as an attack and as a method of blowing away objects.
*** Description: "Crygor's cleaning robot, she ended up getting abandoned by him by accident, but she holds no hard feelings!"
** Joe: Dressed in rock climbing gear. Similar to 18-Volt in that he doesn't move, and can aim in any direction with unlimited range. Throws a grappling hook rather than a projectile. Joe will automatically be pulled towards whatever it hits and attach to that surface. The impact of Joe hitting a surface functions as an attack.
*** Description: "Mona's manager, who seems to change jobs as often as she does! Managing these jobs is busy work, so he's taking a break with Wario's game."
** Pyoro 2: Controls identically to how he did in the original [=WarioWare=], but with faster walking speed compared to Pyoro, and with the ability to walk on walls and along the ceiling.
** Jimmy P.: Acts similarly to Jimmy T., but instead of multiple, quick dashes, he charges up longer ones.
*** Description: This disco dancer loves dogs and the beach. Could he be related to Jimmy T.? Who knows!
** All the new characters described in the previous WMG.
* Of course, a new story. However, it will keep the same general premise of digitizing themselves to enter their games.
* A set of microgames for characters that havent yet had ADayInTheLimelight.
** Joe
** Pyoro
** Doris 1
** 13-Amp
* Jossed. The [=WarioWare=] game following ''Get it Together!'' more closely resembles a sequel to ''Smooth Moves''.
[[WMG:If a sequel to [=WarioWare=] DIY happens, it will use the same "Playable characters" mechanic as ''Get it Together!'']]
The original [=WarioWare=] DIY had limited controls for playing microgames, but for good reason. You were only able to tap objects on screen without swiping or sliding, which had the advantage of all microgames being easy to understand how to play at a quick glance. Sadly, it came with the natural drawback that any microgame you'd ever create or play could never be too complex. Incorporating the gimmick of playable characters into a game like DIY would yield the benefit without the drawback, because any given character always controls the same way in any situation, regardless of the upcoming microgame. If it releases for the Nintendo Switch, microgame creation would use the touchscreen.

[[WMG:''[=WarioWare=]: Move It!'' will have the cast fully voiced again, as they were in ''Gold'']]
It was very odd for ''Get it Together!'' to switch to VoiceGrunting when the game before it had well-recieved full voice acting. Even weirder is that the cutscene shown in the second trailer for ''Move It!'' implies that the series will go BACK to full voice acting again. This will be the first game in the series with Wario's new VA. So perhaps the only reason ''Get it Together!'' is an outlier is because Charles Martinet just wasn't comfortable with fully voiced dialogue as Wario?
* Confirmed in ''Move It'', where all the major characters have voice acting.

[[WMG:''[=WarioWare=]'' will eventually get an animated series.]]
Let's face it: The main cast has far greater potential for a cartoon than any other well-known Nintendo IP[[note]] The employees of the first ''[=WarioWare=]'' game alone consist of Wario himself, a naive 2000 year old alien, the ultimate Nintendo superfan, a woman with every retail job under the sun, a mad scientist inventor, twin preschooler ninjas, two talking FunnyAnimals that drive a taxi, and a celebrity DiscoDan. The list has only grown since then, each one weirder and quirkier than the last.[[/note]] (Yes, even [[Franchise/SuperMarioBros the big one]]). Not to mention this series is far more comfortable/familiar with full voice acting. Microgames will be incorporated into the show in some manner. Perhaps as {{Scene Transition}}s?

[[WMG:A future game will involve more ''VideoGame/WarioLand'' characters in the story]]
One way this could happen is through Captain Syrup opening up a rival microgame studio to directly compete with Wario, with the microgame sets branching between [=WarioWare=] Inc. and Syrup's studio (staffed either by some employees she poached, or familiar ''Wario Land'' baddies). The final set would be Wario and Syrup's rivalry escalating to the point where both of them (via a series of {{Contrived Coincidence}}s) accidentally unleash [[VideoGame/WarioLand3 Rudy the Clown]] to generally wreak havoc on Diamond City, with the both of them agreeing to tone down their hostilities after defeating him.

[[WMG:Mona and 5-Volt are sisters]]
They look a lot alike, you can't deny me.
