''Thrill Kill'' is an [[{{Vaporware}} unreleased]] [[{{Gorn}} ultra-violent]] ([[ValuesDissonance for its]] [[SeinfeldIsUnfunny time]]) fighting game for the Sony UsefulNotes/PlayStation. Set in an urban version of Hell, the characters were all incredibly evil mortals, damned for various atrocities, including murder. However, rather than being sent directly to their just desserts, they're able to fight each other for another chance in the mortal world, watched over by Marukka the Goddess of Secrets, who has organized the infernal tournament (simply because she's bored) and promised the winner reincarnation on Earth.

The game is notable for a number of reasons. The first is for having a four-way 3D battle system, something that had never been done to the fullest like this before. '''[[OvershadowedByControversy The game is also quite notable for the controversy surrounding it]].''' The game's [[{{Gorn}} ultra violence]] and dark [[CombatSadomasochist sadomasochistic]] themes caused it to get quite a bit of flack from [[Creator/ElectronicArts EA]], who [[ExecutiveMeddling forcibly shelved]] the game from release to avoid it tarnishing their image. EA also shot down any chance of the game getting a release by any other publisher, believing the game to be too violent to release. Thrill Kill is also notable for being one of the first video games to receive an [[AdultsOnlyRating AO (Adults Only) rating]], though the rating never went to full use due to the game never getting officially released.

Even though the game was officially unreleased, the developers leaked the game unto the Internet, allowing many people to find and download unfinished versions from the Internet.

* Belladonna Marie Cocherto / ''Belladonna'': A housewife and librarian from Savannah, Georgia, who, after discovering that her husband was having an affair with her sister, snapped and transformed into a deadly dominatrix, murdering them both. She is armed with an electric cattle prod. [[ElectrifiedBathtub She died after committing suicide by electrocuting herself with her cattle prod while taking a bath,]] [[TheCoronerDothProtestTooMuch which was reported as being "accidental".]]
* Gabriel Faustus /''Dr. Faustus'': A [[MadDoctor deranged]] [[DeadlyDoctor plastic surgeon]] from Los Angeles, who intentionally disfigured many of his patients. He is armed with a scalpel and has a set of metal "jaws" attached to his own face that resembles a bear trap, which he also uses to attack with. He died from an infection [[HoistByHisOwnPetard caused by the grafting of said contraption onto his face]].
* Cleetus T. Radley / ''Cleetus'': A murderous [[DeepSouth redneck]] [[ImAHumanitarian cannibal]] from Kentucky who fights with a severed leg of one of his past victims. He starved to death after contracting a tapeworm infestation.
* Billy B. Tattoo / ''The Imp'': [[TheNapoleon A violent dwarf]] government employee with a Napoleon complex from Albany, New York, who is supported by stilts. He died from complications after amputating both his legs to replace them with the stilts.
* Franklin Peppermint / ''Mammoth'': A gigantic, feral simian creature who was previously a human postal worker from Covington, Indiana, nicknamed "Mammoth" due to his large size. [[GoingPostal After he was fired from his job, he flew into a rage]] and [[RoaringRampageOfRevenge killed many of his colleagues and customers in a bloody rampage.]] He committed suicide afterward by shooting himself.
* Raymond Raystack / ''Oddball'': An FBI criminal profiler from Belfast, Maine, who, after a long career of tracking serial killers, was driven insane and [[HeWhoFightsMonsters became one himself.]] His costumes feature him [[WithMyHandsTied bound in straitjackets, having his arms tied behind his back, or with them amputated altogether]], and so he relies on [[DanceBattler using his head, torso and legs to attack]]. He died after being [[KlingonPromotion gunned down by his protégé]].
* William J. Whitefield / ''Tormentor'': A sadistic [[VigilanteMan vigilante]] [[TheJudge judge]] from Phoenix, who is armed with a chain. He was executed on the electric chair after being found guilty of acquitting criminals in his court so that he could [[SerialKillerKiller secretly torture and murder them himself]].
* Violet Boregard / ''Violet'': The youngest playable character in the game. A teenage traveling circus contortionist from Austria who [[DoesNotLikeMen developed a hatred for men]] after killing a man who attacked her in her dressing room after one of her performances. She died from internal injuries after her spinal cord was ruptured
* Judas: One of the later unlockable sub-bosses. Deformed conjoined twins at the sternum, without any legs. One of the upper halves simply "walks" on his hands whilst the other upper half fights.
* Cain: A sub-boss who is [[KillItWithFire a pyromaniac covered in flames]].
* Marukka: The final boss. She is a demonic female deity from a dimension in Hell who was responsible for the organization of the tournament.
* The Gimp: An unlockable TrainingDummy who can't be controlled directly and is only available in Practice Mode. He is a masochistic gimp [[ShapedLikeItself who enjoys pain.]]

!! This game contains examples of:

* AbnormalLimbRotationRange: Violet's bones appear to be made of rubber considering how flexible she is. Her Bio mentions her as nothing more than a skeleton.
* AnArmAndALeg: Almost all of the finishing moves involve completely dismembering the opponent, sometimes to the extent that they are in small pieces. [[TickleTorture Almost all of them.]]
** Cletus uses a disembodied leg as a weapon. After winning a match, he will sometimes begin to [[{{Squick}} chew on it]].
* AxeCrazy: '''Everyone''', with special mention going to [[HairTriggerTemper Dr.]] [[TheDogBitesBack Faustus]], [[HeWhoFightsMonsters Oddball]], [[HumblePie Mammoth]] and [[AnArmAndALeg Cletus.]]
* BloodierAndGorier: Was hyped as being more hardcore than even ''MortalKombat''. In most cases, it wasn't lying.
* BodyHorror: Most characters. Faustus and the Imp actually ''start'' there, within the game's context. It was also what killed Violet in the first place (bodies can only bend so far, after all). Special mention should also go to Judas, [[ConjoinedTwins for obvious reasons]].
* BondageIsBad: This is Belladonna's theme.
** Each character has at least four costumes, many of which are bondage or fetish wear.
* CombatSadomasochist: Belladonna and William, the latter commiting 52 murders by way of this.
* ConjoinedTwins: Judas. The figure is comprised of two men connected from the waist like a human [[WesternAnimation/CatDog CatDog]]. During fights, one man attacks with his fists while the other acts as the legs, rotating positions if needed.
* DancePartyEnding: Every character has one finishing move that involves the winner and the last guy standing dancing. [[KillItWithFire Unless it's Cain, who burns the last fighter before dancing.]]
* DeadlyDoctor: Dr. Faustus.
* DeepSouth: Cletus [[CaptainObvious of course]].
* DigitalPiracyIsOkay: A few of the orignal designers releasing bootleg versions of the game all over the web is the reason why this game hasn't been completely forgotten.
* DrivenToMadness: Oddball's backstory.
* EvilLaugh: Cain delivers one after performing a Thrill Kill.
* EvilVersusEvil: All the characters are damned souls entering the tournament in hopes of being reincarnated out of hell.
* FinishingMove: The [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sx8KodZ29fY&feature=related#watch-main-area "Thrill Kills"]].
** Belladonna has one finisher that subverts this. She crouches out of frame directly in front of her dazed victim while they start to make perturbed noises, but then the camera zooms out to show that she's merely tickling their foot.
* ForTheEvulz: The only explanation for Dr. Faustus's backstory. He just really loved seriously harming his patients.
* GoingPostal: Mammoth's backstory.
* {{Gorn}}: And LOTS of it.
* HeWhoFightsMonsters: Oddball's backstory involves this.
* HumblePie: Mammoth. Frail soul within a hostal body, went [[RoaringRampageOfRevenge postal after being fired]], and commited [[BoomHeadshot suicide]]. Franklin just couldn't catch a break.
* ImAHumanitarian: Cletus. Some of his finishing moves even involves him gruesomely eating his opponents.
* TheJudge: Tormentor was one before he went to Hell.
* KarmicDeath: Many of the characters die in ironic fashions in their back stories.
* KillItWithFire: Cain's defining characteristic.
* LifeMeter: Notably inverted with the "Kill Meters". Instead of going down when you take damage, it fills up when you inflict damage (it usually forces players to be more aggressive in their gameplay strategy). When the Kill Meter is full, you can kill off one of the other 3 opponents. You repeat this process until you're down to the last opponent, at which point you can unleash a [[TitleDrop "Thrill]] [[FinishingMove Kill".]]
* MadDoctor: Dr. Faustus.
* TheNapoleon: The Imp.
* OurDemonsAreDifferent: Marukka.
* PaletteSwap: Each character has four alternate costumes they can wear, with at least one of each BDSM themed.
* PyroManiac: Cain.
* RapidFireFisticuffs / SpamAttack: All the characters have at least one thrill kill that involves them hitting the opponent with a barrage of strikes until they explode. [[AlphaStrike Then there's that one attack of Dr. Faustus's where he rapidly stabs the opponent so many times with his scalpel that]] he needs to stop his attacking arm with his other arm.
* {{Reincarnation}}: The main goal for every character, as this is their reward for winning the tournament.
* SerialKiller: Cletus, Tormentor and Oddball were all this in their past life. In Oddball's backstory, he was a FBI profiler meant to investigate them, but later [[DrivenToMadness went insane]] and [[HeWhoFightsMonsters became one himself]].
* SerialKillerKiller: Tormentor's backstory involves him killing criminals that [[TheJudge he himself convicted]]. He was eventually caught and trailed as one for his actions.
* ShoutOut: One of Judas's costumes has the twins cosplaying [[VideoGame/StreetFighter Ryu and Ken]].
* SlasherSmile: Cain.
* SpiritualSuccessor: Since this game was never released to the public, its engine was then used to make the more mediocre (yet still pretty violent) [[{{Music/WuTangClan}} Wu-Tang Shaolin Style]].
* TrainingDummy: The training mode lets you beat on a man in a gimp suit who never seems to die, and actually [[TooKinkyToTorture loves the violence you inflict on him]].
* TooKinkyToTorture: The Gimp.
* VillainProtagonist: Pretty much everyone, though some characters are more sinister than others.
* WithMyHandsTied: Oddball. He ''is'' in a straightjacket after all.
