[[WMG: Album 4 will dive into experimental music.]]
A "Magical Mystery Tour"-"White Album" level shift may be on the way for the band. James Murphy, a renowned experimental electronic musician is collaborating on the album, and if the press is any indication, the album will have a jazz inflection to it. The Suburbs kind of brought the last two albums together. There's a sense of completeness to that album, like they've been trying to get to that point since Funeral. Arcade Fire is probably ready to diverge away from relatively safe indie rock and move into more complex territory. Jazz + indie electronic + ambitious alt. rock mastery = some seriously weird shit.
** Confirmed. ''Reflektor'' is a double album that (based on the songs have been revealed so far) combines the band's usual baroque indie rock with {{Retraux}} dance music and theatrical, Bowie-esque glam rock. One track is eleven minutes long.

[[WMG: The unidentified "runner" in "The Wilderness Downtown" is WebVideo/ToddInTheShadows.]]
TheFaceless? Check. Gray hoodie? Check. Piano music? Check.
* Todd, in one of his videos, says he was happy that Arcade Fire (among several other indie bands) made it big, so apparently he's something of a fan...
[[WMG: The fourth album will have three title tracks.]]
Funeral had none, Neon Bible had one, and The Suburbs had two. Why not continue the progression?

[[WMG: The Grammy Performance was a giant "Fuck you" to the Grammys.]]

Think about it: why would they choose one of the less impressive songs on The Suburbs, have blinding streetlights, and threaten professional BMX bikers safety? It was all a massive trolling.

[[WMG: "Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)" will be the last single off of The Suburbs.]]
Penultimate track off of the album? Check. Extreme popularity among fans? Check. Hell, it's even being played as the last song at a lot of the Suburbs tour shows now, a position usually going to "Rebellion (Lies)," "Wake Up," or "Intervention."
* Confirmed! It even has an [[http://www.sprawl2.com/ interactive music video]] as well.

[[WMG: The next album will focus on the subject of families]]
They've focused on childhood, growing up, young adulthood, and there's that haunting line "I want a daughter while I'm still young".
