->Classic platforming returns! Welcome home, platforming. Oh, look! You've brought your friends, questing and adventure! We made you a cake.
-->--Dorado, in the trailer.

The Legend of el Lobodestroyo Vs. la Liga de los Villanos (Lobodestroyo for short) is an upcoming 3D PlatformGame by Left Handed Games Studios, which was funded on Website/Kickstarter in December 2013, and is slated for release on Platform/MacOS, PC, Platform/Linux, Platform/OUYA, and all three eighth generation consoles. Like VideoGame/AHatInTime, a similar Kickstarter-funded video game, Lobodestroyo seeks to revive the 3D "collectathon" genre, but this game is more specifically an homage to Creator/Rare games of the late nineties and early noughties, especially VideoGame/BanjoKazooie.

Set in Costa Lucha, a Latin American-inspired country inhabited by Funny Animals, the plot concerns Mutt, the runt of the litter in a pack of crime-fighting luchador wolves led by the legendary vigilante, El Lobodestroyo. One morning, Mutt awakens to find that the rest of the pack has been kidnapped, and El Lobodestroyo's mask and belt are strewn on the floor of their lair. Eager to prove himself a hero, Mutt decides to adopt El Lobodestroyo's identity (aided by Dorado, a sarcastic spirit that lives in the champ's belt), rescue his friends, and bring the perpetrator to justice.

!!Tropes:

* AprilFoolsDay: Update #37 on their Kickstarter page stated that not only was the game launching it two months, it was being developed in VideoGame/ProjectSpark and would be exclusive to Platform/XboxOne.
* FunnyAnimal: The protagonist, Mutt, is portrayed in the trailer as a typical example of the trope, with (rounded) wolf's face and fur, but humanoid body proportions. The antagonist designs seen in the artwork, like Captain Macaw or Commander Salamander, are also drawn in the same manner.
* GottaCatchThemAll: Multiple points in the trailer show that purple candy corn-like items are the most frequent thing you collect, and one shot also shows that gold tokens need to be collected as well.
* ItemGet: Parodied in the Kickstarter trailer as "TOKEN GET!"
* SecondaryCharacterTitle: The initial trailer explains that Lobodestroyo is a legendary superhero that's now gone missing and presumed dead, and his entire line of succession is also gone, leaving Mutt as the only one who can pick up the mantle.
