'''''Protect Me Knight''''' (まもって騎士) is an indie TowerDefense game by YuzoKoshiro's team of game developers from Ancient with Yuzo composing the game's music. The game pays homage to [[The8BitEraOfConsoleVideoGames the classic 8-bit days of gaming]] such as the {{N|intendoEntertainmentSystem}}ES with its pixelated art-style and midi-styled music. It even boots up as if the player is trying to get the cartridge to work by blowing into it.[[labelnote:*]]You can skip this to avoid any frustration of getting into the game.[[/labelnote]]

The gameplay premise is simple: Pick one of four character classes -- the [[BarbarianHero Fighter]], the [[BlackMagicianGirl Mage]], the [[CuteBruiser Amazon]], or the [[InstantAwesomeJustAddNinja Ninja]] -- and protect your cute, happy-go-lucky [[EverythingIsBetterWithPrincesses Princess]] from harm. The problem: [[EverythingTryingToKillYou everything is trying kick her cute little butt]]. The kinds {{mooks}} our brave defenders face-off against ranges from goblins, zombies, minotaurs, demons, and even mischievous [[CuteMonsterGirl cute succubi]] will have at you for defending the Princess. If that wasn't enough, dragons, giant lizard men, and other bosses will show up on occasions to stomp down anyone ''and'' anything in their path. Luckily our brave heroes can fight off these enemies with their weapons of choice, special abilities, and at the expense of the Heart Points earned to unleash [[SmartBomb a wide-area attack]]. They can also move her out of harm's way and to set up a defense perimeter around her if things way out of hand in a particular area.

The game features an Arcade Mode in which players can progress through progressively difficult stages and use the leftover Heart Points to level your hero's abilities, and a Survival Mode to test the player's ability to withstand an endless wave of enemies. It also features co-op up to four players, sadly it's local multi-player only.

The game was released to XboxLiveArcade on May 14, 2010 under its Japanese name in the Indie Games section for $2.99. An old demo for PC can be downloaded the Japanese website [[http://www.ancient.co.jp/~game/mamotte_knight/ here]][[labelnote:*]](click around the floppy-disc on the page to download the PC demo)[[/labelnote]] with the Xbox 360's trial version and purchased [[http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/Product/%E3%81%BE%E3%82%82%E3%81%A3%E3%81%A6%E9%A8%8E%E5%A3%AB/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d802585504f8 here]].
